Second: It is recommended to say the following supplicatory prayer that Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s.) used to say everyday in Rajab:

خَابَ الْوَافِدُوْنَ عَلٰى غَيْرِكَ

Those who come to anyone other than You have really gone wrong.

وَ خَسِرَ الْمُتَعَرِّضُوْنَ اِلَّا لَكَ

Those who visit anyone other than You have missed the right way.

وَ ضَاعَ الْمُلِمُّوْنَ اِلَّا بِكَ

Those who depend upon other than You have lost except those who depend upon You.

وَ اَجْدَبَ الْمُنْتَجِعُوْنَ اِلَّا مَنِ انْتَجَعَ فَضْلَكَ

Those who have had recourse to other than Your favors will have lived in poverty except those who have recourse to Your favors.

بَابُكَ مَفْتُوْحٌ لِلرَّاغِبِيْنَ

Your door is always open before those who desire for You.

وَ خَيْرُكَ مَبْذُوْلٌ لِلطَّالِبِيْنَ

Your wealth is always available for those who seek it.

وَ فَضْلُكَ مُبَاحٌ لِلسَّاۤئِلِيْنَ

Your favors are always obtainable by those who ask for them.

وَ نَيْلُكَ مُتَاحٌ لِلْآمِلِيْنَ

Your rewards are accessible for those who hope for them.

وَ رِزْقُكَ مَبْسُوْطٌ لِمَنْ عَصَاكَ

Your sustenance is extended for even those who disobey You.

وَ حِلْمُكَ مُعْتَرِضٌ لِمَنْ نَاوَاكَ

Your forbearance is reachable for even those who antagonize You.

عَادَتُكَ الْاِحْسَانُ اِلَى الْمُسِيْئِيْنَ

Your habit is to do favor to the wrongdoers

وَ سَبِيْلُكَ الْاِبْقَاءُ عَلَى الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ

and Your custom is to overlook the transgressors.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاهْدِنِي هُدَى الْمُهْتَدِيْنَ

O Allah, (please do) lead me to the path of the well-guided ones,

وَ ارْزُقْنِي اجْتِهَادَ الْمُجْتَهِدِيْنَ

grant me the determination of the hardworking ones,

وَ لَا تَجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْغَافِلِيْنَ الْمُبْعَدِيْنَ

do not include me with the unmindful ones who are dismissed (from Your mercy),

وَ اغْفِرْ لِيْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ۔

and forgive me on the Judgment Day.
