TASBEEHAT & SALAWAT FOR EVERY DAY IN RAMADHAN
Second: He has also said: It is recommended to say the following doxology (zikr) everyday in Ramadan. It consists of ten parts; each part comprises ten phrases of glorification of Almighty Allah:
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ المُصَوِّرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Maker of darkness and light.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰى،
Glory be to Allah the Causer of the grain and the stone to germinate.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
Glory be-to Allah, the Creator of all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرٰى وَمَا لَا يُرٰى
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ،
Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ السَّمِيْعِ الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ اَسْمَعَ مِنْهُ،
Glory be to Allah, the All-hearing; there is nothing is more hearing than He is.
يَسْمَعُ مِنْ فَوْقِ عَرْشِهِ مَا تَحْتَ سَبْعِ اَرَضِيْنَ،
He hears from above His Throne what is under seven layers of the earth.
وَيَسْمَعُ مَا فِيْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ،
He hears that which is in the murk of lands and oceans.
وَيَسْمَعُ الْاَنِيْنَ وَالشَّكْوٰى
He hears the moaning and the complaints.
وَيَسْمَعُ السِّرَّ وَاَخْفٰى،
He hears the secret and what is more veiled than secrets.
وَيَسْمَعُ وَسَاوِسَ الصُّدُوْرِ
He hears the inspirations of hearts.
وَلَا يُصِمُّ سَمْعَهُ صَوْتٌ
No sound can ever deafen His hearing.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الُمُصَوِّرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Maker of darkness and light.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰى،
Glory be to Allah the Causer of the grain and the stone to germinate.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرٰى وَمَا لَا يُرٰى،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ،
Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الْبَصيرِ الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ اَبْصَرَ مِنْهُ،
Glory be to Allah, the All-seeing; there is nothing more seeing than He is.
يُبْصِرُ مِنْ فَوْقِ عَرْشِهِ مَا تَحْتَ سَبْعِ اَرَضِيْنَ،
He sees from above His Throne what is under seven layers of the earth.
وَيُبْصِرُ مَا فِيْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ،
He sees that which is in the murk of lands and oceans.
لَا تُدْرِكُهُ الْاَبْصَارُ
Visions cannot comprehend Him.
وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الْاَبْصَارَ
He comprehends all visions.
وَهُوَ اللَّطِيْفُ الْخَبِيْرُ،
He is the Knower of subtleties, the Aware.
لَا تُغْشِىْ بَصَرَهُ الظُّلْمَةُ،
Darkness cannot screen His sight.
وَلَا يُسْتَتَرُ مِنْهُ بِسِتْرٍ،
None can hide from Him behind any screen.
وَلَا يُوَارِيْ مِنْهُ جِدَارٌ،
No wall can ever prevent Him from seeing.
وَلَا يَغِيْبُ عَنْهُ بَرٌّ وَلَا بَحْرٌ،
No land and no ocean can ever be absent from Him.
وَلَا يَكُنُّ مِنْهُ جَبَلٌ مَا فِيْ اَصْلِهِ، وَلَا قَلْبٌ مَا فِيْهِ،
No mountain can ever conceal its root from Him or conceals its center from Him.
وَلَا جَنْبٌ مَا فِيْ قَلْبِهِ،
No side of it can conceal its center from Him.
وَلَا يَسْتَتِرُ مِنْهُ صَغِيْرٌ وَلَا كَبِيْرٌ،
Neither big nor small thing can ever hide from Him.
وَلَا يَسْتَخْفِيْ مِنْهُ صَغِيْرٌ لِصِغَرِهِ،
No tiny thing can ever be unseen by Him due to its smallness.
وَلَا يَخْفٰى عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاۤءِ،
Surely, nothing is hidden from Him in the earth or in the heavens.
هُوَ الَّذِيْ يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الْاَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاۤءُ،
He it is Who fashions you in the wombs as pleases Him.
لَا اِلـٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ
There is no god save Him; the Almighty, the Wise.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،

Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِيْ يُنْشِئُ السَّحَابَ الثِّقَالَ،
Glory be to Allah Who raises the heavy clouds.
وَيُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ،
The thunder declares His glory with His praise,
وَالْمَلَآئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيْفَتِهِ،
and the angels too for awe of Him;
وَيُرْسِلُ الصَّوَاعِقِ فَيُصِيْبُ بِهَا مَنْ يَشَاۤءُ،
and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases.
وَيُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ،
He sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy.
وَيُنَزِّلُ الْمَاۤءَ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ بِكَلِمَتِهِ
He causes water to descend from the heavens through His Word.
وَيُنْبِتُ النَّبَاتَ بِقُدْرَتِهِ،
He causes plants to grow out of His power.
وَيَسْقُطُ الْوَرَقُ بِعِلْمِهِ،
Leaves fall down by His knowledge.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ
Glory be to Allah: not the weight of an atom becomes absent from Him,
فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاۤءِ،
in the heavens or in the earth,
وَلَا اَصْغَرُ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَا اَكْبَرُ
and neither less than that nor greater,
اِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِيْنٍ
but (all) is in a clear book.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.

Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.

Glory be to Allah, the Maker of darkness and light.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰى،
Glory be to Allah the Causer of the grain and the stone to germinate.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرٰى وَمَا لَا يُرٰى
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ،
Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِيْ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ اُنْثٰى
Glory be to Allah Who knows what every female bears,
وَمَا تَغِيْضُ الْاَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ
and that of which the wombs fall short of completion and that in which they increase;
وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ،
and there is a measure with Him of everything.
عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ الْكَبِيْرُ الْمُتَعَالِ،
The knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Most High.
سَوَاۤءٌ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ اَسَرَّ الْقَوْلَ وَمَنْ جَهَرَ بِهِ،
Alike to Him among you is he who conceals his words and he who speaks them openly,
وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْفٍ بِاللَّيْلِ وَسَارِبٌ بِالنَّهَارِ،
and he who hides himself by night and who goes forth by day.
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ
For his sake, there are angels following one another, before him and behind him,
يَحْفَظُوْنَهُ مِنَ اَمْرِ اللهِ،
who guard him by Allah's commandment.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذي يُمِيْتُ الَاَحْيَاۤءَ، وَيُحْيِىْ الْمَوْتٰى،
Glory be to Allah Who causes the alive to die and restores the dead to life
وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَنْقُصُ الْاَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ،
He knows indeed what the earth diminishes of them.
وَيُقِرُّ فِي الْاَرْحَامِ مَا يَشَاۤءُ اِلٰى اَجَلٍ مُسَمّىً
and He causes what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ المُصَوِّرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.

Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مَالِكِ الْمُلْكِ
Glory be to Allah, Master of the Kingdom!
تُؤْتِى الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ،
You give the kingdom to whomsoever You please
وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاۤءُ،
and take away the kingdom from whomsoever You please,
وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ،
and You exalt whom You please
وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ،
and abase whom You please
بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ
in You hand is the good.
اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَدِيْرٌ،
Surely, You have power over all things.
تُوْلِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ،
You make the night to pass into the day
وَتُوْلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ،
and You make the day to pass into the night,
تُخْرِجُ الْحَىَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ،
and You bring forth the living from the dead
وَتُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ،
and You bring forth the dead from the living,
وَتَرْزُقُ مَنْ تَشَاۤءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابِ
and You give sustenance to whom You please without measure.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ المُصَوِّرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.

Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِيْ عِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ
Glory be to Allah with Whom are the keys of the unseen treasures.
لَا يَعْلَمُهَا اِلَّا هُوَ
None knows them but He.
وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ،
He knows what is in the land and the sea,
وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ اِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا،
and there falls not a leaf but He knows it,
وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْاَرْضِ
nor a grain in the darkness of the earth,
وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ اِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِيْنٍ
nor anything green nor dry but it is all in a clear book.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ المُصَوِّرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Maker of darkness and light.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰى،
Glory be to Allah the Causer of the grain and the stone to germinate.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرٰى وَمَا لَا يُرٰى
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ،
Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لَا يُحْصِيْ مِدْحَتَهُ الْقَاۤئِلُوْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, No speaker can ever declare His actual praiseworthiness.
وَلَا يَجْزِيْ بِاۤلٰآئِهِ الشَّاكِرُوْنَ الْعَابِدُوْنَ،
All the thankful ones and worshippers cannot thank Him adequately for His (innumerable) bounties.
وَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ وَفَوْقَ مَا نَقُوْلُ،
He is as same as He has described Himself and above whatever we say about Him.
وَاللهُ سُبْحَانَهُ كَمَا اَثْنٰى عَلٰى نَفْسِهِ
Allah, the Glorified, is as same as He has praised Himself, by saying:
وَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَئٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ اِلَّاا بِمَا شَاۤءَ
“They cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases.
وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ
His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth,
وَلَا يَؤُدُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ
and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.”
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.

Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.

Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.

Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِي يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا
Glory be to Allah Who knows that which goes down into the earth and that which comes out of it,
وَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيْهَا،
and knows that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up to it.
وَلَا يَشْغَلُهُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَايَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا
That which goes down into the earth does not occupy Him
عَمَّا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيْهَا،
from that which comes down from the heavens and that which goes up to it.
وَلَا يَشْغَلُهُ مَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيْهَا
That which comes down from the heavens and that which goes up to it does not occupy Him
عَمَّا يَلِجُ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا،
from that which goes down into the earth and that which comes out of it.
وَلَا يَشْغَلُهُ عِلْمُ شَىْءٍ عَنْ عِلْمِ شَىْءٍ
The knowledge of anything does not occupy Him from the knowledge of something else.
وَلَا يَشْغَلُهُ خَلْقُ شَىْءٍ عَنْ خَلْقِ شَيْءٍ،
The creation of anything does not occupy Him from the creation of something else.
وَلَا حِفْظُ شَيْءٍ، عَنْ حِفْظِ شَيْءٍ
The preservation of anything does not occupy Him from the preservation of something else.
وَلَا يُسَاوِيْهِ شَيْءٌ
Nothing is equal to Him.
وَلَا يَعْدِلُهُ شَيْءٌ
Nothing is His match.
لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ
Nothing is like Him.
وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْبَصِيْرُ
He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Originator of the heavens and the earth,
جَاعِلِ الْمَلَآئِكَةِ رُسُلًا اُوْلٰي اَجْنِحَةٍ،
the Maker of the angels, messengers flying on wings,
مَثْنٰى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ،
two, and three, and four.
يَزِيْدُ فِى الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاۤءُ
He increases in creation what He pleases.
اِنَّ اللهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ،
Surely, Allah has power over all things.
ما يَفْتَحِ اللهُ للِنَّاسِ مِنْ رَحْمَةٍ فَلَا مُمْسِكَ لَهَا،
Whatever Allah grants to men of His mercy, there is none to withhold it,
وَمَا يُمْسِكُ فَلَا مُرْسِلَ لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
and what He withholds there is none to send it forth after that.
وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ
He is the Mighty, the Wise.
 سُبْحَانَ اللهِ بَارِئِ النَّسَمِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Shaper of breathes.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ المُصَوِّرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Fashioner.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ الْاَزْوَاجِ كُلِّهَا،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all pairs.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ جَاعِلِ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرِ،
Glory be to Allah, the Maker of darkness and light.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَالِقِ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوٰى،
Glory be to Allah the Causer of the grain and the stone to germinate.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of all things.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ خَالِقِ مَا يُرٰى وَمَا لَا يُرٰى
Glory be to Allah, the Creator of the seen and the unseen.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ،
Glory be to Allah as much as the ink of His Words.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ الَّذِيْ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ،
Glory be to Allah Who knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth.
مَا يَكُوْنُ مِنْ نَجْوٰى ثَلَاثَةٍ اِلَّا هُوَ رَابِعُهُمْ،
Nowhere is there a secret counsel between three persons but He is the fourth of them,
وَلَا خَمْسَةٍ اِلَّاا هُوَ سَادِسُهُمْ،
nor (between) five but He is the sixth of them,
وَلَا اَدْنٰى مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَا اَكْثَرَ اِلَّا هُوَ مَعَهُمْ اَيْنَمَا كَانُوْا،
nor less than that nor more but He is with them wherever they are.
ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوْا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
Then, He will inform them of what they did on the Day of Resurrection.
اِنَّ اللهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ۔
Surely, Allah is Cognizant of all things.
Third: Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid ibn Tawus have also said: You are advised to say the following invocation of blessings upon the Holy Prophet everyday in Ramadan:
اِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلَآئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ
Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings to the Prophet.
يَا اَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا صَلُّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْمًا،
O you who believe,Call for Divine blessings on him and salute him with a becoming salutation.
لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَبِّ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَسُبْحَانَكَ،
Here I am at Your service, my Lord! Doing that which - pleases You, and glory be to You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
وَبَارِكَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
and send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَاٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ
just as You have blessed and conferred benedictions upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham.
اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ،
You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.
اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please do) have mercy upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
كَمَا رَحِمْتَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ واٰلَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ
just as You had mercy upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham.
اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ،
You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory.
اَللّٰهُمَّ سَلِّمْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please do) send peace upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
كَمَا سَلَّمْتَ عَلٰى نُوْحٍ فِى الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
just as You sent peace upon Noah among all the creatures.
اَللّٰهُمَّ امْنُنْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please do) confer favors on Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
كَمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلٰى مُوْسٰى وَهَارُوْنَ،
just as You conferred a favor upon (Prophets) Moses and Aaron.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا شَرَّفْتَنَا بِهِ
O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad just as You have honored us by him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا هَدَيْتَنَا بِهِ،
O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad just as You have guided us through him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُوْدًا يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ وَالْاٰخِرُوْنَ،
and send his a praiseworthy standing due to which all the past and the coming generations shall covet him.
عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ كُلَّمَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسٌ اَوْ غَرَبَتْ،
Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever the sun rises and sets.
عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ كُلَّمَا طَرَفَتْ عَيْنٌ اَوْ بَرَقَتْ،
Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an eye twinkles or glitters.
عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ كُلَّمَا ذُكِرَ السَّلَامُ،
Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever peace is mentioned.
عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ كُلَّمَا سَبَّحَ اللهَ مَلَكٌ اَوْ قَدَّسَهُ،
Upon Muhammad and his Household be peace whenever an angel glorifies or exalts Allah.
السَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ فِى الْاَوَّلِيْنَ،
Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the past generations.
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ فِى الْاٰخِرِيْنَ،
Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household among the last generations.
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ،
Peace be upon Muhammad and his Household in this world and in the Hereafter.
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ الْبَلَدِ الْحَرَامِ
O Allah, Lord of the Holy Town,
وَرَبَّ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ،
Lord of the Rukn (Corner of Ka'bah) and the Maqam (Standing-place near Ka'bah),
وَرَبَّ الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَامِ،
and Lord of legality and sanctuary,
اَبْلِغْ مُحَمَّدًا نَبِيَّكَ عَنَّا السَّلَامَ،
(please do) convey our greetings to Muhammad, Your Prophet.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعْطِ مُحَمَّدًا مِنَ الْبَهَاۤءِ وَالنَّضْرَةِ
O Allah, (please do) grant Muhammad brilliance, bloom,
وَالسُّرُوْرِ وَالْكَرَامَةِ وَالْغِبْطَةِ وَالْوَسِيْلَةِ
delight, honor, happiness, right of intervention,
وَالْمَنْزِلَةِ وَالْمَقَامِ وَالشَّرَفِ وَالرِّفْعَةِ
(exalted) rank, (exalted) position, nobility, elevation,
وَالشَّفَاعَةِ عِنْدَكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
and right of intercession before You on the Resurrection Day,
اَفْضَلَ مَا تُعْطِيْ اَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ،
in the best way You have ever granted to any of Your creations.
وَاَعْطِ مُحَمَّدًا فَوْقَ مَا تُعْطِيْ الْخَلَآئِقَ
(Please) grant Muhammad more than what You grant Your creatures
مِنَ الْخَيْرِ اَضْعَافًا كَثِيْرَةً لَا يُحْصِيْهَا غَيْرُكَ،
with many folds of goodness that none can count save You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Allah, (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
اَطْيَبَ وَاَطْهَرَ وَاَزْكٰى وَاَنْمٰى
with the most excellent, purest, most increasing, most growing,
وَاَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى اَحَدٍ مِنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْاٰخِرِيْنَ،
and best blessings that You have ever conferred on anyone from the past and the coming generations
وَعَلٰى اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ،
and on anyone of Your created beings. O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيٍّ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to 'Ali, the Commander of the Believers,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him, be the enemy of any one who provoke his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِيْ دَمِهِ،
inflict double chastisement on any one who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ نَبيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ السَّلَامُ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Fatimah, the daughter of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his Household,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهَا
be the supporter of those who support her,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهَا
be the enemy of him who provoke her enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلى مَنْ ظَلَمَهَا،
inflict double chastisement on those who wronged her,
وَالْعَنْ مَنْ اٰذٰى نَبِيَّكَ فِيْهَا
and curse those who injured Your Prophet as they injured her.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ اِمامَىِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ،
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two leaders of the Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ والَاهُمَا
be the supporter of any one who supports them,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُمَا،
be the enemy of any one who provoke their enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دِمَآئِهِمَا،
and inflict double chastisement on any one who had a hand in the shedding of their blood.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ اِمامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to 'Ali ibn al-Husayn, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad ibn 'Ali, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Ja'far ibn Muhammad, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُوْسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Musa ibn Ja'far, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who had hand in the shedding of his blood.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوْسٰى اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to 'Ali ibn Musa, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ شَرِكَ فِي دَمِهِ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who had a hand in the shedding of his blood.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad ibn 'Ali, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِي بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to 'Ali ibn Muhammad, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to alii as an ibn 'Ali, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَضَاعِفِ الْعَذَابَ عَلٰى مَنْ ظَلَمَهُ،
and inflict double chastisement upon any one who wronged him.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْخَلَفِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ اِمَامِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to the Successor after him, the leader of Muslims,
وَوَالِ مَنْ وَالَاهُ
be the supporter of any one who supports him,
وَعَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ
be the enemy of any one who invokes his enmity,
وَعَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُ،
and expedite his Relief.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى الْقَاسِمِ وَالطَّاهِرِ اِبْنَي نَبِيِّكَ،
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to al-Qasim and al-Tahir, the two sons of Your Prophet.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى رُقَيَّةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Ruqayyah, the daughter of Your Prophet
وَالْعَنْ مَنْ اٰذٰى نَبِيَّكَ فِيْهَا،
and curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى اُمِّ كُلْثُوْمَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Umm-Kulthum, the daughter of Your Prophet
وَالْعَنْ مَنْ اٰذٰى نَبِيَّكَ فِيْهَا،
and curse those who injured Your Prophet through wronging her.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى ذُرِّيَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ،
O Allah, (please do) send blessings to the offspring of Your Prophet.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اخْلُفْ نَبِيَّكَ فِي اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ،
O Allah, (please) be the representative of Your Prophet among his Household.
اَللّٰهُمَّ مَكِّنْ لَهُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ،
O Allah, (please do) grant them power in the land.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ عَدَدِهِمْ وَمَدَدِهِمْ
O Allah, (please do) include us with their troop, their aides,
وَاَنْصَارِهِمْ عَلَى الْحَقِّ فِى السِّرِّ وَالْعَلَانِيَةِ،
and their supporters on confirming the truth secretly and openly.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اطْلُبْ بِذِحْلِهِمْ وَوِتْرِهِمْ وَدِمَآئِهِمْ
O Allah, (please do) retaliate upon those who wronged and slew them, and those who shed their blood.
وَكُفَّ عَنَّا وَعَنْهُمْ وَعَنْ كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ وَمُؤْمِنَةٍ
And (please) save us, them, and every believing man and women
بَاْسَ كُلِّ بَاغٍ وَطَاغٍ
the evil of all tyrants and transgressors,
وَكُلِّ دَآ بَّةٍ اَنْتَ اٰخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا
and every living creature that You hold it by its forelock.
اِنَّكَ اَشَدُّ بَاْسًا وَاَشَدُّ تَنْكِيْلًا۔
Verily, You are the strongest in prowess and the strongest to give an exemplary punishment.
Sayyid Ibn Tawus adds: You may also say the following:
يَا عُدَّتِيْ فِيْ كُرْبَتِيْ،
O my means in troubles!
وَيَا صَاحِبِيْ فِي شِدَّتِيْ،
O my Companion in hardships!
وَيَا وَلِيِّيْ فِيْ نِعْمَتِيْ،
O Provider of my amenities!
وَيَا غَايَتِيْ فِيْ رَغْبَتِيْ،
O utmost of my desires!
اَنْتَ السَّاتِرُ عَوْرَتِيْ،
It is You Who conceals my defects,
وَالْمُؤْمِنُ رَوْعَتِيْ،
Who relieves my apprehensions,
وَالْمُقِيْلُ عَثْرَتِيْ،
and Who overlooks my slips.
فَاغْفِرْ لِيْ خَطِيْٓئَتِيْ
So, (please do) forgive my sin.
يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
You may also say the following:
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَدْعُوْكَ لِهَمٍّ لَا يُفَرِّجُهُ غَيْرُكَ،
O Allah, I beseech You about a grief that none can relieve save You,
وَلِرَحْمَةٍ لَا تُنَالُ اِلَّا بِكَ،
for mercy that cannot be attained except through You,
وَلِكَرْبٍ لَا يَكْشِفُهُ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،
about hardship from which none can rescue except You,
وَلِرَغْبَةٍ لَا تُبْلَغُ اِلَّا بِكَ،
for desire that cannot be obtained except by You,
وَلِحَاجَةٍ لَا يَقْضِيْهَا اِلَّا اَنْتَ،
and for a need that none can settle save You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَكَمَا كَانَ مِنْ شَاْنِكَ مَا اَذِنْتَ لِيْ بِهِ مِنْ مَسْاَلَتِكَ
O Allah, just as You have decided to allow me to pray You
وَرَحِمْتَنِيْ بِهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِكَ،
and had mercy upon me through allowing me to refer to You,
فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ شَاْنِكَ سَيِّدِيْ الْاِجَابَةُ لِيْ فِيْمَا دَعْوَتُكَ،
so also, please, my Master, decide to respond to me in what I have prayed You for,
وَعَوٰآئِدُ الْاِفْضَالِ فِيْمَا رَجَوْتُكَ،
confer upon me the favors for which I have hoped You,
وَالنَّجَاهُ مِمَّا فَزِعْتُ اِلَيْكَ فِيْهِ،
and grant me redemption from that against which I have resorted to You.
فَاِنْ لَمْ اَكُنْ اَهْلًا اَنْ اَبْلُغَ رَحْمَتَكَ
But if I do not deserve to attain Your mercy,
فَاِنَّ رَحْمَتَكَ اَهْلٌ اَنْ تَبْلُغَنِيْ وَتَسَعَنِيْ،
then, Your mercy is too wide to avoid including and covering me.
وَاِنْ لَمْ اَكُنْ لِلْاِجَابَةِ اَهْلًا
If I do not deserve Your response,
فَاَنْتَ اَهْلُ الْفَضْلِ،
then, You are the worthiest of granting favors
وَرَحْمَتُكَ وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ،
and Your mercy has covered all things.
فَلْتَسَعْنِيْ رَحْمَتُكَ يَا اِلٰـهِيْ
So, let Your mercy include me, O my God.
يَا كَرِيْمُ اَسْاَلُكَ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ
O All-generous! I beseech You in the name of Your Noble Face
اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ،
to bless Muhammad and his Household,
وَاَنْ تُفَرِّجَ هَمِّيْ،
relieve my grief,
وَتَكْشِفَ كَرْبِيْ وَغَمِّيْ،
release me from my hardship and agony,
وَتَرْحَمَنِيْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ،
have mercy upon me out of Your mercy,
وَتَرْزُقَنِيْ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
and confer on me with Your favor.
اِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَاۤءِ قَرِيبٌ مُجِيْبٌ۔
You are verily the Hearer of prayers, the Nigh, and the Responding.
Fourth: Both Shaykh al-Tusi and Sayyid ibn Tawus have recommended saying the following supplicatory prayer throughout the days of Ramadan:
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ بِاَفْضَلِهِ
O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the best of Your favors,
وَكُلُّ فَضْلِكَ فَاضِلٌ،
and all Your favors are excellent.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِفَضْلِكَ كُلِّهِ،
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your whole favor.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ بِاَعَمِّهِ
O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the most widespread of Your sustenance,
وَكُلُّ رِزْقِكَ عَامٌّ،
and all Your sustenance is widespread.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِرِزْقِكَ كُلِّهِ،
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your whole sustenance.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ عَطَآئِكَ بِاَهْنَئِهِ
O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from the most wholesome of Your bestowal,
وَكُلُّ عَطَآئِكَ هَنِيْءٌ،
and Your entire bestowal is wholesome.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِعَطَآئِكَ كُلِّهِ،
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your entire bestowal.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِكَ بِاَعْجَلِهِ
O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from Your most instant welfare,
وَكُلُّ خَيْرِكَ عَاجِلٌ،
and Your entire welfare is instant.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِخَيْرِكَ كُلِّهِ
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your entire welfare.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ اِحْسَانِكَ بِاَحْسَنِهِ
O Allah, I beseech You to grant me from You most excellent benevolence,
وَكُلُّ اِحْسَانِكَ حَسَنٌ،
and Your entire benevolence is excellent.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِاِحْسَانِكَ كُلِّهِ،
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of Your entire benevolence.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ بِمَا تُجِيْبُنِيْ بِهِ حِيْنَ اَسْاَلُكَ
O Allah, I beseech You in the name of all that through which You respond to me if I beseech You;
فَاَجِبْنِيْ يَا اَللهُ،
therefore, (please do) respond to me, O Allah.
وَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ الْمُرْتَضٰى،
And (please do) send blessings to Muhammad, Your pleased servant,
وَرَسُوْلِكَ الْمُصْطَفٰى،
chosen Messenger,
وَاَميْنِكَ وَنَجِيِّكَ دُوْنَ خَلْقِكَ
trustee, Your confidant one among all Your beings,
وَنَجِيْبِكَ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ،
selected one among all Your servants,
وَنَبِيِّكَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَحَبِيْبِكَ،
true Prophet, and Your much-loved one.
وَصَلِّ عَلٰى رَسُولِكَ وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِيْنَ،
And (please do) send blessings to (him); Your messenger, Your choicest among all people,
الْبَشِيْرِ النَّذِيْرِ
the conveyor of good tidings (for the believers), the warner,
السِّرَاجِ الْمُنِيْرِ،
and the luminous lantern;
وَعَلٰى اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الْاَبْرَارِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ،
and (please do send blessings) to his Household, the pious and the immaculate;
وَعَلٰى مَلَآئِكَتِكَ الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَخْلَصْتَهُمْ لِنَفْسِكَ،
and to Your angels whom You have attached to Yourself
وَحَجَبْتَهُمْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ،
and concealed against Your beings;
وَعَلٰى اَنْبِيَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ يُنْبِئُوْنَ عَنْكَ بِالصِّدْقِ،
and to Your Prophets who convey Your instructions truly;
وَعَلٰى رُسُلِكَ الَّذِيْنَ خَصَصْتَهُمْ بِوَحْيِكَ،
and to Your Messengers whom You have given exclusively Your Revelations
وَفَضَّلْتَهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِيْنَ بِرِسَالَاتِكَ،
and made excel the others by means of Your messages;
وَعَلٰى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ
and to Your righteous servants
الَّذِيْنَ اَدْخَلْتَهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِكَ،
whom You have included with Your mercy,
الْاَئِمَّةِ الْمُهْتَدِيْنَ الرَّاشِدِيْنَ، وَاَوْلِيَآئِكَ الْمُطَهَّرِيْنَ،
the guides, the well-guided, the orthodox, and Your pure saints;
وَعَلٰى جَبْرَئِيْلَ وَمِيْكَاۤئِيْلَ وَاِسْرَافِيْلَ وَمَلَكِ الْمَوْتِ،
and to (Archangels) Gabriel, Michael, Seraph, and the Angel of Death;
وَعَلٰى رِضْوَانَ خَازِنِ الْجِنَانِ،
and to Ridwan the Keeper of Paradise;
وَعَلٰى مَالِكِ خَازِنِ النَّارِ،
and to Malik the Keeper of Hell,
وَرُوْحِ الْقُدُسِ
and the Holy Spirit,
وَالرُّوحِ الْاَمِيْنِ،
the Spirit of Faith,
وَحَمَلَةِ عَرْشِكَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ،
and the Favorite Bearers of Your Throne;
وَعَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ الْحَافِظَيْنِ عَلَيَّ
and to the two angels who watch over me—
بِالصَّلَاةِ الَّتِيْ تُحِبُّ اَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِمْ اَهْلُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَاَهْلُ الْاَرَضِيْنَ
[bless them all with] blessings that You desire that the inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth pray You to send to them;
صَلَاةً طَيِّبَةً كَثِيْرَةً
blessings that are pure, abundant,
مُبَارَكَةً زَاكِيَةً نَامِيَةً ظَاهِرَةً
holy, genuine, growing, evident,
بَاطِنَةً شَرِيْفَةً فَاظِلَةً،
deep, honorable, and virtuous
تُبَيِّنُ بِهَا فَضْلَهُمْ عَلَى الْاَوَّلِيْنَ وَالْاٰخِرِيْنَ،
through which You obviously demonstrate their precedence over the past and the coming generations.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اعْطِ مُحَمَّدًا نِ الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالشَّرَفَ وَالْفَضِيْلَةَ
O Allah, (please do) give Muhammad subtle way, honor, and precedence,
وَاجْزِهِ خَيْرَ مَا جَزَيْتَ نَبِيًّا عَنْ اُمَّتِهِ،
and reward him with the best reward that You ever give to a Prophet on behalf of his nation.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاَعْطِ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ مَعَ كُلِّ زُلْفَةٍ زُلْفَةً،
O Allah, (please do) give Muhammad— peace of Allah be upon him and his Household—an additional proximity witheach proximity that You decide for him;
وَمَعَ كُلِّ وَسِيْلَةٍ وَسِيْلَةً،
and an additional subtle means witheach means that You decide for him;
وَمَعَ كُلِّ فَضِيْلَةٍ فَضِيْلَةً،
and an additional merit witheach merit that You decide for him;
وَمَعَ كُلِّ شَرَفٍ شَرَفًا
and an additional honor witheach honor that You decide for him.
تُعْطِيْ مُحَمَّدًا وَاٰلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ اَفْضَلَ مَا اَعْطَيْتَ اَحَدًا مِنَ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ والْاٰخِرِيْنَ،
And (please do) give Muhammad and his Household, on the Resurrection Day, the best of all that which You have given to any of Your creatures from the past and the coming generations.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاجْعَلْ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ اَدْنَى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ مِنْكَ مَجْلِسًا،
O Allah, (please do) choose for Muhammad—peace of Allah be upon him and his Household— the nearest position to You,
وَاَفْسَحَهُمْ فِى الْجَنَّةِ عِنْدَكَ مَنْزِلًا،
the most expansive abode in Paradise in Your vicinity,
وَاَقْرَبَهُمْ اِلَيْكَ وَسِيْلَةً،
and the most effective means to You.
وَاجْعَلْهُ اَوَّلَ شَافِعٍ،
And (please do) make him the chief interceder,
وَاَوَّلَ مُشَفَّعٍ،
the chief mediator,
وَاَوَّلَ قَاۤئِلٍ،
the first speaker,
وَاَنْجَحَ سَاۤئِلٍ،
and the most successful petitioner.
وَابْعَثْهُ الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُوْدَ الَّذِيْ يَغْبِطُهُ بِهِ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ وَالْاٰخِرُوْنَ
And (please do) send him the Praiseworthy Standing due to which all the past and coming generations will envy him.
يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ،
O most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
وَاَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
I beseech You to bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
وَاَنْ تَسْمَعَ صَوْتِيْ
to hear my voice,
وَتُجِيْبَ دَعْوَتِيْ،
to respond to my plea,
وَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْ خَطِيْئَتِيْ،
to overlook my sins,
وَتَصْفَحَ عَنْ ظُلْمِيْ،
to excuse my wrongdoings,
وَتُنْجِحَ طَلِبَتِيْ،
to give success to my request,
وَتَقْضِيَ حَاجَتِيْ،
to grant my needs,
وَتُنْجِزَ لِي مَا وَعَدْتَنِيْ،
to fulfill Your promise to me,
وَتُقِيْلَ عَثْرَتِيْ،
to let off my offense,
وَتَغْفِرَ ذُنُوْبِيْ،
to forgive my sins,
وَتَعْفُوَ عَنْ جُرْمِيْ،
to pardon my evildoings,
وَتُقْبِلَ عَلَيَّ وَلَاتُعْرِضَ عَنِّي،
to accept me and not to reject me,
وَتَرْحَمَنِيْ وَلَا تُعَذِّبَنِيْ
to have mercy upon me and not to punish me,
وَتُعَافِيَنِيْ وَلَا تَبْتَلِيَنِيْ،
to grant me good health and not to afflict me,
وَتَرْزُقَنِيْ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ اَطْيَبَهُ وَاَوْسَعَهُ وَلَا تَحْرِمْنِيْ
and to grant me from the nicest and most extensive sustenance and not to deprive me (of Your sustenance).
يَا رَبِّ وَاقْضِ عَنِّي دَيْنِيْ،
O my Lord, (please do) help me settle my debts,
وَضَعْ عَنِّي وِزْرِيْ،
relieve me of my burdens,
وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنِيْ مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لِيْ بِهِ،
and do not impose on me that which I have not the strength to bear.
يَامَوْلَايَ اَدْخِلْنِيْ فِيْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ اَدْخَلْتَ فِيْهِ مُحَمَّدًا وَاٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ،
O my Master, (please do) include me withevery good item with which You have included Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
وَاَخْرِجْنِيْ مِنْ كُلِّ سُوٓءٍ اَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا وَاٰلَ مُحَمَّدٍ،
and take me out of any evil from which You have taken out Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ،
Your blessings be upon him and them.
وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ۔
Peace, Allah’s mercy, and blessings be upon him and them.
You may then repeat the following words times:
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَدْعُوكَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَنِيْ
O Allah, I am praying You as You have ordered me to do;
فَاسْتَجِبْ لِيْ كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِيْ۔
so, please respond to me as You have promised.
You may then continue as follows:
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ قَلِيْلًا مِنْ كَثِيْرٍ
O Allah, I ask You for a little from the very much
مَعَ حَاجَةٍ بِيْ اِلَيْهِ عَظِيْمَةٍ،
in the midst of my many needs for which I entirely depend on You,
وَغِنَاكَ عَنْهُ قَدِيْمٌ،
and You, since eternity, are able to do without them,
وَهُوَ عِنْدِيْ كَثِيْرٌ،
but for me, it is titanic,
وَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسِيْرٌ،
and for You, it is very easy and simple.
فَامْنُنْ عَلَيَّ بِهِ اِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ،
So, (please do) bestow upon me with them, for You have power over all things.
اٰمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ۔
Respond to me, O Lord of the worlds!.
Fifth: It is recommended to say the supplicatory prayer that begins with:
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَدْعُوْكَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَنِيْ فَاسْتَجِبْ لِيْ كَمَا وَعَدْتَنِيْ۔۔۔
O Allah, I am praying You as You have ordered me to do; so, please respond to me as You have promised...
Because of its lengthiness, this supplicatory prayer will not be mentioned herein. However, the gentle readers are advised to refer to the books of Iqbal al-A’mal or Zad al-Ma’ad to find it.
Sixth: In al-Muqni’ah, Shaykh al-Mufid has narrated on the authority of the trustworthy master scholar, Ali ibn Mahziyar, that Imam Muhammad al-Naqi(a.s.) said that it is recommended to say the following supplicatory prayer as many times as possible during the month of Ramadan on days and at nights from the beginning of the month to its end:
يَا ذَا الَّذِيْ كَانَ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ،
O He Who has existed before all things,
ثُمَّ خَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ،
then created all things,
ثُمَّ يَبْقٰى وَيَفْنٰى كُلُّ شَيْءٍ،
and then stays while all things vanish!
يَا ذَا الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ،
O He Whose like is not found at all!
وَيَا ذَا الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ الْعُلٰى،
O He neither in the highest heavens
وَلَا فِى الْاَرَضِيْنَ الْسُفْلٰى،
nor in the lowest layers of the earth,
وَلَا فَوْقَهُنَّ وَلَا تَحْتَهُنَّ،
nor above them, nor beneath them,
وَلَا بَيْنَهُنَّ اِلـٰهٌ يُعْبَدُ غَيْرُهُ
nor there is between them any god that is worshipped save Him.
لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا لَا يَقْوٰى عَلٰى اِحْصَآئِهِ اِلَّا اَنْتَ،
To You be the praise that none can count save You.
فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمِّدٍ
So, please bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad
صَلَاةً لَا يَقْوٰى عَلٰى اِحْصَآئِهَا اِلَّا اَنْتَ۔
with blessings that none can count save You.
Seventh: Al-Kaf’ami, in al-Balad al-Amin and al-Misbah, has quoted from Kitab al-Ikhtiyar of Sayyid Ibn Baqi that if one says the following supplicatory prayer everyday in Ramadan, Almighty Allah will forgive the sins he has committed for forty years:
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ
O Allah, the Lord of the month of Ramadan
الَّذِيْ اَنْزَلْتَ فِيْهِ الْقُرْاٰنَ،
in which You revealed the Qur'an
وَافْتَرَضْتَ عَلٰى عِبَادِكَ فِيْهِ الصِّيَامَ،
and imposed fasting on Your servants!
ارْزُقْنِيْ حَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ
(Please) grant me opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Your Holy House,
فِي هٰذَا الْعَامِ وَفِي كُلِّ عَامٍ،
in this year and every year,
وَاغْفِرْ لِيَ الذُّنُوْبَ الْعِظَامَ
and forgive my serious sins,
فَاِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُهَا غَيْرُكَ
for none can forgive them save You,
يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ۔
O Lord of majesty and honor.
Eighth: It is recommended to repeat the following doxology (zikr) one hundred times every day in Ramadan, as is mentioned by al-Fayd al-Kashani in Khulasat al-Adhkar.
سُبْحَانَ الضَّارِّ النَّافِعِ،
Glory be to Him Who can expose anyone to loss or to gain.
سُبْحَانَ الْقَاضِيْ بِالْحَقِّ،
Glory be to the Judge with truth.
سُبْحَانَ الْعَلِيِّ الْاَعْلٰى،
Glory be to the Most High, the All-high.
سُبْحَانَهُ وَبِحَمْدِهِ،
Glory be to Him and to glorify Him is one of His graces.
سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالٰى۔
Glory be to Him and most Exalted be He.
Ninth: In his book of al-Muqni’ah, Shaykh al-Mufid has mentioned that one of the most advisable rites in Ramadan is to invoke Almighty Allah’s blessings upon the Holy Prophet at least one hundred times a day; and the more the better.
