TEN DUAS FOR FUFILLMENT OF PETITIONS (REQUESTS)
Sixteenth: Muhammad ibn Harith al-Nawfali, the servant of Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (‘a), has reported that when al-Ma’mun, the ‘Abbasid ruler, decided to give his daughter in marriage to Imam Muhammad ibn ‘Ali (‘a), the Imam (‘a) wrote to him this message:
Every wife must be given a dowry from the property of her husband. As for us, Almighty Allah has put off our properties to give them to us in the Hereafter just as He has given you your properties in advance in this worldly life. I thus decide to dower your daughter with “the means to the response to the petitions.” A number of confidential prayers, my father has given me these supplicatory means and said that he received them from his father Musa, who told that he had received them from his father Ja’far, who told that he had received them from his father Muhammad, who told that he had received them from his father ‘Ali, who told that he had received them from his father al-Husayn, who told that he had received them from his brother al-Hasan, who told that he had received them from his father ‘Ali ibn Abi-Talib, who told that he had received them from the Holy Prophet Muhammad, who told that he had received them from Archangel Gabriel who said, “Muhammad, the Almighty Lord conveys His greetings to you and says that He is carrying to You the keys to the treasures of this world and the Next World. He thus advises you to use them as the means to the response to your petitions. Through these confidential prayers, you can attain your desires and succeed in winning your requests. Therefore, do not use them in this-worldly requests rather than the other worldly requests; lest, you will lessen the value of your other worldly prizes. These means are ten supplicatory prayers by which you can knock on the doors of your desires and they will be opened before you, and you can ask for things, and you will be given access to them.” These confidential prayers (Munajaat) are as follows:
MUNAJAAT FOR GUIDANCE (TO THE BEST)
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ خِيَرَتَكَ فِيْمَا اسْتَخَرْتُكَ فِيْهِ
O Allah, my prayer for guidance from You with regard to the matter about which I have asked You to guide me
تُنِيْلُ الرَّغَاۤئِبَ وَ تُجْزِلُ الْمَوَاهِبَ
does make all desires accessible, grant abundant gifts,
وَ تُغْنِمُ الْمَطَالِبَ وَتُطَيِّبُ الْمَكَاسِبَ
make win the requests, make easy the gains,
وَ تَهْدِىْۤ اِلٰۤى اَجْمَلِ الْمَذَاهِبِ
guide to the most excellent way,
وَ تَسُوْقُ اِلٰۤى اَحْمَدِ الْعَوَاقِبِ
drive to the most praiseworthy consequences,
وَتَقِىْ مَخُوْفَ النَّوَاۤئِبِ
and guard from the dreadful calamities.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْۤ اَسْتَخِيْرُكَ فِيْمَا عَزَمَ رَاْيِىْ عَلَيْهِ
O Allah, I pray You for guiding me to the best choice with regard to what I am determined to do
وَ قَادَنِىْ عَقْلِىْ اِلَيْهِ
to which my reason has directed me.
وَ سَهِّلِ اللّٰهُمَّ فِيْهِ مَا تَوَعَّرَ
O Allah, (please) smooth its progress to me,
وَ يَسِّرْ مِنْهُ مَا تَعَسَّرَ
make easy its difficulty,
وَاكْفِنِىْ فِيْهِ الْمُهِمَّ
save me from what concerns me,
وَادْفَعْ بِهِ عَنِّىْ كُلَّ مُلِمٍّ
repel from me what is terrible,
وَاجْعَلْ يَا رَبِّ عَوَاقِبَهُ غُنْمًا
and, O Lord, change its bad consequences into good end results,
وَ مَخُوْفَهُ سِلْمًا
its dreadful parts into safety,
وَ بُعْدَهُ قُرْبًا
its unlikely gains into possible,
وَجَدْبَهُ خِصْبًا
and its barrenness into fertility.
وَ اَرْسِلِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِجَابَتِىْ
O Allah, release Your response to me,
وَاَنْجِحْ طَلِبَتِىْ
make successful my appeal,
وَاقْضِ حَاجَتِىْ
grant me my need,
وَاقْطَعْ عَنِّىْ عَوَاۤئِقَهَا
cut off whatever hinders it,
وَامْنَعْ عَنِّىْ بَوَاۤئِقَهَا
and stop its misfortunes.
وَاَعْطِنِىْ اللّٰهُمَّ لِوَاۤءَ الظَّفَرِ
O Allah, give me the pennon of triumph,
وَالْخِيَرَةَ فِيْمَا اسْتَخَرْتُكَ
the true guidance to the best of what I have asked You for,
وَ وُفُوْرَ الْمَغْنَمِ فِيْمَا دَعَوْتُكَ
the abundant gain of what I have prayed You for,
وَ عَوَاۤئِدَ الْاِفْضَالِ فِيْمَا رَجَوْتُكَ
and the bestowals of favors in what I have hoped You for.
وَاقْرِنْهُ اللّٰهُمَّ بِالنَّجَاحِ
O Allah, attach all that to success,
وَ خُصَّهُ بِالصَّلَاحِ
adorn it exclusively with righteousness,
وَاَرِنِىْۤ اَسْبَابَ الْخِيَرَةِ فِيْهِ وَاضِحَةً
make clear before my eyes the reasons for guiding me to this choice
وَاَعْلَامَ غُنْمِهَا لَاۤئِحَةً
and the factors of winning it,
وَاشْدُدْ خِنَاقَ تَعْسِيْرِهَا
tighten the grip around the throat of its difficulties,
وَانْعَشْ صَرِيْعَ تَيْسِيْرِهَا
and refresh its dying easiness.
وَ بَيِّنِ اللّٰهُمَّ مُلْتَبَسَهَا
O Allah, acquaint me with its confusable matters,
وَاَطْلِقْ مُحْتَبَسَهَا
release its detained affairs,
وَ مَكِّنْ اُسَّهَا
and make firm its foundations
حَتّٰى تَكُوْنَ خِيَرَةً مُقْبِلَةً بِالْغُنْمِ
so that it will come carrying gains,
مُزِيْلَةً لِلْغُرْمِ
removing debts,
عَاجِلَةً لِلنَّفْعِ
bringing about swift benefits,
بَاقِيَةَ الصُّنْعِ
and perpetuating its effect.
اِنَّكَ مَلِیْۤءٌ بِالْمَزِيْدِ
Verily, You always have more to give
مُبْتَدِءٌ بِالْجُوْدِ
and take the initiative to magnanimous conferrals.
MUNAJAAT FOR TRUE REPENTANCE
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ الرَّجَاۤءَ لِسَعَةِ رَحْمَتِكَ
O Allah, it is my hope for Your expansive mercy
اَنْطَقَنِىْ بِاسْتِقَالَتِكَ
that has motivated me to ask for accepting my true repentance,
وَالْاَمَلَ لِاَنَاتِكَ وَ رِفْقِكَ
and it is my hope for Your forbearance and leniency
شَجَّعَنِىْ عَلٰى طَلَبِ اَمَانِكَ
that has encouraged me to beg Your security and pardon.
وَ عَفْوِكَ وَلِىْ يَا رَبِّ ذُنُوْبٌ
O my Lord, I have committed sins,
قَدْ وَاجَهَتْهَاۤ اَوْجُهُ الْاِنْتِقَامِ
which are worthy of encountering Your punishment,
وَ خَطَايَا قَدْ لَاحَظَتْهَاۤ اَعْيُنُ الْاِصْطِلَامِ
and [I have committed] wrongdoings, which have been observed by the eyes of eradication
وَاسْتَوْجَبْتُ بِهَا عَلٰى عَدْلِكَ اَلِيْمَ الْعَذَابِ
and due to which, I deserve Your painful chastisement despite of Your justice,
وَاسْتَحْقَقْتُ بِاجْتِرَاحِهَا مُبِيْرَ الْعِقَابِ
and because I have committed these wrongdoings, I earn Your annihilating punishment.
وَ خِفْتُ تَعْوِيْقَهَا لِاِجَابَتِىْ
I am thus afraid that these wrongdoings will obstruct You from responding to me
وَ رَدَّهَاۤ اِيَّاىَ عَنْ قَضَاۤءِ حَاجَتِىْ
and will make You refuse to grant me my requests,
بِاِبْطَالِهَا لِطَلِبَتِىْ
since they are violative enough to abolish my petition
وَ قَطْعَهَا لِاَسْبَابِ رَغْبَتِىْ
and to cut off the factors of achieving my desires,
مِنْ اَجْلِ مَا قَدْ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرِىْ مِنْ ثِقْلِهَا
because their overburdens have pressed heavily upon my back
وَ بَهَظَنِىْ مِنَ الْاِسْتِقْلَالِ بِحَمْلِهَا
and their loads have been too heavy for me to burden.
ثُمَّ تَرَاجَعْتُ رَبِّ اِلٰى حِلْمِكَ عَنِ الْخَاطِئِيْنَ
But when I recalled Your forbearance, O my Lord, with the wrongdoers,
وَ عَفْوِكَ عَنِ الْمُذْنِبِيْنَ
Your forgiveness to the sinful,
وَ رَحْمَتِكَ لِلْعَاصِيْنَ
and Your mercy to the disobedient,
فَاَقْبَلْتُ بِثِقَتِىْ مُتَوَكِّلًا عَلَيْكَ
I, carrying my trust in You and relying on You, came towards You,
طَارِحًا نَفْسِىْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
throwing myself in Your Presence,
شَاكِيًا بَثِّىْ اِلَيْكَ
complaining about my grief to You,
سَاۤئِلًا مَالَاۤ اَسْتَوْجِبُهُ مِنْ تَفْرِيْجِ الْهَمِّ
praying You, O my Lord, for what I do not deserve from You; that is relief from my distress,
وَلَاۤ اَسْتَحِقُّهُ مِنْ تَنْفِيْسِ الْغَمِّ
and for what I do not earn from You; that is alleviation of my anguish,
مُسْتَقِيْلًا لَكَ اِيَّاىَ
declaring my true repentance before You, O my Lord,
وَاثِقًا مَوْلَاىَ بِكَ،
and putting my trust in You, O my Master.
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَامْنُنْ عَلَىَّ بِالْفَرَجِ
O Allah, so (please) bestow upon me with relief from You,
وَ تَطَوَّلْ بِسُهُوْلَةِ الْمَخْرَجِ وَادْلُلْنِىْ
confer upon me with creating for me an easy way out,
بِرَاْفَتِكَ عَلٰى سَمْتِ الْمَنْهَجِ
lead me, out of Your clemency, to the straightest path,
وَ اَزْلِقْنِىْ بِقُدْرَتِكَ عَنِ الطَّرَيْقِ الْاَعْوَجِ
make me, out of Your omnipotence, deviate from the crooked path,
وَ خَلِّصْنِىْ مِنْ سِجْنِ الْكَرْبِ بِاِقَالَتِكَ
release me, out of Your acceptance of my true repentance, from the prison of ordeals,
وَاَطْلِقْ اَسْرِىْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
set me free from my capture, out of Your mercy,
وَ طُلْ عَلَىَّ بِرِضْوَانِكَ
donate me with favors, out of Your pleasure,
وَجُدْ عَلَىَّ بِاِحْسَانِكَ
give me generously, out of Your benevolence,
وَاَقِلْنِىْ عَثْرَتِىْ
steady me, O my Lord, from my slip,
وَ فَرِّجْ كُرْبَتِىْ
relieve me from my agony,
وَارْحَمْ عَبْرَتِىْ
have mercy upon my sobbing,
وَلَاتَحْجُبْ دَعْوَتِىْ
do not make my prayer inaccessible,
وَ اشْدُدْ بِالْاِقَالَةِ اَزْرِىْ
and by accepting my repentance, (please) strengthen my back,
وَ قَوِّبِهَا ظَهْرِىْ
confirm my strength,
وَ اَصْلِحْ بِهَاۤ اَمْرِىْ
set aright all my affairs,
وَ اَطِلْ بِهَا عُمْرِىْ
grant me long lifetime,
وَارْحَمْنِىْ يَوْمَ حَشْرِىْ وَ وَقْتَ نَشْرِىْۤ
and have mercy upon me on the day of my resurrecting and the time of my restoring to life.
اِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيْمٌ
Verily, You are all-magnanimous, all-generous,
غَفُوْرٌ رَحِيْمٌ۔
all-forgiving, and all-merciful.
وَ صَلِّى عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ
And (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household.
MUNAJAAT FOR HELP IN TRAVEL
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْۤ اُرِيْدُ سَفَرًا
O Allah, I intend to travel;
فَخِرْلِىْ فِيْهِ
so, choose for me the best in my journey,
وَاَوْضِحْ لِىْ فِيْهِ سَبَيْلَ الرَّاْىِ وَ فَهِّمْنِيْهِ
make clear before me and inspire to me the right understanding of the most accurate attitude,
وَافْتَحْ لِىْ عَزْمِىْ بِالْاِسْتِقَامَةِ
release my determination by means of straightforwardness,
وَاشْمُلْنِىْ فِىْ سَفَرِىْ بِالسَّلَامَةِ
include me with safety during my journey,
وَاَفِدْنِىْ جَزِيْلَ الْحَظِّ وَالْكَرَامَةِ
furnish me with abundant fortune and honor,
وَ اكْلَانِىْ بِحُسْنِ الْحِفْظِ وَالْحَرَاسَةِ
and preserve me with the excellent safeguard and watching.
وَ جَنِّبْنِى اللّٰهُمَّ وَ عْثَاۤءَ الْاَسْفَارِ
O Allah, send away from me the inconvenience of journeys,
وَ سَهِّلْ لِىْ حُزُوْنَةَ الْاَوْعَارِ
make easy for me the difficulty of roughness,
وَاطْوِلِىْ بِسَاطَ الْمَرَاحِلِ
unwrap before me the rug of covering the stations,
وَ قَرِّبْ مِنِّىْ بُعْدَ نَاْىِ الْمَنَاهِلِ
bring nearer to me the remote watering places,
وَ بَاعِدْ فِى الْمَسِيْرِ بَيْنَ خُطَى الرَّوَاحِلِ
and make spaces to be longer between the steps of our riding animals,
حَتّٰى تُقَرِّبَ نِيَاطَ الْبَعِيْدِ
so that the remote distances will be nearby
وَ تُسَهِّلَ وُ عُوْرَ الشَّدِيْدِ
and the rough roads will be smooth.
وَلَقِّنِى اللّٰهُمَّ فِىْ سَفَرِىْ نُجْحَ طَاۤئِرِ الْوَاقِيَةِ
O Allah, make me find in this journey success over evil omens,
وَهَبْنِىْ فِيْهِ غُنْمَ الْعَافِيَةِ
endue me with achievement of wellbeing,
وَ خَفِيْرَ الْاِسْتِقْلَالِ
safeguard against failure,
وَ دَلِيْلَ مُجَاوَزَةِ الْاَهْوَالِ
guidance to survive dangers,
وَ بَاعِثَ وُفُوْرِ الْكِفَايَةِ
incentives to gain adequacy,
وَ سَانِحَ خَفِيْرِ الْوِلَايَةِ
and good opportunity to be protected against authorities.
وَاجْعَلْهُ اللّٰهُمَّ سَبَبَ عَظِيْمِ السِّلْمِ
O Allah, cause my journey to be a reason for winning marvelous security
حَاصِلَ الْغُنْمِ
and obtaining profits.
وَاجْعَلِ اللَّيْلَ عَلَىَّ سِتْرًا مِنَ الْاٰفَاتِ
Make night cover me against banes
وَالنَّهَارَ مَانِعًا مِنَ الْهَلَكَاتِ
and daytime defend me against perishing things.
وَاقْطَعْ عَنِّىْ قِطَعَ لُصُوْصِهِ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
Out of Your omnipotence, (please) hold back the robbers from reaching me
وَاحْرُسْنِىْ مِنْ وُحُوْشِهِ بِقُوَّتِكَ
and, out of Your power, guard me against the beasts
حَتّٰى تَكُوْنَ السَّلَامَةُ فِيْهِ مُصَاحِبَتِىْ
so that safety will accompany me in my journey,
وَالْعَافِيَةُ فِيْهِ مُقَارِنَتِىْ
wellbeing will attend me,
وَ الْيُمْنُ سَاۤئِقِىْ
good omen will be driven along with me,
وَ الْيُسْرُ مُعَانِقِىْ
easiness will embrace me,
وَ الْعُسْرُ مُفَارِقِىْ
difficulty will depart me,
وَ الْفَوْزُ مُوَافِقِىْ
triumph will agree with me,
وَالْاَمْنُ مُرَافِقِىْ
and security will associate with me.
اِنَّكَ ذُوْالطَّوْلِ وَ الْمَنِّ
Verily, You are the Lord of bestowals, conferrals,
وَالْقُوَّةِ وَ الْحَوْلِ
power, and might,
وَ اَنْتَ عَلٰى كُلِّشَىْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ
and You have power over all things
وَ بِعِبَادِكَ بَصِيْرٌ خَبِيْرٌ
and You know and regard all of Your servants.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَرْسِلْ عَلَىَّ سِجَالَ رِزْقِكَ مِدْرَارًا
O Allah, send forth on me the bails of Your sustenance in abundance,
وَاَمْطِرْ عَلَىَّ سَحَاۤئِبَ اِفْضَالِكَ غِزَارًا
make the clouds of Your favoring rain on me heavily,
وَ اَدِمْ غَيْثَ نَيْلِكَ اِلَىَّ سِجَالًا
keep continuous the drizzle of Your gifts to me plenteously,
وَاَسْبِلْ مَزِيْدَ نِعَمِكَ عَلٰى خَلَّتِىْۤ اِسْبَالًا
let the superfluity of Your graces to me fall on my neediness increasingly,
وَاَفْقِرْنِىْ بِجُوْدِكَ اِلَيْكَ
make me in ceaseless need for Your magnanimity,
وَ اَغْنِنِىْ عَمَّنْ يَطْلُبُ مَالَدَيْكَ
make me dispense with those who are in want for what is possessed by You,
وَ دَاوِدَاۤءَ فَقْرِىْ بِدَوَاۤءِ فَضْلِكَ
medicate the malady of my poverty with the remedy of Your favors,
وَانْعَشْ صَرْعَةَ عَيْلَتِىْ بِطَوْلِكَ
refresh my dead dearth with Your conferrals,
وَ تَصَدَّقْ عَلٰۤى اِقْلَالِىْ بِكَثْرَةِ عَطَاۤئِكَ
give as alms to my scarcity Your profuse gifts,
وَ عَلَى اخْتِلَالِىْ بِكَرِيْمِ حِبَاۤئِكَ
and give to my shortage Yonr generous grants.
وَ سَهِّلْ رَبِّ سَبِيْلَ الرِّزْقِ اِلَىَّ
O my Lord, pave the way of sustenance towards me,
وَ ثَبِّتْ قَوَاعِدَهُ لَدَىَّ
strengthen its foundations with me,
وَ بَجِّسْ لِىْ عُيُوْنَ سَعَتِهِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
make the fountains of Your expansive mercy to gush out for me,
وَ فَجِّرْ اَنْهَارَ رَغَدِ الْعَيْشِ قِبَلِىْ بِرَاْفَتِكَ
make the rivers of opulent living to flow before me, out of Your clemency,
وَاَجْدِبْ اَرْضَ فَقْرِىْ
cause the land of my poverty to be barren,
وَاَخْصِبْ جَدْبَ ضُرِّىْ
fertilize my barren harsh paucity,
وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّىْ فِى الرِّزْقِ الْعَوَاۤئِقَ
hold off all obstacles against gaining my sustenance,
وَاقْطَعْ عَنِّىْ مِنَ الضَّيْقِ الْعَلَاۤئِقَ
and cut off any relationship between destitution and me.
وَارْمِنِىْ مِنْ سَعَةِ الرِّزْقِ اللّٰهُمَّ بِاَخْصَبِ سِهَامِهِ
O Allah, target at me the most productive arrows of opulent sustenance
وَاحْبُنِىْ مِنْ رَغَدِ الْعَيْشِ بِاَكْثَرِ دَوَامِهِ
and endow me with the most perpetual affluent living.
وَاكْسُنِىْ اللّٰهُمَّ سَرَابِيْلَ السَّعَةِ وَ جَلَابِيْبَ الدَّعَةِ
O Allah, equip me with the shirts of opulence and garments of comfort,
فَاِنِّىْ يَا رَبِّ مُنْتَظِرٌ لِاِنْعَامِكَ بِحَذْفِ الضَّيْقِ
for, O my Lord, I expect You to do me the favor of removing my distress,
وَلِتَطَوُّلِكَ بِقَطْعِ التَّعْوِيْقِ،
to bestow upon me with the grace of cutting off the impediment,
وَ لِتَفَضُّلِكَ بِاِزَالَةِ التَّقْتِيْرِ
to endue me with the errand of eliminating my impoverishment,
وَ لِوُصُوْلِ حَبْلِىْ بِكَرَمِكَ بِالتَّيْسِيْرِ
and to confer upon me with connecting my cord to Your generosity through facilitation of my affairs.
وَ اَمْطِرِ اللّٰهُمَّ عَلَىَّ سَمَاۤءَ رِزْقِكَ بِسِجَالِ الدِّيَمِ
O Allah, make the sky of Your sustenance shower me with large quantities of the water of Your heavy clouds,
وَاَغْنِنِىْ عَنْ خَلْقِكَ بِعَوَاۤئِدِ النِّعَمِ
make me too rich to need Your creatures through Your repetitive conferrals of favors,
وَارْمِ مَقَاتِلَ الْاِقْتَارِ مِنِّىْ
throw deadly shots at the vulnerable spots of my financial deprivation,
وَاحْمِلْ كَشْفَ الضُّرِّ عَنِّىْ
carry the ridding of my misfortune on behalf of me
عَلٰى مَطَايَا الْاِعْجَالِ
on the quickest riding animals,
وَاضْرِبْ عَنِّىْ الضَّيْقَ بِسَيْفِ الْاِسْتِيْصَالِ
and strike my distress, on behalf of me, with the exterminating sword.
وَاَتْحِفْنِىْ رَبِّ مِنْكَ بِسِعَةِ الْاِفْضَالِ
O my Lord, present me withexpansive favoring,
وَامْدُدْنِىْ بِنُمُوِّ الْاَمْوَالِ
supply me withevergrowing properties,
وَاحْرُسْنِىْ مِنْ ضِيْقِ الْاِقْلَالِ
safeguard me against the distress of paucity,
وَاقْبِضْ عَنِّىْ سُوْۤءَ الْجَدْبِ
grasp against me the evil of aridity,
وَابْسُطْ لِىْ بِسَاطَ الْخِصْبِ
extend before me the carpet of fruitfulness,
وَ اسْقِنِىْ مِنْ مَاۤءِ رِزْقِكَ غَدَقًا
serve me with copious dosages of the water of Your sustenance,
وَ انْهَجْ لِىْ مِنْ عَمِيْمِ بَذْلِكَ طُرُقًا
pave before me many paths of Your massive abdications,
وَ فَاجِئْنِىْ بِالثَّرْوَةِ وَالْمَالِ
surprise me with wealth and money
وَانْعَشْنِىْ بِهِ مِنَ الْاِقْلَالِ
through which You may refresh me from scarcity,
وَ صَبِّحْنِىْ بِالْاِسْتِظْهَارِ
start my mornings with solvency,
وَ مَسِّنِىْ بِالتَّمَكُّنِ مِنَ الْيَسَارِ
and start my evenings with ability to meet my liabilities.
اِنَّكَ ذُوْ الطَّوْلِ الْعَظِيْمِ
Verily, You are the Lord of great bestowal,
وَالْفَضْلِ الْعَمِيْمِ
massive favoring,
وَالْمَنِّ الْجَسِيْمِ
and plentiful conferral,
وَ اَنْتَ الْجَوَادُ الْكَرِيْمُ۔
and You are the All-magnanimous and All-generous.
MUNAJAAT FOR SEEKING PROTECTION
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ مُلِمَّاتِ نَوَازِلِ الْبَلَاۤءِ
O Allah, I pray Your protection against the striking mishaps of tribulation
وَاَهْوَالِ عَظَاۤئِمِ الضَّرَّاۤءِ
and the horrors of the unbearable adversities.
فَاَعِذْنِىْ رَبِّ مِنْ صَرْعَةِ الْبَاْسَاۤءِ
So, O my Lord, protect me against the blows of affliction,
وَ احْجُبْنِىْ مِنْ سَطَوَاتِ الْبَلَاۤءِ
veil me from the sways of ordeals,
وَ نَجِنِّىْ مِنْ مُفَاجَاةِ النِّقَمِ
save me from the surprising punishments,
وَاَجِرْنِىْ مِنْ زَوَالِ النِّعَمِ
and shelter me against the removal of blessings
وَ مِنْ زَلَلِ الْقَدَمِ
and the slipping of steps.
وَاجْعَلْنِىْ اللّٰهُمَّ فِىْ حِيَاطَةِ عِزِّكَ
O Allah, make me inside the fence of Your almightiness
وَ حِفَاظِ حِرْزِكَ
and the barrier of Your haven
مِنْ مُبَاغَتَةِ الدَّوَاۤئِرِ
against unexpected overtaking of calamities
وَ مُعَاجَلَةِ الْبَوَادِرِ
and against the swift sudden misfortunes.
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبِّ وَ اَرْضَ الْبَلَاۤءِ فَاخْسِفْهَا
O Allah; O my Lord, (please) cause the lands of ordeals to sink down,
وَعَرْصَةَ الْمِحَنِ فَارْجُفْهَا
cause the yards of crises to quake,
وَ شَمْسَ النَّوَاۤئِبِ فَاكْسِفْهَا
cast a shadow on the sun of misfortunes,
وَ جِبَالَ السُّوْۤءِ فَانْسِفْهَا
uproot the mountains of evil,
وَ كُرَبَ الدَّهْرِ فَاكْشِفْهَا،
remove the vicissitudes of times,
وَ عَوَاۤئِقَ الْاُمُوْرِ فَاصْرِفْهَا
and drive back the obstacles in all affairs.
وَ اَوْرِدْنِىْ حِيَاضَ السَّلَامَةِ
(Please) take me to the ponds of safety,
وَاحْمِلْنِىْ عَلٰى مَطَايَا الْكَرَامَةِ
carry me on the riding animals of honor,
وَاصْحَبْنِىْ بِاِقَالَةِ الْعَثْرَةِ
make Your excuse of my slips to be my companion,
وَاشْمَلْنِىْ بِسَتْرِ الْعَوْرَةِ
and include me with Your covering of my defects.
وَ جُدْ عَلَىَّ يَا رَبِّ بِاٰلَاۤئِكَ
O my Lord, grant me liberally Your elegances,
وَ كَشْفِ بَلَاۤئِكَ
Your removal of my tribulations,
وَ دَفْعِ ضَرَّاۤئِكَ
and Your fending off of my adversities.
وَادْفَعْ عَنِّىْ كَلَاكِلَ عَذَابِكَ
(Please) ward off from me the thoraxes of Your chastisement,
وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّىْۤ اَلِيْمَ عِقَابِكَ
repel from me Your painful punishment,
وَاَعِذْنِىْ مِنْ بَوَاۤئِقِ الدُّهُوْرِ
safeguard me from the ups and downs of days,
وَاَنْقِذْنِىْ مِنْ سُوْۤءِ عَوَاقِبِ الْاُمُوْرِ
rescue me from the evil end results of affairs,
وَاحْرُسْنِىْ مِنْ جَمِيْعِ الْمَحْذُوْرِ
guard me against all anticipated matters,
وَاصْدَعْ صَفَاةَ الْبَلَاۤءِ عَنْ اَمْرِىْ
split the rock of tribulation in my affairs,
وَاشْلُلْ يَدَهُ عَنِّىْ مَدٰى عُمْرِىْ
and paralyze its hand lest it reaches me as long as I am alive.
اِنَّكَ الرَّبُّ الْمَجِيْدُ
Verily, You are the All-glorious lord
الْمُبْدِئُ الْمُعِيْدُ
Who originates, reproduces,
الْفَعَّالُ لِمَا تُرِيْدُ۔
and does whatever He wants.
MUNAJAAT FOR ACCEPTANCE OF REPENTANCE
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّىْ قَصَدْتُ اِلَيْكَ بِاِخْلَاصِ تَوْبَةِ نَصُوْحٍ
O Allah, I have come to You with the integrity of a sincere repentance,
وَ تَثْبِيْتِ عَقْدٍ صَحِيْحٍ
the confirmation of a valid determination,
وَ دُعَاۤءِ قَلْبٍ قَرِيْحٍ
the prayer of a limpid heart,
وَ اِعْلَانِ قَوْلٍ صَرِيْحٍ
and the declaration of a clear-cut statement.
اَللّٰهُمَّ فَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّىْ مُخْلَصَ التَّوْبَةِ
So, O Allah, accept from me the sincere repentance of me,
وَ اِقْبَالَ سَرِيْعِ الْاَوْبَةِ
the approaching of my swift turning to You,
وَ مَصَارِعَ تَخَشُّعِ الْحَوْبَةِ
and the deadly blows of my fear of Your punishment.
وَ قَابِلْ رَبِّ تَوْبَتِىْ بِجَزِيْلِ الثَّوَابِ
O my Lord, meet my repentance with abundant reward,
وَ كَرِيْمِ الْمَاٰبِ
generous final return,
وَ حَطِّ الْعِقَابِ
absolvement of castigation,
وَصَرْفِ الْعَذَابِ
warding off penalty,
وَ غُنْمِ الْاِيَابِ
winning of returning to You,
وَ سِتْرِ الْحِجَابِ
and covering with screen [against sinning].
وَامْحُ اللّٰهُمَّ مَا ثَبَتَ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِىْ
O Allah, erase my fixed sins,
وَاغْسِلْ بِقَبُوْلِهَا جَمِيْعَ عُيُوْبِىْ
wash out all my defects by accepting my repentance,
وَاجْعَلْهَا جَالِيَةً لِقَلْبِىْ
and make my repentance to polish my heart,
شَاخِصَةً لِبَصِيْرَةِ لُبِّىْ
to diagnose the insight of my mind,
غَاسِلَةً لِدَرَنِىْ
to rinse my filth,
مُطَهِّرَةً لِنِجَاسَةِ بَدَنِىْ
to purify my bodily impurity,
مُصَحِّحَةً فِيْهَا ضَمِيْرِىْ
to set aright my inner self,
عَاجِلَةً اِلَى الْوَفَاۤءِ بِهَا بَصِيْرَتِىْ،
and to urge my insight to act upon it [i.e. my repentance] immediately.
وَاقْبَلْ يَا رَبِّ تَوْبَتِىْ
O my Lord, admit my repentance,
فَاِنَّهَا تَصْدُرُ مِنْ اِخْلَاصِ نِيَّتِىْ
because it emanates from my sincere intention
وَ مَحْضٍ مِنْ تَصْحِيْحِ بَصِيْرَتِىْ
and from the most accurate and purest form of my perception.
وَاحْتِفَالً فِىْ طَوِيَّتِىْ
It [i.e. my repentance] also involves perfect determination of my inner self,
وَاجْتِهَادٍ فِىْ نَقَاۤءِ سَرِيْرَتِىْ
an attempt to keep my soul pure,
وَ تَثْبِيْتً لِاِنَابَتِىْ
my firmness to turn to You in repentance,
وَ مُسَارِعَةً اِلٰۤى اَمْرِكَ بِطَاعَتِىْ
and my decision to run for obeying Your orders.
وَاجْلُ اللّٰهُمَّ بِالتَّوْبَةِ عَنِّىْ ظُلْمَةَ الْاِصْرَارِ
O Allah, by means of my repentance, (please) drive away the darkness of insistence on sinning from me,
وَامْحُ بِهَا مَا قَدَّمْتُهُ مِنَ الْاَوْزَارِ
erase my burdensome sins that I have committed,
وَاكْسُنِىْ لِبَاسَ التَّقْوٰى
and dress me the clothing of piety
وَ جَلَابِيْبَ الْهُدٰى
and the garments of true guidance,
فَقَدْ خَلَعْتُ رِبْقَ الْمَعَاصِىْ عَنْ جَلَدِىْ
for I am determined to remove the rein of acts of disobedience to You from my neck
وَ نَزَعْتُ سِرْبَالَ الذُّنُوْبِ عَنْ جَسَدِىْ
and to strip the shirt of sinning of my body,
مُسْتَمْسِكًا رَبِّ بِقُدْرَتِكَ
holding fast to Your omnipotence, O my Lord,
مُسْتَعِيْنًا عَلٰى نَفْسِىْ بِعِزَّتِكَ
seeking Your help against myself by Your almightiness,
مُسْتَوْدِعًا تَوْبَتِىْ مِنَ النَّكْثِ بِخَفْرَتِكَ
entrusting with You my repentance from breaching my covenant with You by Your protection of me,
مُعْتَصِمًا مِنَ الْخِذْلَانِ بِعِصْمَتِكَ
taking refuge in Your haven against that You may disappoint me,
مُقَارِنًا بِهِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَاقُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِكَ
believing that there is neither might nor power except with You.
اَللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِى الْحَجَّ
O Allah, (please) grant me success to go on hajj pilgrimage,
الَّذِى افْتَرَضْتَهُ عَلٰى مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ اِلَيْهِ سَبِيْلًا
which You have imposed upon whoever is capable of going on it,
وَاجْعَلْ لِىْ فِيْهِ هَادِيًا وَ اِلَيْهِ دَلِيْلًا
appoint for me in it a guide and a director to it,
وَ قَرِّبْ لِىْ بُعْدَ الْمَسَالِكِ
make accessible for me the remote paths,
وَ اَعِنِّىْ عَلٰى تَاْدِيَةِ الْمَنَاسِكِ
help me carry out its rituals,
وَ حَرِّمْ بِاِحْرَامِىْ عَلَى النَّارِ جَسَدِىْ
prevent fire from consuming my body due to my entering into the state of ritual consecration,
وَ زِدْ لِلسَّفَرِ قُوَّتِىْ وَ جَلَدِىْ
and increase my power and my endurance on my hajj journey.
وَارْزُقْنِىْ رَبِّ الْوُقُوْفَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
O my Lord, grant me the opportunity to present myself in Your Presence
وَالْاِفَاضَةَ اِلَيْكَ
and to hasten my steps to You
وَاَظْفِرْنِىْ بِالنُّجْحِ بِوَافِرِ الرِّبْحِ
and grant me success in obtaining abundant gain.
وَاَصْدِرْنِىْ رَبِّ مِنْ مَوْقِفِ الْحَجِّ الْاَكْبَرِ
My Lord, grant me opportunity to attach the situation of the grand hajj
اِلٰى مُزْدَلِفَةِ الْمَشْعَرِ
to Muzdalifah, the holy monument,
وَاجْعَلْهَا زُلْفَةً اِلٰى رَحْمَتِكَ
deciding it to be a nearer step towards Your mercy
وَ طَرِيْقًا اِلٰى جَنَّتِكَ
and a path towards Your Paradise.
وَقِفْنِىْ مَوْقِفَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ
Help me to stop at the situation of the Holy Monument
وَ مَقامَ وُقُوْفِ الْاِ حْرَامِ
and the situation of the ritual consecration.
وَاَهِلَّنِىْ لِتَاْدِيَةِ الْمَناسِكِ،
Prepare me to carry out the rituals,
وَنَحْرِ الْهَدْىِ التَّوَامِكِ
to immolate the offertory camels,
بِدَمٍ يَثُجُّ وَاَوْدَاجٍ تَمُجُّ
causing their blood to gush forth and their throats to be cut off,
وَ اِرَاقَةِ الدِّمَاۤءِ الْمَسْفُوْحَةِ
and make me shed the poured out blood (of these animals),
وَالْهَدَايَا الْمَذْبُوْحَةِ
offer the slaughtered offertory animals,
وَ فَرْىِ اَوْدَاجِهَا عَلٰى مَاۤ اَمَرْتَ
cut off their throats as exactly as You have instructed,
وَ التَّنَفُّلِ بِهَا كَمَا وَسَمْتَ
and submit them as presents as exactly as You have prescribed.
وَاَحْضِرْنِىْ اللّٰهُمَّ صَلٰوةَ الْعِيْدِ
O Allah, make me present myself at the Feast Prayer,
رَاجِيًا لِلْوَعْدِ
hoping for what You have promised to give,
خَاۤئِفًا مِنَ الْوَعِيْدِ
fearful of what You have threatened Your punishment,
حَالِقًا شَعْرَ رَاْسِىْ وَ مُقَصِّرًا
shaving or cutting short the hair of my head,
وَ مُجْتَهِدًا فِىْ طَاعَتِكَ مُشَمِّرًا
exerting all efforts to obey You painstakingly,
رَامِيًا لِلْجِمَارِ
and throwing at the statues
بِسَبْعٍ بَعْدَ سَبْعٍ مِنَ الْاَحْجَارِ
seven pebbles after seven.
وَاَدْخِلْنِىْ اللّٰهُمَّ عَرْصَةَ بَيْتِكَ وَ عَقْوَتِكَ
O Allah, make me to enter the court and the yard of Your house,
وَ مَحَلَّ اَمْنِكَ وَ كَعْبَتِكَ
the place of Your security, Your Ka'bah,
وَ مَسَاكِيْنِكَ وَ سُؤَّالِكَ وَ مَحَاوِيْجِكَ
and to give to the poor, the beggars, and the needy who ask from You.
وَجُدْ عَلَىَّ اللّٰهُمَّ بِوَافِرِ الْاَجْرِ
O Allah, endue me generously with abundant reward
مِنَ الْاِنْكِفَاۤءِ وَالنَّفْرِ
after my return and in my journey back.
وَاخْتِمِ اللّٰهُمَّ مَنَاسِكَ حَجِّىْ
O Allah, seal my performance of the rituals of hajj
وَانْقِضَاۤءِ عَجِّىْ
and the termination of my cries with the statements of response to You
بِقَبُوْلٍ مِنْكَ لِىْ
with acceptance from You
وَ رَاْفَةٍ مِنْكَ بِىْ
and with clemency that You show me.
يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
O most merciful of all those who show mercy!
MUNAJAAT FOR SAFETY FROM PERSECUTION
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ ظُلْمَ عِبَادِكَ قَدْ تَمَكَّنَ فِىْ بِلَادِكَ
O Allah, the persecutions against Your servant have become so prevalent in Your lands
حَتّٰىۤ اَمَاتَ الْعَدْلَ
that it has put an end to justice,
وَ قَطَعَ السُّبُلَ
interrupted all ways,
وَ مَحَقَ الْحَقَّ
eradicated the right,
وَ اَبْطَلَ الصِّدْقَ
thwarted truthfulness,
وَاَخْفَى الْبِرَّ
enshrouded charity,
وَاَظْهَرَ الشَّرَّ
demonstrated evil,
وَاَخْمَدَ التَّقْوٰى
extinguished piety,
وَ اَزَالَ الْهُدٰى
removed true guidance,
وَ اَزَاحَ الْخَيْرَ
dislodged decency,
وَ اَثْبَتَ الضَّيْرَ
planted harm,
وَ اَنْمَى الْفَسَادَ
promoted corruption,
وَ قَوَّى الْعِنَادَ
strengthened obstinacy,
وَ بَسَطَ الْجَوْرَ
spread out prejudice,
وَ عَدَى الطَّوْرَ
and exceeded all bounds.
اَللّٰهُمَّ يَا رَبِّ لَا يَكْشِفُ ذٰلِكَ اِلَّا سُلْطَانُكَ
O Allah! O my Lord, nothing can eliminate all that except Your authority
وَ لَايُجِيْرُ مِنْهُ اِلَّا امْتِنَانُكَ
and nothing can deliver from it except Your obliging favors.
اَللّٰهُمَّ رَبِّ فَابْتُرِ الظُّلْمَ
O Allah! O my Lord, (please) mutilate persecution,
وَ بُثَّ جِبَالَ الْغَشْمِ
demolish the mountains of oppression,
وَ اَخْمِدْ سُوْقَ الْمُنْكَرِ
stagnate the business of evil,
وَ اَعِزَّ مَنْ عَنْهُ يَنْزَ جِرُ
grant victory to those who deter from it,
وَاحْصُدْ شَاْفَةَ اَهْلِ الْجَوْرِ،
harvest the roots of the people of prejudice,
وَ اَلْبِسْهُمُ الْحَوْرَ بَعْدَ الْكَوْرِ
and attire them with shrinkage after escalation.
وَ عَجِّلِ اللّٰهُمَّ اِلَيْهِمُ الْبَيَاتَ
O Allah, afflict them with inaction immediately,
وَ اَنْزِلْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَثُلَاتِ
send down on them exemplary punishments,
وَاَمِتْ حَيٰوةَ الْمُنْكَرِ
and put to death the life of wickedness
لِيُؤْ مَنَ الْمَخُوْفُ
so that the terrorized will be secured,
وَ يَسْكُنَ الْمَلْهُوْفُ
the terrified will calm down,
وَ يَشْبَعَ الْجَاۤئِعُ
the hungry will become full,
وَ يُحْفَظَ الضَّاۤئِعُ
the lost will be guarded,
وَ يَاْوَى الطَّرِيْدُ
the fugitive will find a place of settlement,
وَ يَعُوْدَ الشَّرِيْدُ
the escapee will return home,
وَ يُغْنَى الْفَقِيْرُ
the poor will be satisfied,
وَ يُجَارَ الْمُسْتَجِيْرُ
the refugee will be sheltered,
وَ يُوَقَّرَ الْكَبِيْرُ
the old will be respected,
وَ يُرْحَمَ الصَّغِيْرُ
the infants will be shown mercy,
وَ يُعَزَّ الْمَظْلُوْمُ
the wronged will be treated fairly,
وَ يُذَلَّ الظَّالِمُ
the wrongdoers will be humiliated,
وَ يُفَرَّجَ الْمَغْمُوْمُ
the distressed will be relieved,
وَ تَنْفَرِجَ الْغَمَّاۤءُ
the agonies will be driven away,
وَ تَسْكُنُ الدَّهْمَاۤءُ
the populace will find rest,
وَ يَمُوْتَ الْاِخْتِلَافُ
discrepancy will be wiped out,
وَ يَعْلُوَالْعِلْمُ
knowledge will be exalted,
وَ يَشْمُلَ السِّلْمُ
peace will be prevalent,
وَ يُجْمَعَ الشَّتَاتُ
dispersion will be amassed,
وَ يَقْوَى الْاِ يْمَانُ
faith will be strengthened,
وَ يُتْلَى الْقُرْاٰنُ
and the Qur'an will be practically recited.
اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الدَّيَانُ الْمُنْعِمُ الْمَنَّانُ
Verily, You are the Master, the Munificent, and the Favorer.
MUNAJAAT FOR THANKSGIVING
اَللّٰهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
O Allah, all praise be to You
عَلٰى مَرَدِّ نَوَازِلِ الْبَلَاۤءِ
for driving away the imminent misfortunes
وَ مُلِمَّاتِ الضَّرَّاۤءِ
and the wrapping harms,
وَ كَشْفِ نَوَاۤئِبِ اللَاْوَاۤءِ
for relieving from the calamitous hardships,
وَ تَوَالِىْ سُبُوْغِ النَّعْمَاۤءِ
and for the succession of the profuse blessings.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰى هَنِيْۤئِ عَطَاۤئِكَ
All praise be to You for Your pleasant bestowals,
وَ مَحْمُوْدِ بَلَاۤئِكَ
praiseworthy conferrals,
وَ جَلِيْلِ اٰلَاۤ ئِكَ
and great boons.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰۤى اِحْسَانِكَ الْكَثِيْرِ
All praise be to You for Your very much benevolence,
وَ خَيْرِكَ الْغَزِيْرِ
torrential welfare,
وَ تَكْلِيْفِكَ الْيَسِيْرِ
and easy-to-do obligations
وَ دَفْعِ الْعَسِيْرِ
and for Your driving away the difficulties.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ يَا رَبِّ
All praise be to You, O Lord,
عَلٰى تَثْمِيْرِكَ قَلِيْلَ الشُّكْرِ
for multiplying the little thanksgiving,
وَ اِعْطَاۤئِكَ وَ افِرَ الْاَجْرِ
enduing with abundant rewards,
وَ حَطِّكَ مُثْقَلَ الْوِزْرِ
excusing the heavy burdens,
وَ قَبُوْلِكَ ضَيِّقَ الْعُذْرِ
accepting the improper apologies,
وَ وَضْعِكَ بَاهِضَ الْاِصْرِوَ
lessening the exorbitant loads,
تَسْهِيْلِكَ مَوْضِعَ الْوَعْرِ
making easy the difficult situations,
وَ مَنْعِكَ مُفْظِعَ الْاَمْرِ
and dispelling the horrible matters.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى الْبَلَاۤءِ الْمَصْرُوْفِ
All praise be to You for Your dispelling the misfortunes,
وَ وَ افِرِ الْمَعْرُوْفِ
Your granting abundant charity,
وَ دَفْعِ الْمَخُوْفِ
Your driving away the terrifying matters,
وَ اِذْلَا لِ الْعَسُوْفِ
and Your facilitating the oppressive issues.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلى قِلَّةِ التَّكْلِيْفِ
All praise be to You for the little mandates,
وَ كَثْرَةِ التَّخْفِيْفِ
the much alleviation,
وَ تَقْوِيَةِ الضَّعِيْفِ
the strengthening of the feeble,
وَ اِغاثَةِ اللَّهِيْفِ
and the assisting of the distressed.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰى سَعَةِ اِمْهَالِكَ
All praise be to You for Your long-term respite,
وَ دَوَامِ اِفْضالِكَ
Your incessant favoring,
وَ صَرْفِ اِمْحَالِكَ
Your chasing off fruitlessness,
وَ حَمِيْدِ اَفْعَالِكَ
Your praiseworthy deeds,
وَ تَوَالِىْ نَوَالِكَ
and Your continuous donations.
وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلٰى تَاْخِيْرِ مُعَاجَلَةِ الْعِقَابِ
All praise be to You for putting off the looming punishment,
وَ تَرْكِ مُغَافَصَةِ الْعَذَابِ
shunning sudden chastisement,
وَ تَسْهِيْلِ طَرِيْقِ الْمَاٰبِ
paving the way back to You,
وَ اِنْزَالِ غَيْثِ السَّحَابِ
and sending down the rain of the clouds.
اِنَّكَ الْمَنَّانُ الْوَهَّابُ
Verily, You are the All-tender, the Alldonor.
MUNAJAAT FOR GRANTING OF REQUESTS
جَدِيْرٌ مَنْ اَمَرْتَهُ بِالدُّعَاۤءِ اَنْ يَدْعُوْكَ
He whom You have ordered to pray You is worthily required to pray You
وَ مَنْ وَعَدْتَهُ بِالْاِجَابَةِ اَنْ يَرْجُوْكَ
and he whom You have promised to respond to his prayers is worthily required to hope for Your response.
وَلِىَ اللّٰهُمَّ حَاجَةٌ
O Allah, I have a request [that I need You to grant]
قَدْ عَجَزَتْ عَنْهَا حِيْلَتِىْ
that I am too short to fulfill,
وَكَلَّتْ فِيْهَا طَاقَتِىْ
too powerless to do,
وَ ضَعُفَ عَنْ مَرَامِهَا قُوَّتِىْ
and too weak to attain.
وَ سَوَّلَتْ لِىْ نَفْسِىَ الْاَمَّارَةُ بِالسُّوْۤءِ
My soul that is prone to evil
وَ عَدُوِّى الْغَرُوْرُ الَّذِىْۤ اَنَا مِنْهُ مَبْلُوٌ
and my deceiving archenemy from whom I am suffering
اَنْ اَرْغَبَ اِلَيْكَ فِیْهَا،
have beguiled me into shunning wishing for Your help in this request.
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاَنْجِحْهَا بِاَيْمَنِ النَّجَاحِ
O Allah, so (please) grant my request the most blissful success,
وَاهْدِهَا سَبِيْلَ الْفَلَاحِ
direct it towards the path of prosperity,
وَاشْرَحْ بِالرَّجَاۤءِ لِاِسْعَافِكَ صَدْرِىْ
expand my breast with hopeful petition for Your relief,
وَ يَسِّرْ فِىْۤ اَسْبَابِ الْخَيْرِ اَمْرِىْ
facilitate my affairs through the ways of welfare,
وَ صَوِّرْ اِلَىَّ الْفَوْزَ بِبُلُوْغِ مَا رَجَوْتُهُ
and establish for me triumph through making me attain what I have hoped for
بِالْوُصُوْلِ اِلٰى مَاۤ اَمَّلْتُهُ
and gain what I have wished for.
وَ وَفِّقْنِى اللّٰهُمَّ فِىْ قَضَاۤءِ حَاجَتِىْ
O Allah, (please) grant me access to the fulfillment of my requests
بِبُلُوْغِ اُمْنِيَّتِىْ
through attainment of my wish
وَ تَصْدِيْقِ رَغْبَتِىْ
and achievement of my desire.
وَاَعِذْنِىْ اللّٰهُمَّ بِكَرَمِكَ مِنَ الْخَيْبَةِ وَالْقُنُوْطِ
O Allah, in the name of Your Nobility, (please) protect me against disappointment, despair,
وَالْاَنَاةِ وَالتَّثْبِيْطِ
despondency, and frustration.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّكَ مَلِىْۤءٌ بِالْمَنَاۤئِحِ الْجَزِيْلَةِ
O Allah, You are full of plentiful gifts,
وَفِىُّ بِهَا
You are true to Your words,
وَ اَنْتَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ
You have power over all things,
بِعِبَادِكَ خَبِيْرٌ بَصِيْرٌ۔
and You know and regard all of Your servants.
