ZIYARAH OF AMIR AL MUMININ (A) ON SUNDAYS
Someone who had the honor to meet the Patron of the Age (a.s.) has narrated that he heard from him the following form of Ziyarah addressed to Imam AliAmeer al-Momineen(a.s.) on Sundays, which is dedicated to him:
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَى الشَّجَرَةِ النَّبَوِيَّةِ
Peace be upon the Prophetic Tree
وَ الدَّوْحَةِ الْهَاشِمِيَّةِ الْمُضِيْئَةِ
and the Hashemite plant that is luminous,
الْمُثْمِرَةِ بِالنُّبُوَّةِ
fruitful of Prophethood,
الْمُوْنِقَةِ [الْمُوْنِعَةِ] بِالْاِمَامَةِ
and elegant with Imamate.
وَ عَلٰى ضَجِيْعَيْكَ اٰدَمَ وَ نُوْحٍ
And [peace be] upon your two grave-fellows; Adam and Noah,
عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ
peace be upon both of them.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلٰى اَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ
Peace be upon you and upon your Household,
الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ
the pure and immaculate.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ وَ عَلَى الْمَلَاۤئِكَةِ الْمُحْدِقِيْنَ بِكَ
Peace be upon you and upon the angels surrounding you
وَ الْحَافِّيْنَ بِقَبْرِكَ
and encompassing your tomb.
يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا اَمِيْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
O my master, O Commander of the Believers!
هٰذَا يَوْمُ الْاَحَدِ
Today is Sunday,
وَ هُوَ يَوْمُكَ وَ بِاسْمِكَ
which is your day and carrying your name,
وَ اَنَا ضَيْفُكَ فِيْهِ وَ جَارُكَ
and, on this day, I am your guest and in your vicinity;
فَاَضِفْنِي يَا مَوْلَايَ وَ اَجِرْنِيْ
therefore, my master, receive me as your guest and neighbor.
فَاِنَّكَ كَرِيْمٌ تُحِبُّ الضِّيَافَةَ
Surely, you are generous and hospitable
وَ مَأْمُوْرٌ بِالْاِجَارَةِ
and you are commanded to treat your neighbors hospitably.
فَافْعَلْ مَا رَغِبْتُ اِلَيْكَ فِيْهِ
So, (please) do to me that which I desire from you
وَ رَجَوْتُهُ مِنْكَ
and I hope you to do,
بِمَنْزِلَتِكَ وَ اٰلِ بَيْتِكَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ
[I ask you] in the name of your and your Household’s standing with Allah
وَ مَنْزِلَتِهِ عِنْدَكُمْ
and His standing with you all,
وَ بِحَقِّ ابْنِ عَمِّكَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ
and in the name of your cousin, Allah’s Messenger,
صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ اٰلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ
may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him
وَ عَلَيْهِمْ [عَلَيْكُمْ] اَجْمَعِيْنَ۔
and upon them all.
