SALAWAT UPON IMAM MOHAMMAD TAQI (A)
Invoking Almighty Allah’s blessings on Imam alJawad (‘a), you may say the following words:
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ
وَ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ۟
وَ الْمُهَذَّبِ النَّقِيِّ
وَ يَنْبُوْعِ الْحِكْمَةِ
وَ عَدِيْلِ الْقُرْاٰنِ فِيْ الطَّاعَةِ
وَ وَاحِدِ الْاَوْصِيَاۤءِ فِي الْاِخْلَاصِ وَ الْعِبَادَةِ
الَّذِيْ نَصَبْتَهُ عَلَمًا لِعِبَادِكَ
وَ مُتَرْجِمًا لِكِتَابِكَ
وَ حُجَّةً عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ
وَ نُوْرًا تَخْرُقُ بِهِ الظُّلَمَ
وَ قُدْوَةً تُدْرَكُ بِهَا الْهِدَايَةُ
وَ شَفِيْعًا تُنَالُ بِهِ الْجَنَّةُ
اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ كَمَاۤ اَخَذَ فِيْ خُشُوْعِهِ لَكَ حَظَّهُ
وَ اسْتَوْفَى مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ نَصِيْبَهُ
فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ اَضْعَافَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى وَلِيّ
وَ بَلِّغْهُ مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَ سَلَامْا
وَ اٰتِنَا فِيْ مُوَالَاتِهِ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فَضْلًا وَ اِحْسَانًا
وَ مَغْفِرَةً وَ رِضْوَانًا
اِنَّكَ ذُو الْمَنِّ الْقَدِيْمِ
وَ الصَّفْحِ الْجَمِيْلِ۔
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, send blessings upon Muhammad the son of ‘Ali, the pure, the pious, the righteous, the faithful, the refined, the bright, the guide of the nation, the inheritor of the Imams, the hoarder of mercy, the spring of wisdom, the leader of blessing, the match of the Qur'an in obedience, the distinctive among the Successors in sincerity and worship, Your premier argument, Your highest example, Your most excellent Word, the caller to You, and the director towards You, whom You have appointed as signpost for Your servants, interpreter of Your Book, expounder of Your commands, supporter of Your religion, argument against Your creatures, radiance through whom darkness is penetrated, excellent example through whom true guidance is hit, and intercessor through whom Paradise is won. O Allah, just as he took his share of reverence for You and received completely his portion of fear of You, so (please) bless him with many folds of blessings that You have ever poured down on an intimate servant of You whose obedience to You has been approved of by You and whose servitude has been admitted by You. Convey to him greetings and salutations from us, and give us - from You on account of our loyalty to him -favors, kindness, forgiveness, and pleasure. You are verily the Lord of eternal favoring and nice pardoning.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الرَّبُّ وَ اَنَا الْمَرْبُوْبُ
You may then offer the twounit prayer of ziyarah. After accomplishment, you may say the supplication, which begins with this statement:
O Allah, You are the Sustainer and I am the sustained...
[This supplication will be quoted entirely within Appendix II of this volume.]
You may then pray Almighty Allah for your personal requests and they shall be granted, Allah willing.
