TAWEEZ AGAINST MOUTHACHE

Imam al-Sadiq(a.s.) is reported to have said: As for those who suffer from mouth ache, they may put their hands on the ached organ and say the following:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِىْ لَايَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ دَاۤءٌ

In the Name of Allah with Whose Name no malady will harm.

اَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ الَّتِىْ لَايَضُرُّ مَعَهَا شَيْئٌ

I pray for the protection of Allah’s Words with which nothing will harm.

قُدُّوْسٌ قُدُّوْسٌ قُدُّوْسٌ

All-holy. All-holy. Allholy.

اَسْئَلُكَ يَا رَبِّ بِاسْمِكَ

I beseech You, O my Lord, in Your Name,

الطَّاهِرِ الْمُقَدَّسِ الْمُبَارَكِ

the all-pure, the sacred, the all-blessed;

الَّذِىْ مَنْ سَئَلَكَ بِهِ اَعْطَيْتَهُ

whoever beseeches You in Your Name, You will give him

وَ مَنْ دَعَاكَ بِهِ اَجَبْتَهُ

and whoever implores You in Your Name, You will respond to him.

اَسْئَلُكَ يَا اَللّٰهُ يَا اللّٰهُ يَا اللّٰهُ

I beseech you, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah,

اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِىِّ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

to bless Muhammad, the Prophet, and his Household

وَ اَنْ تُعَافِيَنِىْ مِمَّا اَجِدُ فِىْ فَمِىْ وَ فِىْ رَاْسِىْ

and to cure me of the ache from which I am suffering in my mouth, my head,

وَفِىْ سَمْعِىْ وَ فِىْ بَصَرِىْ

my hearing, my sight,

وَ فِىْ بَطْنِىْ وَ فِىْ ظَهْرِىْ

my stomach, my back,

وَ فِىْ يَدِىْ وَ فِىْ رِجْلِىْ

my hand, my leg,

وَ فِىْ جَوَارِحِىْ كُلِّهَا۔

and all of my organs.
