DUA FOR REPELLING THE EVIL OF IBLIS

Twenty-second: This supplicatory prayer for repelling the evil of Iblis (i.e. Satan) is also quoted from the book of al-Mujtana:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ اِبْلِيْسَ عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِيْدِكَ

O Allah, Iblis is not but one of Your servants;

يَرَانِىْ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَاۤ اَرَاهُ

he can see me from whence I cannot see him,

وَ اَنْتَ تَرَاهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَرَاكَ

but You can see him from whence he cannot see You.

وَ اَنْتَ اَقْوٰى عَلٰۤى اَمْرِهِ كُلِّهِ

While You have full power over all of his deeds,

وَ هُوَ لَايَقْوٰى عَلٰى شَيْئٍ مِنْ اَمْرِكَ

he has no power over any of Your decrees.

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاَنَا اَسْتَعِيْنُ بِكَ عَلَيْهِ يَا رَبِّ

So, O Allah, I pray Your help against him, O Lord,

فَاِنِّىْ لَا طَاقَةَ لِىْ بِهِ

for I have no strength to challenge him

وَلَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ لِىْ عَلَيْهِ اِلَّا بِكَ يَا رَبِّ

and I have neither might nor power against him except through You, O my Lord.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ اَرَادَنِىْ فَاَرِدْهُ

O Allah, if he intends evil to me, then (please) deter him,

وَ اِنْ كَادَنِىْ فَكِدْهُ

if he plots against me, then (please) plot against him,

وَاكْفِنِىْ شَرَّهُ

save me from his evils,

وَاجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُ فِىْ نَحْرِهِ

and make his trickery to be hanged to his own neck,

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

in the name of Your mercy, O most merciful of all those who show mercy.

وَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ۔

May Allah bless Muhammad and his Immaculate Household.
