Shaykh al-Tusi has also recorded that it is recommended to say the following prayer of forgiveness at the last hour of Thursdays:

اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ الَّذِيْ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ

I pray the forgiveness of Allah; there is no god but He,

الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ

the Ever-living, the Self-Subsisting,

وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ

and I repent to Him

تَوْبَةَ عَبْدٍ خَاضِعٍ

as a slave who is submissive,

مِسْكِيْنٍ مُسْتَكِيْنٍ

acquiescent, and poor,

لَا يَسْتَطِيْعُ لِنَفْسِهِ صَرْفًا وَ لَا عَدْلًا

not controlling for himself any harm or profit,

وَ لَا نَفْعًا وَ لَا ضَرًّا

or benefit or damage

وَ لَا حَيَاةً وَ لَا مَوْتًا وَ لَا نُشُوْرًا

and not controlling death nor life, nor raising (the dead) to life.

وَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ

May Allah send peace upon Muhammad

وَّ عِتْرَتِهِ الطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

and his Household; the pure, the immaculate,

الْاَخْيَارِ الْاَبْرَارِ

the choicest, and the pious;

وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيْمًا ۔

and may He spread thorough blessings over them.
