BIDDING FAREWELL TO IMAM AL REZA

When you intend to leave and bid farewell to the Imam, you may say the same form, which has been cited for bidding farewell to the Holy Prophet (s). This form is as follows:

لَا جَعَلَهُ اللهُ اٰخِرَ تَسْلِيْمِىْ عَلَيْكَ۔۔۔

Allah may not decide this compliment of me to be the last.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللّٰهِ وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ

اَللّٰهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْهُ اٰخِرَ الْعَهْدِ

You may then add the following words:

مِنْ زِيَارَتِيْ اِبْنَ نَبِيِّكَ وَ حُجَّتَكَ عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ

Peace and Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you, O Allah’ authority. O Allah, (please) do not decide this visit to be the last of my visit to the son of Your Prophet and Your argument against Your creatures. Include me with him in Your Paradise and involve me with him and with his group with the martyrs and the righteous ones; and excellent the companionship of these is. I entrust you with Allah, ask Him to keep you under His custody, and invoke His blessings upon you. We believe in Allah, in the Messenger, and in whatever you have come with and instructed. So, (please) write us down with those who bear witness.

وَ اجْمَعْنِيْ وَ اِيَّاهُ فِيْ جَنَّتِكَ

وَ احْشُرْنِيْ مَعَهُ وَ فِيْ حِزْبِهِ

مَعَ الشُّهَدَاۤءِ وَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ

وَ حَسُنَ اُوْلٰۤئِكَ رَفِيْقًا

وَ اَسْتَوْدِعُكَ اللّٰهَ وَ اسْتَرْعِيْكَ

وَ اَقْرَاُ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ

اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَ بِالرَّسُوْلِ

وَ بِمَا جِئْتَ بِهِ وَ دَلَلْتَ عَلَيْهِ

فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِيْنَ۔
