BIDDING FAREWELL TO IMAM MUSA KAZIM (A) & IMAM MOHAMMED TAQI (A)
When a visitor of Imam alKazim (‘a) and Imam alJawad (‘a) intends to leave, he/she may say the forms of bidding farewell (wada’) some of which have been previously cited in this book. The following is one of these forms, which is reported by Shaykh alTusi, in his book of Tahdhib alAhkam, where he says:
When you intend to bid farewell to Imam Musa alKazim (‘a), you may stop near the tomb and say the following words:
Peace be upon you, O my master Abu’l-Hasan. Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you. I entrust you with Allah and invoke peace (of Allah) on you. We believed in Allah, in the Messenger, and in that which you conveyed and guided to. O Allah, (please) write us down with those who bear witness.
In bidding farewell to Imam alJawad (‘a), you may say the following words:
Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger. Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you I entrust you with Allah and invoke peace (of Allah) on you. We believed in Allah, in His Messenger, and in that which you conveyed and guided to. O Allah, (please) write us down with those who bear witness.
You may then pray Almighty Allah not to decide this time of visit to be the last and beseech Him to grant you another opportunity to visit them. You may then kiss the tomb and place your both cheeks on it.
