SURAH AL-KAWTHAR (THE HEAVENLY SPRING)
There are 3 verses in this ‘Makki’ surah. It is narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) that the person who recites this surah in any of his prayers, will drink from the fountain of Kawthar. The reward for reciting this surah is compared to ten times the number of cattle slaughtered on Eid-ul-Adh’ha every year until the Day of Resurrection.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
اِنَّاۤ اَعْطَيْنٰكَ الْكَوْثَرَؕ(1)
(1) Surely We have given you Kausar,
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ ؕ(2)
(2) Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.
اِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْاَبْتَرُ(3)
(3) Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity,
