SUPPLICATIONS OF THE DAYS
The following are the supplications of the days as quoted from the appendix of al-Sahifah al-Kamilah al-Sajjadiyyah:
THE SUPPLICATION ON SATURDAYS
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
بِسْمِ اللهِ كَلِمَةُ الْمُعْتَصِمِيْنَ
“In the name of Allah,” the word of those who hold fast to Him,
وَ مَقَالَةُ الْمُتَحَرِّزِيْنَ
the speech of those who seek His protection
وَ اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ تَعَالٰى مِنْ جَوْرِ الْجَاۤئِرِيْنَ
I seek refuge in Allah, high exalted is He, from the injustice of the unjust,
وَ كَيْدِ الْحَاسِدِيْنَ
the trickery of the enviers,
وَ بَغْـىِ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
and the oppression of the wrongdoers,
وَ اَحْمَدُهٗ فَوْقَ حَمْدِ الْحَامِدِيْنَ
and I praise Him beyond the praise of the praisers!
اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْوَاحِدُ بِلَا شَرِيْكٍ
O Allah, You are the One without partner,
وَالْمَلِكُ بِلَا تَمْلِيْكٍ
and the King without having been made sovereign;
لَا تُضَآدُّ فِىْ حُكْمِكَ
no one opposes You in Your decree
وَ لَا تُنَازَعُ فِىْ مُلْكِكَ
and no one contests You in Your kingdom.
اَسْئَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ
I beseech You to bless Muhammad and his Household,
عَبْدِكَ وَ رَسُوْلِكَ
Your servant and Your messenger,
وَ اَنْ تُوْزِعَنِىْ مِنْ شُكْرِ نُعْمَاكَ
inspire me with a thanksgiving for Your favors
مَا تَبْلُغُ بِىْ غَايَةَ رِضَاكَ
that You take to the utmost limit of Your good pleasure,
وَ اَنْ تُعِيْنَنِىْ عَلٰى طَاعَتِكَ
help me to obey You,
وَ لُزُوْمِ عِبَادَتِكَ
hold fast to worshiping You,
وَاسْتِحْقَاقِ مَثُوْبَتِكَ
and deserve Your reward,
بِلُطْفِ عِنَايَتِكَ
through the gentleness of Your solicitude
وَ تَرْحَمَنِىْ بِصَدِّىْ عَنْ مَعَاصِيْكَ مَا اَحْيَيْتَنِىْ
have mercy upon me, bar me from acts of disobedience to You as long as You keep me alive,
وَ تُوَفِّقَنِىْ لِمَا يَنْفَعُنِىْ مَا اَبْقَيْتَنِىْ
give me success in what profits me as long as You spare me,
وَ اَنْ تَشْرَحَ بِكِتَابِكَ صَدْرِىْ
expand my breast through Your Book,
وَ تَحُطَّ بِتِلَاوَتِهٖ وِزْرِىْ
lessen my burden through its recitation,
وَ تَمْنَحَنِىْ السَّلَامَةَ فِىْ دِيْنِىْ وَ نَفْسِىْ
bestow upon me health in my religion and my soul,
وَلَا تُوْحِشَ بِىْ اَهْلَ اُنْسِىْ
estrange not my intimates from me,
وَ تُتِمَّ اِحْسَانَكَ فِيْمَا بَقِىَ مِنْ عُمْرِىْ
and complete Your beneficence in what is left of my lifetime,
كَمَا اَحْسَنْتَ فِيْمَا مَضٰى مِنْهُ
just as You have shown beneficence in that of it which has passed!
يَاۤ اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ۔
O Most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
