IMAM AL-REZA’S SUPPLICATION

يَا صَاحِبِيْ فِيْ شِدَّتِيْ

O My Companion in my distress!

وَ يَا وَلِيِّيْ فِيْ نِعْمَتِيْ

O My Patron in my bounties!

وَ يَا اِلٰهِيْ وَ اِلٰهَ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَ اِسْمَاعِيْلَ

O My God and the God of Abraham, Ishmael,

وَ اِسْحَاقَ وَ يَعْقُوْبَ

Isaac, and Jacob!

يَا رَبَّ كٓهٰيٓعٓصٓ وَ يٰسٓ وَ الْقُرْاٰنِ الْحَكِيْمِ

O Lord of kaf-ha'-ya'-'ayn-sad, ya'-sin, and the Qur'an full of wisdom!

اَسْاَلُكَ يَا اَحْسَنَ مَنْ سُئِلَ

I beseech You O Most Excellent of all those who may be besought!

وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ دُعِيَ

O Most Favorite of all those who may be prayed!

وَ يَا اَجْوَدَ مَنْ اَعْطٰى

O Most Magnanimous of all those who may give!

وَ يَا خَيْرَ مُرْتَجًى

O Most Preferred of all those who may be hoped!

اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ۔

I beseech You to send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad.
