ZIYARAH OF IMAM ZAYN AL ABIDIN, IMAM MUHAMMAD AL BAQIR & IMAM JAFAR AL SADIQ (A) ON TUESDAY
This day is dedicated to the Imams Ali ibn al-Husayn Zayn al-’Abidin, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir, and Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq - peace be upon them all. Their Ziyarah on Tuesdays is as follows:
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا خُزَّانَ عِلْمِ اللّٰهِ
Peace be on you, O depositories of Allah’s knowledge!
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا تَرَاجِمَةَ وَحْيِ اللّٰهِ
Peace be on you, O interpreters of Allah’s Revelation!
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَئِمَّةَ الْهُدٰى
Peace be on you, O leaders to true guidance!
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَعْلَامَ التُّقٰى
Peace be on you, O signs of piety!
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا اَوْلَادَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ
Peace be on you, O descendants of Allah’s Messenger!
اَنَا عَارِفٌ بِحَقِّكُمْ
I recognize your rights,
مُسْتَبْصِرٌ بِشَأْنِكُمْ
I discernibly acknowledge your true standing,
مُعَادٍ لِاَعْدَاۤئِكُمْ
I incur the hostility of your enemies,
مُوَالٍ لِاَوْلِيَاۤئِكُمْ
and I show loyalty to your loyalists.
بِاَبِيْ اَنْتُمْ وَ اُمِّيْ
May Allah accept me, my father, and mother as ransoms for you!
صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ
Blessings of Allah be upon you.
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَتَوَالٰى اٰخِرَهُمْ كَمَا تَوَالَيْتُ اَوَّلَهُمْ
O Allah, I am willingly showing loyalty to the last of them just as I have shown loyalty to the first of them,
وَ اَبْرَاُ مِنْ كُلِّ وَلِيْجَةٍ دُوْنَهُمْ
I release myself from any confidant other than them,
وَ اَكْفُرُ بِالْجِبْتِ وَ الطَّاغُوْتِ وَ اللَّاتِ وَ الْعُزّٰى
and I reject all idols, false deities, al-Lat, and al-'Uzza.
صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا مَوَالِيَّ
Blessings of Allah be upon you, O my Masters!
وَ رَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَ بَرَكَاتُهُ
Mercy of Allah and His benedictions be upon you, too.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْعَابِدِيْنَ وَ سُلَالَةَ الْوَصِيِّيْنَ
Peace be upon you, O master of the worshippers and descendant of the Prophets’ successors.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَاقِرَ عِلْمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ
Peace be upon you, O he who split open the knowledge of the Prophets.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَادِقًا مُصَدَّقًا فِي الْقَوْلِ وَ الْفِعْلِ
Peace be upon you, O veracious and honest in all [your] words and deeds.
يَا مَوَالِيَّ هٰذَا يَوْمُكُمْ
O my Masters! Today is your day,
وَ هُوَ يَوْمُ الثُّلَاثَاۤءِ
which is Tuesday,
وَ اَنَا فِيْهِ ضَيْفٌ لَكُمْ
and on this day, I am your guest
وَ مُسْتَجِيْرٌ بِكُمْ
and I am in your vicinity;
فَاَضِيْفُوْنِيْ وَ اَجِيْرُوْنِيْ
so, receive me as your guest and treat me as your neighbor,
بِمَنْزِلَةِ اللّٰهِ عِنْدَكُمْ
[I ask you] by Allah’s standing with you
وَ اٰلِ بَيْتِكُمْ اَلطَّيِّبِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ۔
and with your Household, the pure and immaculate.
