SURAH AL-MULK (THE KINGDOM)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
تَبٰرَكَ الَّذِىْ بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرُۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things,</b></font>
۟الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيٰوةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ اَيُّكُمْ اَحْسَنُ عَمَلًاؕ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْغَفُوْرُۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًا‌ ؕ مَا تَرٰى فِىْ خَلْقِ الرَّحْمٰنِ مِنْ تَفٰوُتٍ‌ ؕ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَۙ هَلْ تَرٰى مِنْ فُطُوْرٍ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?</b></font>
ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنْقَلِبْ اِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَّهُوَ حَسِيْرٌ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall come back to you confused while it is fatigued.</b></font>
وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيْحَ وَجَعَلْنٰهَا رُجُوْمًا لِّلشَّيٰطِيْنِ‌ وَاَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيْرِ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning.</b></font>
وَلِلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ‌ؕ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيْرُ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort.</b></font>
اِذَاۤ اُلْقُوْا فِيْهَا سَمِعُوْا لَهَا شَهِيْقًا وَّهِىَ تَفُوْرُۙ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) When they shall be cast therein, they shall hear a loud moaning of it as it heaves,</b></font>
تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ‌ؕ كُلَّمَاۤ اُلْقِىَ فِيْهَا فَوْجٌ سَاَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَاۤ اَلَمْ يَاْتِكُمْ نَذِيْرٌ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner?</b></font>
قَالُوْا بَلٰى قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيْرٌ ۙ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ مِنْ شَىْءٍ ۖۚ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا فِىْ ضَلٰلٍ كَبِيْرٍ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error.</b></font>
وَقَالُوْا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ اَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِىْۤ اَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And they shall say: Had we but listened or pondered, we should not have been among the inmates of the burning fire.</b></font>
فَاعْتَرَفُوْا بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ‌ۚ فَسُحْقًا لِّاَصْحٰبِ السَّعِيْرِ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire.</b></font>
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّاَجْرٌ كَبِيْرٌ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) (As for) those who fear their Lord in secret, they shall surely have forgiveness and a great reward.</b></font>
وَاَسِرُّوْا قَوْلَكُمْ اَوِ اجْهَرُوْا بِهٖؕ اِنَّهٗ عَلِيْمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.</b></font>
اَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَؕ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيْفُ الْخَبِيْرُ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Does He not know, Who created? And He is the Knower of the subtleties, the Aware.</b></font>
هُوَ الَّذِىْ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ ذَلُوْلًا فَامْشُوْا فِىْ مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوْا مِنْ رِّزْقِهٖ‌ؕ وَاِلَيْهِ النُّشُوْرُ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death.</b></font>
ءَاَمِنْتُمْ مَّنْ فِىْ السَّمَآءِ اَنْ يَّخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْاَرْضَ فَاِذَا هِىَ تَمُوْرُۙ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion.</b></font>
اَمْ اَمِنْتُمْ مَّنْ فِى السَّمَآءِ اَنْ يُّرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا‌ ؕ فَسَتَعْلَمُوْنَ كَيْفَ نَذِيْرِ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning.</b></font>
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيْرِ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval.</b></font>
اَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا اِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صٰٓفّٰتٍ وَّيَقْبِضْنَؕؔ ۘ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ اِلَّا الرَّحْمٰنُ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ بَصِيْرٌ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Have they not seen the birds above them expanding (their wings) and contracting (them)? What is it that withholds them save the Beneficent Allah? Surely He sees everything.</b></font>
اَمَّنْ هٰذَا الَّذِىْ هُوَ جُنْدٌ لَّكُمْ يَنْصُرُكُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ الرَّحْمٰنِ‌ؕ اِنِ الْكٰفِرُوْنَ اِلَّا فِىْ غُرُوْرٍ‌ۚ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The unbelievers are only in deception.</b></font>
اَمَّنْ هٰذَا الَّذِىْ يَرْزُقُكُمْ اِنْ اَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهٗ‌ ۚ بَلْ لَّجُّوْا فِىْ عُتُوٍّ وَّنُفُوْرٍ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Or who is it that will give you sustenance if He should withhold His sustenance? Nay! they persist in disdain and aversion.</b></font>
اَفَمَنْ يَّمْشِىْ مُكِبًّا عَلٰى وَجْهِهٖۤ اَهْدٰٓى اَمَّنْ يَّمْشِىْ سَوِيًّا عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) What! is he who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright upon a straight path?</b></font>
قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِىْۤ اَنْشَاَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَ الْاَفْئِدَةَ ‌ ؕ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُوْنَ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks.</b></font>
قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِىْ ذَرَاَكُمْ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَاِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Say: He it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you shall be gathered.</b></font>
وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الْوَعْدُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِيْنَ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) And they say: When shall this threat be (executed) if you are truthful?</b></font>
قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَاِنَّمَاۤ اَنَا نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Say: The knowledge (thereof is only with Allah and I am only a plain warner.</b></font>
فَلَمَّا رَاَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِیْٓئَتْ وُجُوْهُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَقِيْلَ هٰذَا الَّذِىْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تَدَّعُوْنَ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) But when they shall see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve shall be sorry, and it shall be said; This is that which you used to call for.</b></font>
قُلْ اَرَءَيْتُمْ اِنْ اَهْلَكَنِىَ اللّٰهُ وَمَنْ مَّعِىَ اَوْ رَحِمَنَا ۙ فَمَنْ يُّجِيْرُ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) Say: Have you considered if Allah should destroy me and those with me-- rather He will have mercy on us; yet who will protect the unbelievers from a painful punishment?</b></font>
قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ اٰمَنَّا بِهٖ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا‌ۚ فَسَتَعْلَمُوْنَ مَنْ هُوَ فِىْ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيْنٍ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) Say: He is the Beneficent Allah, we believe in Him and on Him do we rely, so you shall come to know who it is that is in clear error.</b></font>
قُلْ اَرَءَيْتُمْ اِنْ اَصْبَحَ مَآؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَنْ يَّاْتِيْكُمْ بِمَآءٍ مَّعِيْنٍ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water?</b></font>
SURAH AL-QALAM (THE PEN)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
نٓ‌ وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُوْنَۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Noon. I swear by the pen and what the angels write,</b></font>
مَاۤ اَنْتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُوْنٍ‌ۚ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) By the grace of your Lord you are not mad.</b></font>
وَاِنَّ لَڪَ لَاَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُوْنٍ‌ۚ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And most surely you shall have a reward never to be cut off.</b></font>
وَاِنَّكَ لَعَلٰى خُلُقٍ عَظِيْمٍ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And most surely you conform (yourself) to sublime morality.</b></font>
فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُوْنَۙ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) So you shall see, and they (too) shall see,</b></font>
بِاَيِّٮكُمُ الْمَفْتُوْنُ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Which of you is afflicted with madness.</b></font>
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِهٖ وَهُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِيْنَ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Surely your Lord best knows him who errs from His way, and He best knows the followers of the right course.</b></font>
فَلَا تُطِعِ الْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) So do not yield to the rejecters.</b></font>
وَدُّوْا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُوْنَ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) They wish that you should be pliant so they (too) would be pliant.</b></font>
وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَّهِيْنٍۙ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And yield not to any mean swearer</b></font>
هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّآءٍۢ بِنَمِيْمٍۙ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Defamer, going about with slander</b></font>
مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ اَثِيْمٍۙ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Forbidder of good, outstepping the limits, sinful,</b></font>
عُتُلٍّ ۢ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ زَنِيْمٍۙ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Ignoble, besides all that, base-born;</b></font>
اَنْ كَانَ ذَا مَالٍ وَّبَنِيْنَؕ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Because he possesses wealth and sons.</b></font>
اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore.</b></font>
سَنَسِمُهٗ عَلَى الْخُرْطُوْمِ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) We will brand him on the nose.</b></font>
اِنَّا بَلَوْنٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَاۤ اَصْحٰبَ الْجَنَّةِ‌ ۚ اِذْ اَقْسَمُوْا لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِيْنَۙ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Surely We will try them as We tried the owners of the garden, when they swore that they would certainly cut off the produce in the morning,</b></font>
وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُوْنَ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And were not willing to set aside a portion (for the poor).</b></font>
فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُوْنَ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Then there encompassed it a visitation from your Lord while they were sleeping.</b></font>
فَاَصْبَحَتْ كَالصَّرِيْمِۙ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) So it became as black, barren land.</b></font>
فَتَنَادَوْا مُصْبِحِيْنَۙ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) And they called out to each other in the morning,</b></font>
اَنِ اغْدُوْا عَلٰى حَرْثِكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰرِمِيْنَ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Saying: Go early to your tilth if you would cut (the produce).</b></font>
فَانْطَلَقُوْا وَهُمْ يَتَخَافَتُوْنَۙ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) So they went, while they consulted together secretly,</b></font>
اَنْ لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّسْكِيْنٌۙ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Saying: No poor man shall enter it today upon you.</b></font>
وَّغَدَوْا عَلٰى حَرْدٍ قٰدِرِيْنَ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) And in the morning they went, having the power to prevent.</b></font>
فَلَمَّا رَاَوْهَا قَالُوْۤا اِنَّا لَضَآلُّوْنَۙ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) But when they saw it, they said: Most surely we have gone astray</b></font>
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُوْمُوْنَ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) Nay! we are made to suffer privation.</b></font>
قَالَ اَوْسَطُهُمْ اَلَمْ اَقُلْ لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُوْنَ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) The best of them said: Did I not say to you, Why do you not glorify (Allah)?</b></font>
قَالُوْا سُبْحٰنَ رَبِّنَاۤ اِنَّا كُنَّا ظٰلِمِيْنَ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) They said: Glory be to our Lord, surely we were unjust.</b></font>
فَاَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلٰى بَعْضٍ يَّتَلَاوَمُوْنَ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) Then some of them advanced against others, blaming each other.</b></font>
قَالُوْا يٰوَيْلَنَاۤ اِنَّا كُنَّا طٰغِيْنَ‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) Said they: O woe to us! surely we were inordinate:</b></font>
عَسٰى رَبُّنَاۤ اَنْ يُّبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًا مِّنْهَاۤ اِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا رٰغِبُوْنَ‏(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) Maybe, our Lord will give us instead one better than it; surely to our Lord do we make our humble petition.</b></font>
كَذٰلِكَ الْعَذَابُ‌ؕ وَلَعَذَابُ الْاٰخِرَةِ اَكْبَرُ ‌ۘ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ‏(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) Such is the chastisement, and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is greater, did they but know!</b></font>
اِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّٰتِ النَّعِيْمِ‏(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) Surely those who guard (against evil) shall have with their Lord gardens of bliss.</b></font>
اَفَنَجْعَلُ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ كَالْمُجْرِمِيْنَؕ‏(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty?</b></font>
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) What has happened to you? How do you judge?</b></font>
اَمْ لَكُمْ كِتٰبٌ فِيْهِ تَدْرُسُوْنَۙ‏(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) Or have you a book wherein you read,</b></font>
اِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيْهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) That you have surely therein what you choose?</b></font>
اَمْ لَكُمْ اَيْمَانٌ عَلَيْنَا بَالِغَةٌ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ‌ ۙ اِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) Or have you received from Us an agreement confirmed by an oathextending to the day of resurrection that you shall surely have what you demand?</b></font>
سَلْهُمْ اَيُّهُمْ بِذٰلِكَ زَعِيْمٌ ۛۚ‏(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) Ask them which of them will vouch for that,</b></font>
اَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ ۛۚ فَلْيَاْتُوْا بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ اِنْ كَانُوْا صٰدِقِيْنَ‏(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) Or have they associates if they are truthful.</b></font>
يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ وَّيُدْعَوْنَ اِلَى السُّجُوْدِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَۙ‏(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able,</b></font>
خَاشِعَةً اَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ؕ وَقَدْ كَانُوْا يُدْعَوْنَ اِلَى السُّجُوْدِ وَهُمْ سٰلِمُوْنَ‏(43)
<font color="000000"><b>(43) Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe.</b></font>
فَذَرْنِىْ وَمَنْ يُّكَذِّبُ بِهٰذَا الْحَدِيْثِ‌ؕ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُمْ مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَۙ‏(44)
<font color="000000"><b>(44) So leave Me and him who rejects this announcement; We will overtake them by degrees, from whence they perceive not:</b></font>
وَاُمْلِىْ لَهُمْ‌ؕ اِنَّ كَيْدِىْ مَتِيْنٌ‏(45)
<font color="000000"><b>(45) And I do bear with them, surely My plan is firm.</b></font>
اَمْ تَسْئَلُهُمْ اَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِّنْ مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(46)
<font color="000000"><b>(46) Or do you ask from them a reward, so that they are burdened with debt?</b></font>
اَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُوْنَ‏(47)
<font color="000000"><b>(47) Or have they (the knowledge of) the unseen, so that they write (it) down?</b></font>
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوْتِ‌ۘ اِذْ نَادٰى وَهُوَ مَكْظُوْمٌؕ‏(48)
<font color="000000"><b>(48) So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress.</b></font>
لَوْلَاۤ اَنْ تَدٰرَكَهٗ نِعْمَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّهٖ لَنُبِذَ بِالْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُوْمٌ‏(49)
<font color="000000"><b>(49) Were it not that favor from his Lord had overtaken him, he would certainly have been cast down upon the naked Found while he was blamed.</b></font>
فَاجْتَبٰهُ رَبُّهٗ فَجَعَلَهٗ مِنَ الصّٰلِحِيْنَ‏(50)
<font color="000000"><b>(50) Then his Lord chose him, and He made him of the good.</b></font>
وَاِنْ يَّكَادُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لَيُزْلِقُوْنَكَ بِاَبْصَارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ اِنَّهٗ لَمَجْنُوْنٌ‌ۘ‏(51)
<font color="000000"><b>(51) And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad.</b></font>
وَمَا هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ‏(52)
<font color="000000"><b>(52) And it is naught but a reminder to the nations.</b></font>
SURAH AL-HAQQAH (THE SURE CALAMITY)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَلْحَآقَّةُ ۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) The sure calamity!</b></font>
مَا الْحَآقَّةُ‌ ۚ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) What is the sure calamity!</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْحَآقَّةُ ؕ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is!</b></font>
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ وَعَادٌۢ بِالْقَارِعَةِ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie.</b></font>
فَاَمَّا ثَمُوْدُ فَاُهْلِكُوْا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment.</b></font>
وَاَمَّا عَادٌ فَاُهْلِكُوْا بِرِيْحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۙ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast.</b></font>
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَّثَمٰنِيَةَ اَيَّامٍۙ حُسُوْمًا ۙ فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيْهَا صَرْعٰىۙ كَاَنَّهُمْ اَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ‌ ۚ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms.</b></font>
فَهَلْ تَرٰى لَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَاقِيَةٍ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Do you then see of them one remaining?</b></font>
وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهٗ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكٰتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ‌ۚ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins.</b></font>
فَعَصَوْا رَسُوْلَ رَبِّهِمْ فَاَخَذَهُمْ اَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And they disobeyed the Apostle of their Lord, so He punished them with a vehement punishment.</b></font>
اِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا الْمَآءُ حَمَلْنٰكُمْ فِى الْجَارِيَةِ ۙ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high,</b></font>
لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَّتَعِيَهَاۤ اُذُنٌ وَّاعِيَةٌ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it.</b></font>
فَاِذَا نُفِخَ فِى الصُّوْرِ نَفْخَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ ۙ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast,</b></font>
وَحُمِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ وَ الْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَّاحِدَةً ۙ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And the earth and the mountains are borne away and crushed with a single crushing.</b></font>
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَّقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ ۙ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) On that day shall the great event come to pass,</b></font>
وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَّاهِيَةٌ ۙ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And the heaven shall cleave asunder, so that on that day it shall be frail,</b></font>
وَّالْمَلَكُ عَلٰٓى اَرْجَآئِهَا ‌ؕ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمٰنِيَةٌ ؕ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power.</b></font>
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُوْنَ لَا تَخْفٰى مِنْكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden.</b></font>
فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيْنِهٖۙ فَيَقُوْلُ هَآؤُمُ اقْرَءُوْا كِتٰبِيَهْ‌ۚ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book:</b></font>
اِنِّىْ ظَنَنْتُ اَنِّىْ مُلٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ‌ۚ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Surely I knew that I shall meet my account.</b></font>
فَهُوَ فِىْ عِيْشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍۙ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) So he shall be in a life of pleasure,</b></font>
فِىْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۙ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) In a lofty garden,</b></font>
قُطُوْفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) The fruits of which are near at hand:</b></font>
كُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا هَنِيْٓئًا ۢ بِمَاۤ اَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى الْاَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by.</b></font>
وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِشِمَالِهٖ ۙ فَيَقُوْلُ يٰلَيْتَنِىْ لَمْ اُوْتَ كِتٰبِيَهْ‌ۚ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he shall say: O would that my book had never been given me:</b></font>
وَلَمْ اَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ‌ۚ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) And I had not known what my account was:</b></font>
يٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ‌ ۚ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) O would that it had made an end (of me):</b></font>
مَاۤ اَغْنٰى عَنِّىْ مَالِيَهْۚ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) My wealth has availed me nothing:</b></font>
هَلَكَ عَنِّىْ سُلْطٰنِيَهْ‌ۚ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) My authority is gone away from me.</b></font>
خُذُوْهُ فَغُلُّوْهُ ۙ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him,</b></font>
ثُمَّ الْجَحِيْمَ صَلُّوْهُ ۙ‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) Then cast him into the burning fire,</b></font>
ثُمَّ فِىْ سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُوْنَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوْهُ ؕ‏(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ الْعَظِيْمِۙ‏(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great,</b></font>
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِؕ‏(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor.</b></font>
فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هٰهُنَا حَمِيْمٌۙ‏(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) Therefore he has not here today a true friend,</b></font>
وَّلَا طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِيْنٍۙ‏(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) Nor any food except refuse,</b></font>
لَّا يَاْكُلُهٗۤ اِلَّا الْخٰطِئُوْنَ‏(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) Which none but the wrongdoers eat.</b></font>
فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُوْنَۙ‏(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) But nay! I swear by that which you see,</b></font>
وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُوْنَۙ‏(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) And that which you do not see.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍۚ ۙ‏(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle,</b></font>
وَّمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ‌ؕ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ‏(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe;</b></font>
وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ‌ؕ قَلِيْلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُوْنَؕ‏(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind.</b></font>
تَنْزِيْلٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ‏(43)
<font color="000000"><b>(43) It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.</b></font>
وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْاَقَاوِيْلِۙ‏(44)
<font color="000000"><b>(44) And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings,</b></font>
لَاَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِيْنِۙ‏(45)
<font color="000000"><b>(45) We would certainly have seized him by the right hand,</b></font>
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِيْنَ ۖ‏(46)
<font color="000000"><b>(46) Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta.</b></font>
فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِّنْ اَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِيْنَ‏(47)
<font color="000000"><b>(47) And not one of you could have withheld Us from him.</b></font>
وَاِنَّهٗ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِّلْمُتَّقِيْنَ‏(48)
<font color="000000"><b>(48) And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).</b></font>
وَاِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ اَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُّكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(49)
<font color="000000"><b>(49) And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters.</b></font>
وَاِنَّهٗ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكٰفِرِيْنَ‏(50)
<font color="000000"><b>(50) And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers.</b></font>
وَاِنَّهٗ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِيْنِ‏(51)
<font color="000000"><b>(51) And most surely it is the true certainty</b></font>
فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيْمِ‏(52)
<font color="000000"><b>(52) Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.</b></font>
SURAH AL-MA’ARIJ (THE WAYS OF ASCENT)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
سَاَلَ سَآئِلٌ ۢ بِعَذَابٍ وَّاقِعٍۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) One demanding, demanded the chastisement which must befall</b></font>
لِّلْكٰفِرِيْنَ لَيْسَ لَهٗ دَافِعٌ ۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) The unbelievers-- there is none to avert it--</b></font>
مِّنَ اللّٰهِ ذِى الْمَعَارِجِؕ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) From Allah, the Lord of the ways of Ascent.</b></font>
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ وَ الرُّوْحُ اِلَيْهِ فِىْ يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهٗ خَمْسِيْنَ اَلْفَ سَنَةٍ‌ۚ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) To Him ascend the angels and the Spirit in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years.</b></font>
فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيْلًا‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Therefore endure with a goodly patience.</b></font>
اِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهٗ بَعِيْدًا ۙ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Surely they think it to be far off,</b></font>
وَّنَرٰٮهُ قَرِيْبًا ؕ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And We see it nigh.</b></font>
يَوْمَ تَكُوْنُ السَّمَآءُ كَالْمُهْلِۙ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) On the day when the heaven shall be as molten copper</b></font>
وَتَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِۙ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And the mountains shall be as tufts of wool</b></font>
وَلَا يَسْئَلُ حَمِيْمٌ حَمِيْمًا ۖۚ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And friend shall not ask of friend</b></font>
يُّبَصَّرُوْنَهُمْ‌ؕ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِىْ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍۢ بِبَنِيْهِۙ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) (Though) they shall be made to see each other. The guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children,</b></font>
وَ صَاحِبَتِهٖ وَاَخِيْهِۙ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And his wife and his brother</b></font>
وَفَصِيْلَتِهِ الَّتِىْ تُئْوِيْهِۙ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And the nearest of his kinsfolk who gave him shelter,</b></font>
وَمَنْ فِى الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا ۙ ثُمَّ يُنْجِيْهِۙ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And all those that are in the earth, (wishing) then (that) this might deliver him.</b></font>
كَلَّاؕ اِنَّهَا لَظٰىۙ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) By no means! Surely it is a flaming fire</b></font>
نَزَّاعَةً لِّلشَّوٰى‌ ۖ‌ۚ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Dragging by the head,</b></font>
تَدْعُوْا مَنْ اَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلّٰىۙ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) It shall claim him who turned and fled (from truth),</b></font>
وَجَمَعَ فَاَوْعٰى‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And amasses (wealth) then shuts it up.</b></font>
اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوْعًا ۙ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Surely man is created of a hasty temperament</b></font>
اِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوْعًا ۙ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Being greatly grieved when evil afflicts him</b></font>
وَاِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوْعًا ۙ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) And niggardly when good befalls him</b></font>
اِلَّا الْمُصَلِّيْنَۙ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Except those who pray,</b></font>
الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَلٰى صَلَاتِهِمْ دَآئِمُوْنَۙ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Those who are constant at their prayer</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ فِىْۤ اَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَّعْلُوْمٌۙ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) And those in whose wealth there is a fixed portion.</b></font>
لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَالْمَحْرُوْمِۙ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) For him who begs and for him who is denied (good)</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ يُصَدِّقُوْنَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّيْنِۙ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) And those who accept the truth of the Judgement day</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِمْ مُّشْفِقُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) And those who are fearful of the chastisement of their Lord--</b></font>
اِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَاْمُوْنٍ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) Surely the chastisement of their Lord is (a thing) not to be felt secure of--</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِفُرُوْجِهِمْ حٰفِظُوْنَۙ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) And those who guard their private parts,</b></font>
اِلَّا عَلٰٓى اَزْوَاجِهِمْ اَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ اَيْمَانُهُمْ فَاِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُوْمِيْنَ‌ۚ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) Except in the case of their wives or those whom their right hands possess-- for these surely are not to be blamed,</b></font>
فَمَنِ ابْتَغٰى وَرَآءَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْعٰدُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) But he who seeks to go beyond this, these it is that go beyond the limits--</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ لِاَمٰنٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رٰعُوْنَ ۙ‏(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) And those who are faithful to their trusts and their covenant</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ بِشَهٰدٰتِهِمْ قَآئِمُوْنَ ۙ‏(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) And those who are upright in their testimonies,</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَلٰى صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُوْنَؕ‏(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) And those who keep a guard on their prayer,</b></font>
اُولٰٓئِكَ فِىْ جَنّٰتٍ مُّكْرَمُوْنَؕ‏(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) Those shall be in gardens, honored.</b></font>
فَمَالِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِيْنَۙ‏(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) But what is the matter with those who disbelieve that they hasten on around you,</b></font>
عَنِ الْيَمِيْنِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِيْنَ‏(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) On the right hand and on the left, in sundry parties?</b></font>
اَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِىءٍ مِّنْهُمْ اَنْ يُّدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيْمٍۙ‏(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss?</b></font>
كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّا خَلَقْنٰهُمْ مِّمَّا يَعْلَمُوْنَ‏(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) By no means! Surely We have created them of what they know.</b></font>
فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشٰرِقِ وَالْمَغٰرِبِ اِنَّا لَقٰدِرُوْنَۙ‏(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able</b></font>
عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُّبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْۙ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوْقِيْنَ‏(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) To bring instead (others) better than them, and We shall not be overcome.</b></font>
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوْضُوْا وَيَلْعَبُوْا حَتّٰى يُلٰقُوْا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِىْ يُوْعَدُوْنَۙ‏(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) Therefore leave them alone to go on with the false discourses and to sport until they come face to face with that day of theirs with which they are threatened;</b></font>
يَوْمَ يَخْرُجُوْنَ مِنَ الْاَجْدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَاَنَّهُمْ اِلٰى نُصُبٍ يُّوْفِضُوْنَۙ‏(43)
<font color="000000"><b>(43) The day on which they shall come forth from their graves in haste, as if they were hastening on to a goal,</b></font>
خَاشِعَةً اَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ؕ ذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِىْ كَانُوْا يُوْعَدُوْنَ‏(44)
<font color="000000"><b>(44) Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the day which they were threatened with.</b></font>
SURAH NUH
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا اِلٰى قَوْمِهٖۤ اَنْ اَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ يَّاْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَلِيْمٌ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Surely We sent Nuh to his people, saying: Warn your people before there come upon them a painful chastisement.</b></font>
قَالَ يٰقَوْمِ اِنِّىْ لَكُمْ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) He said: O my people! Surely I am a plain warner to you:</b></font>
اَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ وَاتَّقُوْهُ وَاَطِيْعُوْنِۙ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) That you should serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him and obey me:</b></font>
يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ مِّنْ ذُنُوْبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى‌ؕ اِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ اِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ‌‌ۘ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) He will forgive you some of your faults and grant you a delay to an appointed term; surely the term of Allah when it comes is not postponed; did you but know!</b></font>
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّىْ دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِىْ لَيْلًا وَّنَهَارًا ۙ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) He said: O my Lord! surely I have called my people by night and by day!</b></font>
فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُمْ دُعَآءِىْۤ اِلَّا فِرَارًا‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) But my call has only made them flee the more:</b></font>
وَاِنِّىْ كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوْۤا اَصَابِعَهُمْ فِىْۤ اٰذَانِهِمْ وَاسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ وَاَصَرُّوْا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا اسْتِكْبَارًا‌ ۚ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And whenever I have called them that Thou mayest forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, cover themselves with their garments, and persist and are puffed up with pride:</b></font>
ثُمَّ اِنِّىْ دَعَوْتُهُمْ جِهَارًا ۙ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Then surely I called to them aloud:</b></font>
ثُمَّ اِنِّىْۤ اَعْلَنْتُ لَهُمْ وَاَسْرَرْتُ لَهُمْ اِسْرَارًا ۙ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Then surely I spoke to them in public and I spoke to them in secret:</b></font>
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّكُمْؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ غَفَّارًا ۙ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) Then I said, Ask forgiveness of your Lord, surely He is the most Forgiving:</b></font>
يُّرْسِلِ السَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّدْرَارًا ۙ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) He will send down upon you the cloud, pouring down abundance of rain:</b></font>
وَّيُمْدِدْكُمْ بِاَمْوَالٍ وَّبَنِيْنَ وَيَجْعَلْ لَّكُمْ جَنّٰتٍ وَّيَجْعَلْ لَّكُمْ اَنْهٰرًا ؕ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And help you with wealth and sons, and make for you gardens, and make for you rivers.</b></font>
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَرْجُوْنَ لِلّٰهِ وَقَارًا‌ ۚ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) What is the matter with you that you fear not the greatness of Allah?</b></font>
وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ اَطْوَارًا‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And indeed He has created you through various grades:</b></font>
اَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ سَبْعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًا ۙ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens, one above another,</b></font>
وَّجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيْهِنَّ نُوْرًا ۙ وَّجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp?</b></font>
وَاللّٰهُ اَنْۢبَتَكُمْ مِّنَ الْاَرْضِ نَبَاتًا ۙ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And Allah has made you grow out of the earth as a growth:</b></font>
ثُمَّ يُعِيْدُكُمْ فِيْهَا وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ اِخْرَاجًا‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Then He returns you to it, then will He bring you forth a (new) bringing forth:</b></font>
وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْاَرْضَ بِسَاطًا ۙ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse,</b></font>
لِّتَسْلُكُوْا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) That you may go along therein in wide paths.</b></font>
قَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ اِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِىْ وَاتَّبَعُوْا مَنْ لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهٗ وَوَلَدُهٗۤ اِلَّا خَسَارًا‌ ۚ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Nuh said: My Lord! surely they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children have added to him nothing but loss.</b></font>
وَمَكَرُوْا مَكْرًا كُبَّارًا‌ ۚ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) And they have planned a very great plan.</b></font>
وَ قَالُوْا لَا تَذَرُنَّ اٰلِهَتَكُمْ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَّلَا سُوَاعًا  ۙ وَّ لَا يَغُوْثَ وَيَعُوْقَ وَنَسْرًا‌ ۚ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) And they say: By no means leave your gods, nor leave Wadd, nor Suwa; nor Yaghus, and Yauq and Nasr.</b></font>
وَقَدْ اَضَلُّوْا كَثِيْرًا‌  ۚ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ اِلَّا ضَلٰلًا‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) And indeed they have led astray many, and do not increase the unjust in aught but error.</b></font>
مِّمَّا خَطِٓيْئٰتِهِمْ اُغْرِقُوْا فَاُدْخِلُوْا نَارًا  ۙ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوْا لَهُمْ مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللّٰهِ اَنْصَارًا‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Because of their wrongs they were drowned, then made to enter fire, so they did not find any helpers besides Allah.</b></font>
وَ قَالَ نُوْحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرْ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ مِنَ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ دَيَّارًا‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) And Nuh said: My Lord! leave not upon the land any dweller from among the unbelievers:</b></font>
اِنَّكَ اِنْ تَذَرْهُمْ يُضِلُّوْا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوْۤا اِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) For surely if Thou leave them they will lead astray Thy servants, and will not beget any but immoral, ungrateful (children)</b></font>
رَبِّ اغْفِرْلِىْ وَلِوَالِدَىَّ وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِىَ مُؤْمِنًا وَّلِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنٰتِؕ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِيْنَ اِلَّا تَبَارًا‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the unjust in aught but destruction!</b></font>
SURAH AL-JINN
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
قُلْ اُوْحِىَ اِلَىَّ اَنَّهُ اسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَقَالُوْۤا اِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْاٰنًاعَجَبًا ۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran,</b></font>
يَّهْدِىْۤ اِلَى الرُّشْدِ فَاٰمَنَّا بِهٖ‌ ؕ وَلَنْ نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَاۤ اَحَدًا ۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Guiding to the right way, so we believe in it, and we will not set up any one with our Lord:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّهٗ تَعٰلٰى جَدُّ رَبِّنَا مَا اتَّخَذَ صَاحِبَةً وَّلَا وَلَدًا ۙ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And that He-- exalted be the majesty of our Lord-- has not taken a consort, nor a son:</b></font>
وَّ اَنَّهٗ كَانَ يَقُوْلُ سَفِيْهُنَا عَلَى اللّٰهِ شَطَطًا ۙ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And that the foolish amongst us used to forge extravagant things against Allah:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا ظَنَنَّاۤ اَنْ لَّنْ تَقُوْلَ الْاِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِبًا ۙ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّهٗ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِّنَ الْاِنْسِ يَعُوْذُوْنَ بِرِجَالٍ مِّنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوْهُمْ رَهَقًا ۙ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّهُمْ ظَنُّوْا كَمَا ظَنَنْتُمْ اَنْ لَّنْ يَّبْعَثَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدًا ۙ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And that they thought as you think, that Allah would not raise anyone:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا لَمَسْنَا السَّمَآءَ فَوَجَدْنٰهَا مُلِئَتْ حَرَسًا شَدِيْدًا وَّشُهُبًا ۙ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And that we sought to reach heaven, but we found it filled with strong guards and flaming stars.</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَاعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ‌ ؕ فَمَنْ يَّسْتَمِعِ الْاٰنَ يَجِدْ لَهٗ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا ۙ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And that we used to sit in some of the sitting-places thereof to steal a hearing, but he who would (try to) listen now would find a flame lying in wait for him:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا لَا نَدْرِىْۤ اَشَرٌّ اُرِيْدَ بِمَنْ فِى الْاَرْضِ اَمْ اَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًا ۙ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا مِنَّا الصّٰلِحُوْنَ وَمِنَّا دُوْنَ ذٰلِكَ‌ؕ كُنَّا طَرَآئِقَ قِدَدًا ۙ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And that some of us are good and others of us are below that: we are sects following different ways:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا ظَنَنَّاۤ اَنْ لَّنْ نُّعْجِزَ اللّٰهَ فِى الْاَرْضِ وَلَنْ نُّعْجِزَهٗ هَرَبًا ۙ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And that we know that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا الْهُدٰٓى اٰمَنَّا بِهٖ‌ ؕ فَمَنْ يُّؤْمِنْۢ بِرَبِّهٖ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَّلَا رَهَقًا ۙ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And that when we heard the guidance, we believed in it; so whoever believes in his Lord, he should neither fear loss nor being overtaken (by disgrace):</b></font>
وَّاَنَّا مِنَّا الْمُسْلِمُوْنَ وَمِنَّا الْقٰسِطُوْنَ‌ؕ فَمَنْ اَسْلَمَ فَاُولٰٓئِكَ تَحَرَّوْا رَشَدًا‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And that some of us are those who submit, and some of us are the deviators; so whoever submits, these aim at the right way:</b></font>
وَاَمَّا الْقٰسِطُوْنَ فَكَانُوْا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا ۙ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And as to the deviators, they are fuel of hell:</b></font>
وَّاَنْ لَّوِ اسْتَقَامُوْا عَلَى الطَّرِيْقَةِ لَاَسْقَيْنٰهُمْ مَّآءً غَدَقًا ۙ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And that if they should keep to the (right) way, We would certainly give them to drink of abundant water,</b></font>
لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيْهِ‌ ؕ وَمَنْ يُّعْرِضْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّهٖ يَسْلُكْهُ عَذَابًا صَعَدًا ۙ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّ الْمَسٰجِدَ لِلّٰهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوْا مَعَ اللّٰهِ اَحَدًا ۙ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And that the mosques are Allah's, therefore call not upon any one with Allah:</b></font>
وَّاَنَّهٗ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللّٰهِ يَدْعُوْهُ كَادُوْا يَكُوْنُوْنَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا ؕ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death).</b></font>
قُلْ اِنَّمَاۤ اَدْعُوْا رَبِّىْ وَلَاۤ اُشْرِكُ بِهٖۤ اَحَدًا‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Say: I only call upon my Lord, and I do not associate any one with Him.</b></font>
قُلْ اِنِّىْ لَاۤ اَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَّلَا رَشَدًا‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Say: I do not control for you evil or good.</b></font>
قُلْ اِنِّىْ لَنْ يُّجِيْرَنِىْ مِنَ اللّٰهِ اَحَدٌ  ۙ وَّلَنْ اَجِدَ مِنْ دُوْنِهٖ مُلْتَحَدًا ۙ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Say: Surely no one can protect me against Allah, nor can I find besides Him any place of refuge:</b></font>
اِلَّا بَلٰغًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرِسٰلٰتِهٖ‌ ؕ وَمَنْ يَّعْصِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوْلَهٗ فَاِنَّ لَهٗ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَاۤ اَبَدًا ؕ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) (It is) only a delivering (of communications) from Allah and His messages; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Apostle surely he shall have the fire of hell to abide therein for a long time.</b></font>
حَتّٰٓى اِذَا رَاَوْا مَا يُوْعَدُوْنَ فَسَيَعْلَمُوْنَ مَنْ اَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَّاَقَلُّ عَدَدًا‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Until when they see what they are threatened with, then shall they know who is weaker in helpers and fewer in number.</b></font>
قُلْ اِنْ اَدْرِىْۤ اَقَرِيْبٌ مَّا تُوْعَدُوْنَ اَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهٗ رَبِّىْۤ اَمَدًا‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Say: I do not know whether that with which you are threatened be nigh or whether my Lord will appoint for it a term:</b></font>
عٰلِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلٰى غَيْبِهٖۤ اَحَدًا ۙ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) The Knower of the unseen! so He does not reveal His secrets to any,</b></font>
اِلَّا مَنِ ارْتَضٰى مِنْ رَّسُوْلٍ فَاِنَّهٗ يَسْلُكُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهٖ رَصَدًا ۙ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) Except to him whom He chooses as an apostle; for surely He makes a guard to march before him and after him,</b></font>
لِّيَعْلَمَ اَنْ قَدْ اَبْلَغُوْا رِسٰلٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَاَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ وَاَحْصٰى كُلَّ شَىْءٍ عَدَدًا‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) So that He may know that they have truly delivered the messages of their Lord, and He encompasses what is with them and He records the number of all things.</b></font>
SURAH AL-MUZAMMIL (THE WRAPPED)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) O you who have wrapped up in your garments!</b></font>
قُمِ الَّيْلَ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا ۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Rise to pray in the night except a little,</b></font>
نِّصْفَهٗۤ اَوِ انْقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيْلًا ۙ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Half of it, or lessen it a little,</b></font>
اَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَرْتِيْلًا ؕ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Or add to it, and recite the Quran as it ought to be recited.</b></font>
اِنَّا سَنُلْقِىْ عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيْلًا‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Surely We will make to light upon you a weighty Word.</b></font>
اِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ الَّيْلِ هِىَ اَشَدُّ وَطْاً وَّاَقْوَمُ قِيْلًا ؕ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech.</b></font>
اِنَّ لَكَ فِى النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيْلًا ؕ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Surely you have in the day time a long occupation.</b></font>
وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلْ اِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيْلًا ؕ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with (exclusive) devotion.</b></font>
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيْلًا‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) The Lord of the East and the West-- there is no god but He-- therefore take Him for a protector.</b></font>
وَاصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيْلًا‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And bear patiently what they say and avoid them with a becoming avoidance.</b></font>
وَذَرْنِىْ وَالْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ اُولِى النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيْلًا‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And leave Me and the rejecters, the possessors of ease and plenty, and respite them a little.</b></font>
اِنَّ لَدَيْنَاۤ اَنْكَالًا وَّجَحِيْمًا ۙ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Surely with Us are heavy fetters and a flaming fire,</b></font>
وَّطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَّعَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And food that chokes and a painful punishment,</b></font>
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الْاَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الْجِبَالُ كَثِيْبًا مَّهِيْلًا‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) On the day when the earth and the mountains shall quake and the mountains shall become (as) heaps of sand let loose.</b></font>
اِنَّاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلَيْكُمْ رَسُوْلًا ۙ شَاهِدًا عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَاۤ اَرْسَلْنَاۤ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ رَسُوْلًا ؕ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Surely We have sent to you an Apostle, a witness against you, as We sent an apostle to Firon.</b></font>
فَعَصٰى فِرْعَوْنُ الرَّسُوْلَ فَاَخَذْنٰهُ اَخْذًا وَّبِيْلًا‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) But Firon disobeyed the apostle, so We laid on him a violent hold.</b></font>
فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُوْنَ اِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَّجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيْبَا  ۖ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) How, then, will you guard yourselves, if you disbelieve, on the day which shall make children grey-headed?</b></font>
۟السَّمَآءُ مُنْفَطِرٌ ۢ بِهٖ‌ؕ كَانَ وَعْدُهٗ مَفْعُوْلًا‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) The heaven shall rend asunder thereby; His promise is ever brought to fulfillment.</b></font>
اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذْكِرَةٌ ‌ ۚ فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Surely this is a reminder, then let him, who will take the way to his Lord.</b></font>
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَعْلَمُ اَنَّكَ تَقُوْمُ اَدْنىٰ مِنْ ثُلُثَىِ الَّيْلِ وَ نِصْفَهٗ وَثُلُثَهٗ وَطَآئِفَةٌ مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ مَعَكَ‌ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يُقَدِّرُ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ‌ؕ عَلِمَ اَنْ لَّنْ تُحْصُوْهُ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ‌ فَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ‌ؕ عَلِمَ اَنْ سَيَكُوْنُ مِنْكُمْ مَّرْضٰى‌ۙ وَاٰخَرُوْنَ يَضْرِبُوْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِ يَبْتَغُوْنَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰهِ‌ۙ وَاٰخَرُوْنَ يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِىْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ ۖ فَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُ‌ ۙ وَاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَقْرِضُوا اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا‌ ؕ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوْا لِاَنْفُسِكُمْ مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوْهُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَّاَعْظَمَ اَجْرًا‌ ؕ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللّٰهَ ‌ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Surely your Lord knows that you pass in prayer nearly two-thirds of the night, and (sometimes) half of it, and (sometimes) a third of it, and (also) a party of those with you; and Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are not able to do it, so He has turned to you (mercifully), therefore read what is easy of the Quran. He knows that there must be among you sick, and others who travel in the land seeking of the bounty of Allah, and others who fight in Allah's way, therefore read as much of it as is easy (to you), and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and offer to Allah a goodly gift, and whatever of good you send on beforehand for yourselves, you will find it with Allah; that is best and greatest in reward; and ask forgiveness of Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.</b></font>
SURAH AL-MUDATHIR (THE CLOTHED ONE)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) O you who are clothed!</b></font>
قُمْ فَاَنْذِرْۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Arise and warn,</b></font>
وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْۙ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And your Lord do magnify,</b></font>
وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْۙ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And your garments do purify,</b></font>
وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرْۙ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And uncleanness do shun,</b></font>
وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُۙ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And bestow not favors that you may receive again with increase,</b></font>
وَ لِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْؕ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And for the sake of your Lord, be patient.</b></font>
فَاِذَا نُقِرَ فِى النَّاقُوْرِۙ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) For when the trumpet is sounded,</b></font>
فَذٰلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّوْمٌ عَسِيْرٌۙ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) That, at that time, shall be a difficult day,</b></font>
عَلَى الْكٰفِرِيْنَ غَيْرُ يَسِيْرٍ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) For the unbelievers, anything but easy.</b></font>
ذَرْنِىْ وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيْدًا ۙ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Leave Me and him whom I created alone,</b></font>
وَّجَعَلْتُ لَهٗ مَالًا مَّمْدُوْدًا ۙ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And give him vast riches,</b></font>
وَّبَنِيْنَ شُهُوْدًا ۙ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And sons dwelling in his presence,</b></font>
وَّمَهَّدتُّ لَهٗ تَمْهِيْدًا ۙ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably;</b></font>
ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ اَنْ اَزِيْدَ  ۙ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And yet he desires that I should add more!</b></font>
كَلَّا ؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ لِاٰيٰتِنَا عَنِيْدًا ؕ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications.</b></font>
سَاُرْهِقُهٗ صَعُوْدًا ؕ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) I will make a distressing punishment overtake him.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَۙ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Surely he reflected and guessed,</b></font>
فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَۙ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) But may he be cursed how he plotted;</b></font>
ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَۙ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Again, may he be cursed how he plotted;</b></font>
ثُمَّ نَظَرَۙ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Then he looked,</b></font>
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَۙ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Then he frowned and scowled,</b></font>
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَۙ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Then he turned back and was big with pride,</b></font>
فَقَالَ اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُّؤْثَرُۙ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) ~Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others);</b></font>
اِنْ هٰذَاۤ اِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِؕ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) This is naught but the word of a mortal.</b></font>
سَاُصْلِيْهِ سَقَرَ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) I will cast him into hell.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا سَقَرُؕ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) And what will make you realize what hell is?</b></font>
لَا تُبْقِىْ وَ لَا تَذَرُ‌ۚ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) It leaves naught nor does it spare aught.</b></font>
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِّلْبَشَرِ‌ۖ‌ۚ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) It scorches the mortal.</b></font>
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَؕ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) Over it are nineteen.</b></font>
وَمَا جَعَلْنَاۤ اَصْحٰبَ النَّارِ اِلَّا مَلٰٓئِكَةً‌ وَّمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ اِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا ۙ لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْۤا اِيْمَانًا‌ وَّلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ‌ۙ وَلِيَقُوْلَ الَّذِيْنَ فِىْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ وَّالْكٰفِرُوْنَ مَاذَاۤ اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلًا ‌ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ وَيَهْدِىْ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ ‌ؕ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُوْدَ رَبِّكَ اِلَّا هُوَ ‌ؕ وَمَا هِىَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٰى لِلْبَشَرِ‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals.</b></font>
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِۙ‏(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) Nay; I swear by the moon,</b></font>
وَالَّيْلِ اِذْ اَدْبَرَۙ‏(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) And the night when it departs,</b></font>
وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَاۤ اَسْفَرَۙ‏(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) And the daybreak when it shines;</b></font>
اِنَّهَا لَاِحْدَى الْكُبَرِۙ‏(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes),</b></font>
نَذِيْرًا لِّلْبَشَرِۙ‏(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) A warning to mortals,</b></font>
لِمَنْ شَآءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَّتَقَدَّمَ اَوْ يَتَاَخَّرَؕ‏(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind.</b></font>
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ۢ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهِيْنَةٌ ۙ‏(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns,</b></font>
اِلَّاۤ اَصْحٰبَ الْيَمِيْنِۛ ؕ‏(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) Except the people of the right hand,</b></font>
فِىْ جَنّٰتٍ ۛ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَۙ‏(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) In gardens, they shall ask each other</b></font>
عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَۙ‏(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) About the guilty:</b></font>
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِىْ سَقَرَ‏(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) What has brought you into hell?</b></font>
قَالُوْا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّيْنَۙ‏(43)
<font color="000000"><b>(43) They shall say: We were not of those who prayed;</b></font>
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِيْنَۙ‏(44)
<font color="000000"><b>(44) And we used not to feed the poor;</b></font>
وَكُنَّا نَخُوْضُ مَعَ الْخَآئِضِيْنَۙ‏(45)
<font color="000000"><b>(45) And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses.</b></font>
وَ كُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّيْنِۙ‏(46)
<font color="000000"><b>(46) And we used to call the day of Judgement a lie;</b></font>
حَتّٰٓى اَتٰٮنَا الْيَقِيْنُؕ‏(47)
<font color="000000"><b>(47) Till death overtook us.</b></font>
فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشّٰفِعِيْنَؕ‏(48)
<font color="000000"><b>(48) So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them.</b></font>
فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِيْنَۙ‏(49)
<font color="000000"><b>(49) What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition</b></font>
كَاَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنْفِرَةٌ ۙ‏(50)
<font color="000000"><b>(50) As if they were asses taking fright</b></font>
فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍ ؕ‏(51)
<font color="000000"><b>(51) That had fled from a lion?</b></font>
بَلْ يُرِيْدُ كُلُّ امْرِىٴٍ مِّنْهُمْ اَنْ يُّؤْتٰى صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً ۙ‏(52)
<font color="000000"><b>(52) Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out;</b></font>
كَلَّا ‌ؕ بَلْ لَّا يَخَافُوْنَ الْاٰخِرَةَ ؕ‏(53)
<font color="000000"><b>(53) Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهٗ تَذْكِرَةٌ‌ ۚ‏(54)
<font color="000000"><b>(54) Nay! it is surely an admonition.</b></font>
فَمَنْ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗ ؕ‏(55)
<font color="000000"><b>(55) So whoever pleases may mind it.</b></font>
وَمَا يَذْكُرُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ‌ ؕ هُوَ اَهْلُ التَّقْوٰى وَاَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ‏(56)
<font color="000000"><b>(56) And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive.</b></font>
SURAH AL-QIYAMAH (THE RESURRECTION)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
لَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection.</b></font>
وَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِؕ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul.</b></font>
اَيَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَلَّنْ نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهٗؕ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Does man think that We shall not gather his bones?</b></font>
بَلٰى قٰدِرِيْنَ عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهٗ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips</b></font>
بَلْ يُرِيْدُ الْاِنْسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ اَمَامَهٗ‌ۚ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him.</b></font>
يَسْئَلُ اَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيٰمَةِؕ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) He asks: When is the day of resurrection?</b></font>
فَاِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُۙ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) So when the sight becomes dazed,</b></font>
وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُۙ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And the moon becomes dark,</b></font>
وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُۙ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And the sun and the moon are brought together,</b></font>
يَقُوْلُ الْاِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ اَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ‌ ۚ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to?</b></font>
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَؕ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) By no means! there shall be no place of refuge!</b></font>
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذِ ۟الْمُسْتَقَرُّ ؕ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest.</b></font>
يُنَبَّؤُا الْاِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَاَخَّرَؕ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off.</b></font>
بَلِ الْاِنْسَانُ عَلٰى نَفْسِهٖ بَصِيْرَةٌ ۙ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Nay! man is evidence against himself,</b></font>
وَّلَوْ اَلْقٰى مَعَاذِيْرَهٗؕ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Though he puts forth his excuses.</b></font>
لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهٖ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهٖؕ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it,</b></font>
اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهٗ وَقُرْاٰنَهٗۚ  ۖ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it.</b></font>
فَاِذَا قَرَاْنٰهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْاٰنَهٗ‌ۚ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation.</b></font>
ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهٗؕ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it.</b></font>
كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّوْنَ الْعَاجِلَةَ ۙ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Nay! But you love the present life,</b></font>
وَتَذَرُوْنَ الْاٰخِرَةَ ؕ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) And neglect the hereafter.</b></font>
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ ۙ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) (Some) faces on that day shall be bright,</b></font>
اِلٰى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ‌ ۚ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Looking to their Lord.</b></font>
وَوُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍۢ بَاسِرَةٌ ۙ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy,</b></font>
تَظُنُّ اَنْ يُّفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ ؕ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِىَۙ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Nay! When it comes up to the throat,</b></font>
وَقِيْلَ مَنْ رَاقٍۙ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) And it is said: Who will be a magician?</b></font>
وَّظَنَّ اَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُۙ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting</b></font>
وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِۙ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) And affliction is combined with affliction;</b></font>
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذِ ۟الْمَسَاقُؕ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) To your Lord on that day shall be the driving.</b></font>
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلّٰىۙ‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) So he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray,</b></font>
وَلٰڪِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىۙ‏(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) But called the truth a lie and turned back,</b></font>
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهٖ يَتَمَطّٰىؕ‏(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) Then he went to his followers, walking away in haughtiness.</b></font>
اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىۙ‏(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) Nearer to you (is destruction) and nearer,</b></font>
ثُمَّ اَوْلٰى لَكَ فَاَوْلٰىؕ‏(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) Again (consider how) nearer to you and nearer.</b></font>
اَيَحْسَبُ الْاِنْسَانُ اَنْ يُّتْرَكَ سُدًىؕ‏(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?</b></font>
اَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّنْ مَّنِىٍّ يُّمْنٰىۙ‏(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) Was he not a small seed in the seminal elements,</b></font>
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّٰىۙ‏(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) Then he was a clot of blood, so He created (him) then made (him) perfect.</b></font>
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰىؕ‏(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) Then He made of him two kinds, the male and the female.</b></font>
اَلَيْسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰٓى اَنْ يُّحْىِۦَ الْمَوْتٰى‏(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) Is not He able to give life to the dead?</b></font>
SURAH AD-DAHR (THE PERIOD)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
هَلْ اَتٰى عَلَى الْاِنْسَانِ حِيْنٌ مِّنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَّذْكُوْرًا‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) There surely came over man a period of time when he was a thing not worth mentioning.</b></font>
اِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍ اَمْشَاجٍۖ نَّبْتَلِيْهِ فَجَعَلْنٰهُ سَمِيْعًۢا بَصِيْرًا‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Surely We have created man from a small life-germ uniting (itself): We mean to try him, so We have made him hearing, seeing.</b></font>
اِنَّا هَدَيْنٰهُ السَّبِيْلَ اِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَّاِمَّا كَفُوْرًا‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful.</b></font>
اِنَّاۤ اَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكٰفِرِيْنَ سَلٰسِلَاۡ وَاَغْلٰلًا وَّسَعِيْرًا‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains and shackles and a burning fire.</b></font>
اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُوْنَ مِنْ كَاْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُوْرًا‌ۚ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor</b></font>
عَيْنًا يَّشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللّٰهِ يُفَجِّرُوْنَهَا تَفْجِيْرًا‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth.</b></font>
يُوْفُوْنَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُوْنَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهٗ مُسْتَطِيْرًا‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) They fulfill vows and fear a day the evil of which shall be spreading far and wide.</b></font>
وَيُطْعِمُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ عَلٰى حُبِّهٖ مِسْكِيْنًا وَّيَتِيْمًا وَّاَسِيْرًا‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And they give food out of love for Him to the poor and the orphan and the captive:</b></font>
اِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللّٰهِ لَا نُرِيْدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَآءً وَّلَا شُكُوْرًا‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks:</b></font>
اِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنْ رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوْسًا قَمْطَرِيْرًا‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day.</b></font>
فَوَقٰٮهُمُ اللّٰهُ شَرَّ ذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَ لَقّٰٮهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَّسُرُوْرًا‌ۚ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Therefore Allah win guard them from the evil of that day and cause them to meet withease and happiness;</b></font>
وَجَزٰٮهُمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوْا جَنَّةً وَّحَرِيْرًا ۙ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And reward them, because they were patient, with garden and silk,</b></font>
مُّتَّكِئِيْنَ فِيْهَا عَلَى الْاَرَآئِكِ‌ۚ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيْهَا شَمْسًا وَّلَا زَمْهَرِيْرًا‌ۚ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Reclining therein on raised couches, they shall find therein neither (the severe heat of) the sun nor intense cold.</b></font>
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلٰلُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوْفُهَا تَذْلِيْلًا‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And close down upon them (shall be) its shadows, and its fruits shall be made near (to them), being easy to reach.</b></font>
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِاٰنِيَةٍ مِّنْ فِضَّةٍ وَّاَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيْرَاۡؔ ۙ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets which are of glass,</b></font>
قَوَارِيْرَاۡؔ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوْهَا تَقْدِيْرًا‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure.</b></font>
وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيْهَا كَاْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنْجَبِيْلًا ۚ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And they shall be made to drink therein a cup the admixture of which shall be ginger,</b></font>
عَيْنًا فِيْهَا تُسَمّٰى سَلْسَبِيْلًا‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) (Of) a fountain therein which is named Salsabil.</b></font>
وَيَطُوْفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُوْنَ‌ۚ اِذَا رَاَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَّنْثُوْرًا‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls.</b></font>
وَاِذَا رَاَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَاَيْتَ نَعِيْمًا وَّمُلْكًا كَبِيْرًا‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) And when you see there, you shall see blessings and a great kingdom.</b></font>
عٰلِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُنْدُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَّاِسْتَبْرَقٌ‌ وَّحُلُّوْۤا اَسَاوِرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ ‌ۚوَسَقٰٮهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُوْرًا‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Upon them shall be garments of fine green silk and thick silk interwoven with gold, and they shall be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord shall make them drink a pure drink.</b></font>
اِنَّ هٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَآءً وَّكَانَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَّشْكُوْرًا‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Surely this is a reward for you, and your striving shall be recompensed.</b></font>
اِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْاٰنَ تَنْزِيْلًا ۚ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Surely We Ourselves have revealed the Quran to you revealing (it) in portions.</b></font>
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ اٰثِمًا اَوْ كَفُوْرًا‌ۚ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one.</b></font>
وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَّاَصِيْلًا ۚ  ۖ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening.</b></font>
وَمِنَ الَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهٗ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيْلًا‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) And during part of the night adore Him, and give glory to Him (a) long (part of the) night.</b></font>
اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ يُحِبُّوْنَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُوْنَ وَرَآءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيْلًا‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) Surely these love the transitory and neglect a grievous day before them.</b></font>
نَحْنُ خَلَقْنٰهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَاۤ اَسْرَهُمْ‌ۚ وَاِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَاۤ اَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيْلًا‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) We created them and made firm their make, and when We please We will bring in their place the likes of them by a change.</b></font>
اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذْكِرَةٌ ‌ۚ فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way.</b></font>
وَمَا تَشَآءُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ ‌ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا  ۖ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) And you do not please except that Allah please, surely Allah is Knowing, Wise;</b></font>
يُّدْخِلُ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ فِىْ رَحْمَتِهٖ‌ؕ وَالظّٰلِمِيْنَ اَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) He makes whom He pleases to enter into His mercy; and (as for) the unjust, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement.</b></font>
SURAH AL-MURSALAAT (THE EMISSARIES)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالْمُرْسَلٰتِ عُرْفًا ۙ‏(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit),</b></font>
فَالْعٰصِفٰتِ عَصْفًا ۙ‏(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) By the raging hurricanes,</b></font>
وَّالنّٰشِرٰتِ نَشْرًا ۙ‏(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Which scatter clouds to their destined places,</b></font>
فَالْفٰرِقٰتِ فَرْقًا ۙ‏(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Then separate them one from another,</b></font>
فَالْمُلْقِيٰتِ ذِكْرًا ۙ‏(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation,</b></font>
عُذْرًا اَوْ نُذْرًا ۙ‏(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) To clear or to warn.</b></font>
اِنَّمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَوَاقِعٌ ؕ‏(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass.</b></font>
فَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ طُمِسَتْۙ‏(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) So when the stars are made to lose their light,</b></font>
وَ اِذَا السَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْۙ‏(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And when the heaven is rent asunder,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْۙ‏(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And when the mountains are carried away as dust,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الرُّسُلُ اُقِّتَتْؕ‏(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time</b></font>
لِاَىِّ يَوْمٍ اُجِّلَتْؕ‏(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) To what day is the doom fixed?</b></font>
لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ‌ۚ‏(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) To the day of decision.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِؕ‏(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is?</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
اَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْاَوَّلِيْنَؕ‏(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Did We not destroy the former generations?</b></font>
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْاٰخِرِيْنَ‏(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Then did We follow them up with later ones.</b></font>
كَذٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِيْنَ‏(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Even thus shall We deal with the guilty.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
اَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُّمْ مِّنْ مَّآءٍ مَّهِيْنٍۙ‏(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Did We not create you from contemptible water?</b></font>
فَجَعَلْنٰهُ فِىْ قَرَارٍ مَّكِيْنٍۙ‏(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Then We placed it in a secure resting-place,</b></font>
اِلٰى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍۙ‏(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Till an appointed term,</b></font>
فَقَدَرْنَاۖ فَنِعْمَ الْقٰدِرُوْنَ‏(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things).</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ كِفَاتًا ۙ‏(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself,</b></font>
اَحْيَآءً وَّاَمْوَاتًا ۙ‏(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) The living and the dead,</b></font>
وَّجَعَلْنَا فِيْهَا رَوَاسِىَ شٰمِخٰتٍ وَّ اَسْقَيْنٰكُمْ مَّآءً فُرَاتًا ؕ‏(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water?</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
اِنْطَلِقُوْۤا اِلٰى مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ‌ۚ‏(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) Walk on to that which you called a lie.</b></font>
اِنْطَلِقُوْۤا اِلٰى ظِلٍّ ذِىْ ثَلٰثِ شُعَبٍۙ‏(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) Walk on to the covering having three branches,</b></font>
لَّا ظَلِيْلٍ وَّلَا يُغْنِىْ مِنَ اللَّهَبِؕ‏(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame.</b></font>
اِنَّهَا تَرْمِىْ بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ‌ۚ‏(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) Surely it sends up sparks like palaces,</b></font>
كَاَنَّهٗ جِمٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ ؕ‏(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) As if they were tawny camels.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
هٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُوْنَۙ‏(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) This is the day on which they shall not speak,</b></font>
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُوْنَ‏(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
هٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ‌ۚ جَمَعْنٰكُمْ وَالْاَوَّلِيْنَ‏(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore.</b></font>
فَاِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيْدُوْنِ‏(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now).</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
اِنَّ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ فِىْ ظِلٰلٍ وَّعُيُوْنٍۙ‏(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be amid shades and fountains,</b></font>
وَّفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُوْنَؕ‏(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) And fruits such as they desire.</b></font>
كُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا هَنِيْٓئًا ۢ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ‏(43)
<font color="000000"><b>(43) Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you did.</b></font>
اِنَّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِى الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ‏(44)
<font color="000000"><b>(44) Surely thus do We reward the doers of good.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(45)
<font color="000000"><b>(45) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
كُلُوْا وَتَمَتَّعُوْا قَلِيْلًا اِنَّكُمْ مُّجْرِمُوْنَ‏(46)
<font color="000000"><b>(46) Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(47)
<font color="000000"><b>(47) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوْا لَا يَرْكَعُوْنَ‏(48)
<font color="000000"><b>(48) And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ‏(49)
<font color="000000"><b>(49) Woe on that day to the rejecters.</b></font>
فَبِاَىِّ حَدِيْثٍۢ بَعْدَهٗ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ‏(50)
<font color="000000"><b>(50) In what announcement, then, after it, will they believe?</b></font>
