SURAH AN-NABA (THE GREAT EVENT)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَۚ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Of what do they ask one another?</b></font>
عَنِ النَّبَاِ الْعَظِيْمِۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) About the great event,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ هُمْ فِيْهِ مُخْتَلِفُوْنَؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) About which they differ?</b></font>
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُوْنَۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Nay! they shall soon come to know</b></font>
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُوْنَ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Nay! Nay! they shall soon know.</b></font>
اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ مِهٰدًا ۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Have We not made the earth an even expanse?</b></font>
وَّالْجِبَالَ اَوْتَادًا ۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And the mountains as projections (thereon)?</b></font>
وَّخَلَقْنٰكُمْ اَزْوَاجًا ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And We created you in pairs,</b></font>
وَّجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And We made your sleep to be rest (to you),</b></font>
وَّجَعَلْنَا الَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا ۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And We made the night to be a covering,</b></font>
وَّجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And We made the day for seeking livelihood.</b></font>
وَّبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And We made above you seven strong ones,</b></font>
وَّ جَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَّهَّاجًا ۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And We made a shining lamp,</b></font>
وَّاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا ۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly,</b></font>
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهٖ حَبًّا وَّنَبَاتًا ۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) That We may bring forth thereby corn and herbs,</b></font>
وَّجَنّٰتٍ اَلْفَافًا ؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And gardens dense and luxuriant.</b></font>
اِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيْقَاتًا ۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Surely the day of decision is (a day) appointed:</b></font>
يَّوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِى الصُّوْرِ فَتَاْتُوْنَ اَفْوَاجًا ۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) The day on which the trumpet shall be blown so you shall come forth in hosts,</b></font>
وَّفُتِحَتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ اَبْوَابًا ۙ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And the heaven shall be opened so that it shall be all openings,</b></font>
وَّ سُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ؕ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance.</b></font>
اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا ۙ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Surely hell lies in wait,</b></font>
لِّلطّٰغِيْنَ مَاٰبًا ۙ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) A place of resort for the inordinate,</b></font>
لّٰبِثِيْنَ فِيْهَاۤ اَحْقَابًا ۚ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Living therein for ages.</b></font>
لَا يَذُوْقُوْنَ فِيْهَا بَرْدًا وَّلَا شَرَابًا ۙ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) They shall not taste therein cool nor drink</b></font>
اِلَّا حَمِيْمًا وَّغَسَّاقًا ۙ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) But boiling and intensely cold water,</b></font>
جَزَآءً وِّفَاقًا ؕ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Requital corresponding.</b></font>
اِنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ حِسَابًا ۙ(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) Surely they feared not the account,</b></font>
وَّكَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كِذَّابًا ؕ(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth).</b></font>
وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ اَحْصَيْنٰهُ كِتٰبًا ۙ(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) And We have recorded everything in a book,</b></font>
فَذُوْقُوْا فَلَنْ نَّزِيْدَكُمْ اِلَّا عَذَابًا(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) So taste! for We will not add to you aught but chastisement.</b></font>
اِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ مَفَازًا ۙ(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) Surely for those who guard (against evil) is achievement,</b></font>
حَدَآئِقَ وَاَعْنَابًا ۙ(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) Gardens and vineyards,</b></font>
وَّكَوَاعِبَ اَتْرَابًا ۙ(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) And voluptuous women of equal age;</b></font>
وَّكَاْسًا دِهَاقًا ؕ(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) And a pure cup.</b></font>
لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ فِيْهَا لَغْوًا وَّلَا كِذّٰبًا ۚ(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) They shall not hear therein any vain words nor lying.</b></font>
جَزَآءً مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا ۙ(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) A reward from your Lord, a gift according to a reckoning:</b></font>
رَّبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرَّحْمٰنِ لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا ۚ(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Beneficent Allah, they shall not be able to address Him.</b></font>
يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الرُّوْحُ وَالْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّا ؕۙ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُوْنَ اِلَّا مَنْ اَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) The day on which the spirit and the angels shall stand in ranks; they shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who speaks the right thing.</b></font>
ذٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ ۚ فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ مَاٰبًا(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) That is the sure day, so whoever desires may take refuge with his Lord.</b></font>
اِنَّاۤ اَنْذَرْنٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا ۖۚ يَّوْمَ يَنْظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدٰهُ وَيَقُوْلُ الْكٰفِرُ يٰلَيْتَنِىْ كُنْتُ تُرٰبًا(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) Surely We have warned you of a chastisement near at hand: the day when man shall see what his two hands have sent before, and the unbeliever shall say: O! would that I were dust!</b></font>
SURAH AN-NAZI’AAT (THOSE WHO PULL OUT)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالنّٰزِعٰتِ غَرْقًا ۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked,</b></font>
وَّالنّٰشِطٰتِ نَشْطًا ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed,</b></font>
وَّالسّٰبِحٰتِ سَبْحًا ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And by those who float in space,</b></font>
فَالسّٰبِقٰتِ سَبْقًا ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Then those who are foremost going ahead,</b></font>
فَالْمُدَبِّرٰتِ اَمْرًا ۘ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then those who regulate the affair.</b></font>
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ ۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) The day on which the quaking one shall quake,</b></font>
تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) What must happen afterwards shall follow it.</b></font>
قُلُوْبٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ وَّاجِفَةٌ ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Hearts on that day shall palpitate,</b></font>
اَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ ۘ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Their eyes cast down.</b></font>
يَقُوْلُوْنَ ءَاِنَّا لَمَرْدُوْدُوْنَ فِى الْحَافِرَةِ ؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state?</b></font>
ءَاِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَّخِرَةً ؕ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) What! when we are rotten bones?</b></font>
قَالُوْا تِلْكَ اِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ ۘ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss.</b></font>
فَاِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَّاحِدَةٌ ۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) But it shall be only a single cry,</b></font>
فَاِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ ؕ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) When lo! they shall be wakeful.</b></font>
هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ مُوْسٰىۘ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Has not there come to you the story of Musa?</b></font>
اِذْ نَادٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًىۚ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice,</b></font>
اِذْهَبْ اِلٰى فِرْعَوْنَ اِنَّهٗ طَغٰى ۖ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.</b></font>
فَقُلْ هَلْ لَّكَ اِلٰٓى اَنْ تَزَكّٰى ۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself:</b></font>
وَاَهْدِيَكَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشٰىۚ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear.</b></font>
فَاَرٰٮهُ الْاٰيَةَ الْكُبْرٰى ۖ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) So he showed him the mighty sign.</b></font>
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصٰى ۖ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed.</b></font>
ثُمَّ اَدْبَرَ يَسْعٰىۖ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Then he went back hastily.</b></font>
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادٰىۖ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Then he gathered (men) and called out.</b></font>
فَقَالَ اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰى ۖ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Then he said: I am your lord, the most high.</b></font>
فَاَخَذَهُ اللّٰهُ نَڪَالَ الْاٰخِرَةِ وَالْاُوْلٰى ؕ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life.</b></font>
اِنَّ فِىْ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَنْ يَّخْشٰىؕ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears.</b></font>
ءَاَنْتُمْ اَشَدُّ خَلْقًا اَمِ السَّمَآءُ ؕ بَنٰٮهَا(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it.</b></font>
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّٮهَا ۙ(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state.</b></font>
وَ اَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَاَخْرَجَ ضُحٰٮهَا(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) And He made dark its night and brought out its light.</b></font>
وَالْاَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ دَحٰٮهَا ؕ(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) And the earth, He expanded it after that.</b></font>
اَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعٰٮهَا(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage.</b></font>
وَالْجِبَالَ اَرْسٰٮهَا ۙ(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) And the mountains, He made them firm,</b></font>
مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) A provision for you and for your cattle.</b></font>
فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الطَّآمَّةُ الْكُبْرٰى ۖ(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) But when the great predominating calamity comes;</b></font>
يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا سَعٰىۙ(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after,</b></font>
وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيْمُ لِمَنْ يَّرٰى(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees</b></font>
فَاَمَّا مَنْ طَغٰىۙ(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) Then as for him who is inordinate,</b></font>
وَاٰثَرَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَا ۙ(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) And prefers the life of this world,</b></font>
فَاِنَّ الْجَحِيْمَ هِىَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) Then surely the hell, that is the abode.</b></font>
وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهٖ وَ نَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوٰىۙ(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires,</b></font>
فَاِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِىَ الْمَاْوٰىؕ(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) Then surely the garden-- that is the abode.</b></font>
يَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَيَّانَ مُرْسٰٮهَا ؕ(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) They ask you about the hour, when it will come.</b></font>
فِيْمَ اَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرٰٮهَاؕ(43)
<font color="000000"><b>(43) About what! You are one to remind of it.</b></font>
اِلٰى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهٰٮهَاؕ(44)
<font color="000000"><b>(44) To your Lord is the goal of it.</b></font>
اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُنْذِرُ مَنْ يَّخْشٰٮهَاؕ(45)
<font color="000000"><b>(45) You are only a warner to him who would fear it.</b></font>
كَاَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوْۤا اِلَّا عَشِيَّةً اَوْ ضُحٰٮهَا(46)
<font color="000000"><b>(46) On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it.</b></font>
SURAH ‘ABASA (HE FROWNED)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلّٰٓىۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) He frowned and turned (his) back,</b></font>
اَنْ جَآءَهُ الْاَعْمٰىؕ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Because there came to him the blind man.</b></font>
وَمَا يُدْرِيْكَ لَعَلَّهٗ يَزَّكّٰٓىۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And what would make you know that he would purify himself,</b></font>
اَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنْفَعَهُ الذِّكْرٰىؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him?</b></font>
اَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنٰىۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) As for him who considers himself free from need (of you),</b></font>
فَاَنْتَ لَهٗ تَصَدّٰىؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) To him do you address yourself.</b></font>
وَمَا عَلَيْكَ اَلَّا يَزَّكّٰٓىؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself</b></font>
وَاَمَّا مَنْ جَآءَكَ يَسْعٰىۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And as to him who comes to you striving hard,</b></font>
وَهُوَ يَخْشٰىۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And he fears,</b></font>
فَاَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهّٰىۚ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) From him will you divert yourself.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ ۚ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Nay! surely it is an admonishment.</b></font>
فَمَنْ شَآءَ ذَكَرَهٗۘ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) So let him who pleases mind it.</b></font>
فِىْ صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) In honored books,</b></font>
مَّرْفُوْعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ ۭۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Exalted, purified,</b></font>
بِاَيْدِىْ سَفَرَةٍۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) In the hands of scribes</b></font>
كِرَامٍۢ بَرَرَةٍؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Noble, virtuous.</b></font>
قُتِلَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَاۤ اَكْفَرَهٗؕ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he!</b></font>
مِنْ اَىِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهٗؕ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Of what thing did He create him?</b></font>
مِنْ نُّطْفَةٍؕ خَلَقَهٗ فَقَدَّرَهٗ ۙ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure,</b></font>
ثُمَّ السَّبِيْلَ يَسَّرَهٗۙ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him)</b></font>
ثُمَّ اَمَاتَهٗ فَاَقْبَرَهٗۙ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave,</b></font>
ثُمَّ اِذَا شَآءَ اَنْشَرَهٗؕ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again.</b></font>
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَاۤ اَمَرَهٗؕ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) Nay; but he has not done what He bade him.</b></font>
فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْاِنْسَانُ اِلٰى طَعَامِهٖۤۙ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Then let man look to his food,</b></font>
اَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَآءَ صَبًّا ۙ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance,</b></font>
ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْاَرْضَ شَقًّا ۙ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder,</b></font>
فَاَنْۢبَتْنَا فِيْهَا حَبًّا ۙ(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) Then We cause to grow therein the grain,</b></font>
وَّ عِنَبًا وَّقَضْبًا ۙ(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) And grapes and clover,</b></font>
وَّزَيْتُوْنًا وَّنَخْلًا ؕ(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) And the olive and the palm,</b></font>
وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلْبًا ۙ(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) And thick gardens,</b></font>
وَّفَاكِهَةً وَّاَبًّا ۙ(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) And fruits and herbage</b></font>
مَّتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِاَنْعَامِكُمْؕ(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) A provision for you and for your cattle.</b></font>
فَاِذَا جَآءَتِ الصَّآخَّةُ(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) But when the deafening cry comes,</b></font>
يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ اَخِيْهِۙ(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) The day on which a man shall fly from his brother,</b></font>
وَاُمِّهٖ وَاَبِيْهِۙ(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) And his mother and his father,</b></font>
وَصَاحِبَتِهٖ وَبَنِيْهِؕ(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) And his spouse and his son--</b></font>
لِكُلِّ امْرِیءٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَاْنٌ يُّغْنِيْهِؕ(37)
<font color="000000"><b>(37) Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him.</b></font>
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ۙ(38)
<font color="000000"><b>(38) (Many) faces on that day shall be bright,</b></font>
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ ۚ(39)
<font color="000000"><b>(39) Laughing, joyous.</b></font>
وَوُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ ۙ(40)
<font color="000000"><b>(40) And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust,</b></font>
تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ؕ(41)
<font color="000000"><b>(41) Darkness shall cover them.</b></font>
اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ(42)
<font color="000000"><b>(42) These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked.</b></font>
SURAH AT-TAKWIR (THE COVERING UP)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) When the sun is covered,</b></font>
وَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ انْكَدَرَتْۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And when the stars darken,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And when the mountains are made to pass away,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And when the camels are left untended,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And when the wild animals are made to go forth,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And when the seas are set on fire,</b></font>
وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And when souls are united,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْمَوْءٗدَةُ سُئِلَتْۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And when the female infant buried alive is asked</b></font>
بِاَىِّ ذَنْۢبٍ قُتِلَتْۚ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) For what sin she was killed,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And when the books are spread,</b></font>
وَاِذَا السَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And when the heaven has its covering removed,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْجَحِيْمُ سُعِّرَتْۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And when the hell is kindled up,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْجَنَّةُ اُزْلِفَتْۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And when the garden is brought nigh,</b></font>
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّاۤ اَحْضَرَتْؕ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared.</b></font>
فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) But nay! I swear by the stars,</b></font>
الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِۙ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) That run their course (and) hide themselves,</b></font>
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا عَسْعَسَۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And the night when it departs,</b></font>
وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And the morning when it brightens,</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍۙ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger,</b></font>
ذِىْ قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِى الْعَرْشِ مَكِيْنٍۙ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion,</b></font>
مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيْنٍؕ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust.</b></font>
وَ مَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُوْنٍۚ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) And your companion is not gone mad.</b></font>
وَلَقَدْ رَاٰهُ بِالْاُفُقِ الْمُبِيْنِۚ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.</b></font>
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِيْنٍۚ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.</b></font>
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطٰنٍ رَّجِيْمٍۙ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan,</b></font>
فَاَيْنَ تَذْهَبُوْنَؕ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Whither then will you go?</b></font>
اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) It is naught but a reminder for the nations,</b></font>
لِمَنْ شَآءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَّسْتَقِيْمَؕ(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) For him among you who pleases to go straight.</b></font>
وَمَا تَشَآءُوْنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.</b></font>
SURAH AL-INFITAAR (THE CLEAVING ASUNDER)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتْۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) When the heaven becomes cleft asunder,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And when the stars become dispersed,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And when the seas are made to flow forth,</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْقُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And when the graves are laid open,</b></font>
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَاَخَّرَتْؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back.</b></font>
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيْمِۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّٰٮكَ فَعَدَلَكَۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical?</b></font>
فِىْۤ اَىِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَؕ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you.</b></font>
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّيْنِۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Nay! but you give the lie to the Judgement day,</b></font>
وَاِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحٰفِظِيْنَۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And most surely there are keepers over you</b></font>
كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيْنَۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Honorable recorders,</b></font>
يَعْلَمُوْنَ مَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) They know what you do.</b></font>
اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِىْ نَعِيْمٍۚ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Most surely the righteous are in bliss,</b></font>
وَاِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِىْ جَحِيْمٍ ۚۖ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And most surely the wicked are in burning fire,</b></font>
يَّصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) They shall enter it on the day of Judgement.</b></font>
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِيْنَؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And they shall by no means be absent from it.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And what will make you realize what the day of Judgement is?</b></font>
ثُمَّ مَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِؕ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Again, what will make you realize what the day of Judgement is?</b></font>
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ؕ وَالْاَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's.</b></font>
SURAH AL-MUTAFFIN (THE DEFRAUDERS)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِيْنَۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Woe to the defrauders,</b></font>
الَّذِيْنَ اِذَا اكْتَالُوْا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُوْنَۖ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully,</b></font>
وَاِذَا كَالُوْهُمْ اَوْ وَّزَنُوْهُمْ يُخْسِرُوْنَؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient.</b></font>
اَلَا يَظُنُّ اُولٰٓئِكَ اَنَّهُمْ مَّبْعُوْثُوْنَۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Do not these think that they shall be raised again</b></font>
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) For a mighty day,</b></font>
يَّوْمَ يَقُوْمُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds?</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِىْ سِجِّيْنٍؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا سِجِّيْنٌؕ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And what will make you know what the Sijjin is?</b></font>
كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) It is a written book.</b></font>
وَيْلٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) Woe on that day to the rejecters,</b></font>
الَّذِيْنَ يُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّيْنِؕ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Who give the lie to the day of Judgement.</b></font>
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهٖۤ اِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ اَثِيْمٍۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one</b></font>
اِذَا تُتْلٰى عَلَيْهِ اٰيٰتُنَا قَالَ اَسَاطِيْرُ الْاَوَّلِيْنَؕ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore.</b></font>
كَلَّا بَلْ رَانَ عَلٰى قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَّا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوْبُوْنَؕ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord.</b></font>
ثُمَّ اِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيْمِؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire.</b></font>
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هٰذَا الَّذِىْ كُنْتُمْ بِهٖ تُكَذِّبُوْنَؕ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ كِتٰبَ الْاَبْرَارِ لَفِىْ عِلِّيِّيْنَؕ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا عِلِّيُّوْنَؕ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is?</b></font>
كِتٰبٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌۙ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) It is a written book,</b></font>
يَّشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَؕ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Those who are drawn near (to Allah) shall witness it.</b></font>
اِنَّ الْاَبْرَارَ لَفِىْ نَعِيْمٍۙ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Most surely the righteous shall be in bliss,</b></font>
عَلَى الْاَرَآئِكِ يَنْظُرُوْنَۙ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) On thrones, they shall gaze;</b></font>
تَعْرِفُ فِىْ وُجُوْهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيْمِۚ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss.</b></font>
يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَّحِيْقٍ مَّخْتُوْمٍۙ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) They are made to quaff of a pure drink that is sealed (to others).</b></font>
خِتٰمُهٗ مِسْكٌ ؕ وَفِىْ ذٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُوْنَ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) The sealing of it is (with) musk; and for that let the aspirers aspire.</b></font>
وَ مِزَاجُهٗ مِنْ تَسْنِيْمٍۙ(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim,</b></font>
عَيْنًا يَّشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُوْنَؕ(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah).</b></font>
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اَجْرَمُوْا كَانُوْا مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا يَضْحَكُوْنَ ۖ(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe.</b></font>
وَاِذَا مَرُّوْا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُوْنَ ۖ(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) And when they passed by them, they winked at one another.</b></font>
وَاِذَا انْقَلَبُوْۤا اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوْا فَكِهِيْنَ ۖ(31)
<font color="000000"><b>(31) And when they returned to their own followers they returned exulting.</b></font>
وَاِذَا رَاَوْهُمْ قَالُوْۤا اِنَّ هٰٓؤُلَاۤءِ لَضَآلُّوْنَۙ(32)
<font color="000000"><b>(32) And when they saw them, they said: Most surely these are in error;</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اُرْسِلُوْا عَلَيْهِمْ حٰفِظِيْنَۙ(33)
<font color="000000"><b>(33) And they were not sent to be keepers over them.</b></font>
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُوْنَۙ(34)
<font color="000000"><b>(34) So today those who believe shall laugh at the unbelievers;</b></font>
عَلَى الْاَرَآئِكِۙ يَنْظُرُوْنَؕ(35)
<font color="000000"><b>(35) On thrones, they will look.</b></font>
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوْا يَفْعَلُوْنَ(36)
<font color="000000"><b>(36) Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did.</b></font>
SURAH AL-INSHIQAQ (THE BURSTING ASUNDER)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتْۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) When the heaven bursts asunder,</b></font>
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And obeys its Lord and it must.</b></font>
وَاِذَا الْاَرْضُ مُدَّتْؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And when the earth is stretched,</b></font>
وَاَلْقَتْ مَا فِيْهَا وَتَخَلَّتْۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And casts forth what is in it and becomes empty,</b></font>
وَاَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And obeys its Lord and it must.</b></font>
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْاِنْسَانُ اِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلٰقِيْهِۚ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him.</b></font>
فَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ بِيَمِيْنِهٖۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand,</b></font>
فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَّسِيْرًا ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning,</b></font>
وَّيَنْقَلِبُ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًا ؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And he shall go back to his people joyful.</b></font>
وَاَمَّا مَنْ اُوْتِىَ كِتٰبَهٗ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهٖۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And as to him who is given his book behind his back,</b></font>
فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوْا ثُبُوْرًا ۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) He shall call for perdition,</b></font>
وَّيَصْلٰى سَعِيْرًا ؕ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And enter into burning fire.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ كَانَ فِىْۤ اَهْلِهٖ مَسْرُوْرًا ؕ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Surely he was (erstwhile) joyful among his followers.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ ظَنَّ اَنْ لَّنْ يَّحُوْرَ ۛۚ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Surely he thought that he would never return.</b></font>
بَلٰٓى ۛۚ اِنَّ رَبَّهٗ كَانَ بِهٖ بَصِيْرًا ؕ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him.</b></font>
فَلَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِۙ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) But nay! I swear by the sunset redness,</b></font>
وَالَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And the night and that which it drives on,</b></font>
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا اتَّسَقَۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And the moon when it grows full,</b></font>
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍؕ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) That you shall most certainly enter one state after another.</b></font>
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَۙ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) But what is the matter with them that they do not believe,</b></font>
وَاِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْاٰنُ لَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ ؕ ۩(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance?</b></font>
بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا يُكَذِّبُوْنَۖ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) Nay! those who disbelieve give the lie to the truth.</b></font>
وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوْعُوْنَۖ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) And Allah knows best what they hide,</b></font>
فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ اَلِيْمٍۙ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) So announce to them a painful punishment~</b></font>
اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off.</b></font>
SURAH AL-BURUJ (THE MANSION OF STARS)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوْجِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the mansions of the stars,</b></font>
وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُوْدِۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And the promised day,</b></font>
وَشَاهِدٍ وَّمَشْهُوْدٍؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne.</b></font>
قُتِلَ اَصْحٰبُ الْاُخْدُوْدِۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Cursed be the makers of the pit,</b></font>
النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُوْدِۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel,</b></font>
اِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُوْدٌ ۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) When they sat by it,</b></font>
وَّهُمْ عَلٰى مَا يَفْعَلُوْنَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ شُهُوْدٌ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers.</b></font>
وَمَا نَقَمُوْا مِنْهُمْ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ يُّؤْمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَزِيْزِ الْحَمِيْدِۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ لَهٗ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِؕ وَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيْدٌ ؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things.</b></font>
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوْبُوْا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيْقِؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning.</b></font>
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنّٰتٌ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ ؕؔ ذٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيْرُؕ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement.</b></font>
اِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيْدٌ ؕ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Surely the might of your Lord is great.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيْدُ ۚ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces,</b></font>
وَهُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الْوَدُوْدُۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And He is the Forgiving, the Loving,</b></font>
ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيْدُ ۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious,</b></font>
فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيْدُ ؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) The great doer of what He will.</b></font>
هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ الْجُنُوْدِۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Has not there come to you the story of the hosts,</b></font>
فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُوْدَؕ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Of Firon and Samood?</b></font>
بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فِىْ تَكْذِيْبٍۙ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth.</b></font>
وَّاللّٰهُ مِنْ وَّرَآئِهِمْ مُّحِيْطٌۚ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) And Allah encompasses them on every side.</b></font>
بَلْ هُوَ قُرْاٰنٌ مَّجِيْدٌ ۙ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Nay! it is a glorious Quran,</b></font>
فِىْ لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوْظٍ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) In a guarded tablet.</b></font>
SURAH AT-TAARIQ (THE NIGHT-COMER)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالسَّمَآءِ وَالطَّارِقِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الطَّارِقُۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And what will make you know what the comer by night is?</b></font>
النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) The star of piercing brightness;</b></font>
اِنْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.</b></font>
فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْاِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) So let man consider of what he is created:</b></font>
خُلِقَ مِنْ مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) He is created of water pouring forth,</b></font>
يَّخْرُجُ مِنْۢ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَآئِبِؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Coming from between the back and the ribs.</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ عَلٰى رَجْعِهٖ لَقَادِرٌؕ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Most surely He is able to return him (to life).</b></font>
يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَآئِرُۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest,</b></font>
فَمَا لَهٗ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَّلَا نَاصِرٍؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) He shall have neither strength nor helper.</b></font>
وَالسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) I swear by the raingiving heavens,</b></font>
وَالْاَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And the earth splitting (with plants);</b></font>
اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Most surely it is a decisive word,</b></font>
وَّمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِؕ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And it is no joke.</b></font>
اِنَّهُمْ يَكِيْدُوْنَ كَيْدًا ۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Surely they will make a scheme,</b></font>
وَّاَكِيْدُ كَيْدًا ۚۖ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And I (too) will make a scheme.</b></font>
فَمَهِّلِ الْكٰفِرِيْنَ اَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while.</b></font>
SURAH AL-A’ALA (THE MOST HIGH)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْاَعْلَىۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ خَلَقَ فَسَوّٰى ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Who creates, then makes complete,</b></font>
وَالَّذِىْ قَدَّرَ فَهَدٰى ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal),</b></font>
وَالَّذِىْۤ اَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعٰى ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And Who brings forth herbage,</b></font>
فَجَعَلَهٗ غُثَآءً اَحْوٰىؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.</b></font>
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسٰٓىۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) We will make you recite so you shall not forget,</b></font>
اِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللّٰهُؕ اِنَّهٗ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفٰىؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden.</b></font>
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرٰى ۖۚ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease.</b></font>
فَذَكِّرْ اِنْ نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرٰىؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit.</b></font>
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَّخْشٰىۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) He who fears will mind,</b></font>
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْاَشْقَىۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And the most unfortunate one will avoid it,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرٰىۚ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Who shall enter the great fire;</b></font>
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوْتُ فِيْهَا وَلَا يَحْيٰىؕ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Then therein he shall neither live nor die.</b></font>
قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكّٰىۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,</b></font>
وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهٖ فَصَلّٰى ؕ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.</b></font>
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُوْنَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَاۖ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Nay! you prefer the life of this world,</b></font>
وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَّ اَبْقٰىؕ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) While the hereafter is better and more lasting.</b></font>
اِنَّ هٰذَا لَفِى الصُّحُفِ الْاُوْلٰىۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures,</b></font>
صُحُفِ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَمُوْسٰى(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.</b></font>
SURAH AL-GHASHIYAH (THE OVERWHELMING CALAMITY)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ الْغَاشِيَةِؕ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity?</b></font>
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast,</b></font>
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Laboring, toiling,</b></font>
تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةً ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Entering into burning fire,</b></font>
تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَيْنٍ اٰنِيَةٍؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Made to drink from a boiling spring.</b></font>
لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيْعٍۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) They shall have no food but of thorns,</b></font>
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِىْ مِنْ جُوْعٍؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger.</b></font>
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) (Other) faces on that day shall be happy,</b></font>
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Well-pleased because of their striving,</b></font>
فِىْ جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) In a lofty garden,</b></font>
لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيْهَا لَاغِيَةً ؕ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Wherein you shall not hear vain talk.</b></font>
فِيْهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ ۘ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Therein is a fountain flowing,</b></font>
فِيْهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوْعَةٌ ۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Therein are thrones raised high,</b></font>
وَّاَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوْعَةٌ ۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) And drinking-cups ready placed,</b></font>
وَّنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوْفَةٌ ۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And cushions set in a row,</b></font>
وَّزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوْثَةٌ ؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) And carpets spread out.</b></font>
اَفَلَا يَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَى الْاِ بِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created?</b></font>
وَاِلَى السَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) And the heaven, how it is reared aloft,</b></font>
وَاِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed,</b></font>
وَاِلَى الْاَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse?</b></font>
فَذَكِّرْ ؕ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ؕ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder.</b></font>
لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَۜيْطِرٍۙ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) You are not a watcher over them;</b></font>
اِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلّٰى وَكَفَرَۙ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) But whoever turns back and disbelieves,</b></font>
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللّٰهُ الْعَذَابَ الْاَكْبَرَؕ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement.</b></font>
اِنَّ اِلَيْنَاۤ اِيَابَهُمْۙ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) Surely to Us is their turning back,</b></font>
ثُمَّ اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account.</b></font>
SURAH AL-FAJR (THE DAYBREAK)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالْفَجْرِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the daybreak,</b></font>
وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And the ten nights,</b></font>
وَّالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And the even and the odd,</b></font>
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَسْرِۚ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And the night when it departs.</b></font>
هَلْ فِىْ ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِىْ حِجْرٍؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Truly in that there is an oath for those who possess understanding.</b></font>
اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad,</b></font>
اِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) (The people of) Aram, possessors of lofty buildings,</b></font>
الَّتِىْ لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِى الْبِلَادِۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) The like of which were not created in the (other) cities;</b></font>
وَثَمُوْدَ الَّذِيْنَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And (with) Samood, who hewed out the rocks in the valley,</b></font>
وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِى الْاَوْتَادِۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And (with) Firon, the lord of hosts,</b></font>
الَّذِيْنَ طَغَوْا فِى الْبِلَادِۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Who committed inordinacy in the cities,</b></font>
فَاَكْثَرُوْا فِيْهَا الْفَسَادَۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) So they made great mischief therein?</b></font>
فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ ۙۚ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Therefore your Lord let down upon them a portion of the chastisement.</b></font>
اِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِؕ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Most surely your Lord is watching.</b></font>
فَاَمَّا الْاِنْسَانُ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰٮهُ رَبُّهٗ فَاَكْرَمَهٗ وَنَعَّمَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّىْۤ اَكْرَمَنِؕ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead an easy life, he says: My Lord honors me.</b></font>
وَاَمَّاۤ اِذَا مَا ابْتَلٰٮهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهٗ ۙ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّىْۤ اَهَانَنِۚ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says: My Lord has disgraced me.</b></font>
كَلَّا بَلْ لَّا تُكْرِمُوْنَ الْيَتِيْمَۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Nay! but you do not honor the orphan,</b></font>
وَلَا تَحٰٓضُّوْنَ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor,</b></font>
وَتَاْكُلُوْنَ التُّرَاثَ اَكْلًا لَّمًّا ۙ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And you eat away the heritage, devouring (everything) indiscriminately,</b></font>
وَّتُحِبُّوْنَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا ؕ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) And you love wealth withexceeding love.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِذَا دُكَّتِ الْاَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ۙ(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) Nay! when the earth is made to crumble to pieces,</b></font>
وَّجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ۚ(22)
<font color="000000"><b>(22) And your Lord comes and (also) the angels in ranks,</b></font>
وَجِاىْٓءَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۙ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّتَذَكَّرُ الْاِنْسَانُ وَاَنّٰى لَهُ الذِّكْرٰىؕ(23)
<font color="000000"><b>(23) And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall being mindful (then) avail him?</b></font>
يَقُوْلُ يٰلَيْتَنِىْ قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِىۚ(24)
<font color="000000"><b>(24) He shall say: O! would that I had sent before for (this) my life!</b></font>
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ۙ(25)
<font color="000000"><b>(25) But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement,</b></font>
وَّلَا يُوْثِقُ وَثَاقَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ(26)
<font color="000000"><b>(26) And no one shall bind with (anything like) His binding.</b></font>
يٰۤاَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُۖ(27)
<font color="000000"><b>(27) O soul that art at rest!</b></font>
ارْجِعِىْۤ اِلٰى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً ۚ(28)
<font color="000000"><b>(28) Return to your Lord, well-pleased (with him), well-pleasing (Him),</b></font>
فَادْخُلِىْ فِىْ عِبٰدِىۙ(29)
<font color="000000"><b>(29) So enter among My servants,</b></font>
وَادْخُلِىْ جَنَّتِى(30)
<font color="000000"><b>(30) And enter into My garden.</b></font>
SURAH AL-BALAD (THE CITY)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
لَاۤ اُقْسِمُ بِهٰذَا الْبَلَدِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Nay! I swear by this city.</b></font>
وَاَنْتَ حِلٌّ ۢ بِهٰذَا الْبَلَدِۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And you shall be made free from obligation in this city--</b></font>
وَوَالِدٍ وَّمَا وَلَدَ ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And the begetter and whom he begot.</b></font>
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ فِىْ كَبَدٍؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Certainly We have created man to be in distress.</b></font>
اَيَحْسَبُ اَنْ لَّنْ يَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ اَحَدٌ ۘ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Does he think that no one has power over him?</b></font>
يَقُوْلُ اَهْلَكْتُ مَالًا لُّبَدًا ؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) He shall say: I have wasted much wealth.</b></font>
اَيَحْسَبُ اَنْ لَّمْ يَرَهٗۤ اَحَدٌ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Does he think that no one sees him?</b></font>
اَلَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَّهٗ عَيْنَيْنِۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Have We not given him two eyes,</b></font>
وَلِسَانًا وَّشَفَتَيْنِۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And a tongue and two lips,</b></font>
وَهَدَيْنٰهُ النَّجْدَيْنِۚ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And pointed out to him the two conspicuous ways?</b></font>
فَلَا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَۖ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) But he would not attempt the uphill road,</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْعَقَبَةُ ؕ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) And what will make you comprehend what the uphill road is?</b></font>
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ ۙ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) (It is) the setting free of a slave,</b></font>
اَوْ اِطْعٰمٌ فِىْ يَوْمٍ ذِىْ مَسْغَبَةٍ ۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Or the giving of food in a day of hunger</b></font>
يَّتِيْمًا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ ۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) To an orphan, having relationship,</b></font>
اَوْ مِسْكِيْنًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ ؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Or to the poor man lying in the dust.</b></font>
ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْمَرْحَمَةِ ؕ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Then he is of those who believe and charge one another to show patience, and charge one another to show compassion.</b></font>
اُولٰٓئِكَ اَصْحٰبُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ ؕ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) These are the people of the right hand.</b></font>
وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَا هُمْ اَصْحٰبُ الْمَشْئَمَةِ ؕ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And (as for) those who disbelieve in our communications, they are the people of the left hand.</b></font>
عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) On them is fire closed over.</b></font>
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحٰٮهَاۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the sun and its brilliance,</b></font>
وَالْقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰٮهَا ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And the moon when it follows the sun,</b></font>
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰٮهَا ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And the day when it shows it,</b></font>
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰٮهَا ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And the night when it draws a veil over it,</b></font>
وَالسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنٰٮهَا ۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And the heaven and Him Who made it,</b></font>
وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا طَحٰٮهَا ۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And the earth and Him Who extended it,</b></font>
وَنَفْسٍ وَّمَا سَوّٰٮهَا ۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And the soul and Him Who made it perfect,</b></font>
فَاَلْهَمَهَا فُجُوْرَهَا وَتَقْوٰٮهَا ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Then He inspired it to understand what is right and wrong for it;</b></font>
قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكّٰٮهَا ۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) He will indeed be successful who purifies it,</b></font>
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسّٰٮهَا ؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And he will indeed fail who corrupts it.</b></font>
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُوْدُ بِطَغْوٰٮهَآ ۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Samood gave the lie (to the truth) in their inordinacy,</b></font>
اِذِ انْۢبَعَثَ اَشْقٰٮهَا ۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) When the most unfortunate of them broke forth with</b></font>
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ نَاقَةَ اللّٰهِ وَسُقْيٰهَا ؕ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) So Allah's apostle said to them (Leave alone) Allah's she-camel, and (give) her (to) drink.</b></font>
فَكَذَّبُوْهُ فَعَقَرُوْهَا ۙفَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْۢبِهِمْ فَسَوّٰٮهَا ۙ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) But they called him a liar and slaughtered her, therefore their Lord crushed them for their sin and levelled them (with the ground).</b></font>
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبٰهَا(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) And He fears not its consequence.</b></font>
SURAH AL-LAYL (THE NIGHT)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا يَغْشٰىۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the night when it draws a veil,</b></font>
وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And the day when it shines in brightness,</b></font>
وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْاُنْثٰٓىۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And the creating of the male and the female,</b></font>
اِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتّٰىؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends).</b></font>
فَاَمَّا مَنْ اَعْطٰى وَاتَّقٰىۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil),</b></font>
وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنٰىۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) And accepts the best,</b></font>
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلْيُسْرٰىؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) We will facilitate for him the easy end.</b></font>
وَاَمَّا مَنْۢ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنٰىۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah),</b></font>
وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنٰىۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) And rejects the best,</b></font>
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهٗ لِلْعُسْرٰىؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) We will facilitate for him the difficult end.</b></font>
وَمَا يُغْنِىْ عَنْهُ مَالُهٗۤ اِذَا تَرَدّٰىؕ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes.</b></font>
اِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدٰىۖ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Surely Ours is it to show the way,</b></font>
وَاِنَّ لَنَا لَلْاٰخِرَةَ وَالْاُوْلٰى(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former.</b></font>
فَاَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظّٰىۚ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Therefore I warn you of the fire that flames:</b></font>
لَا يَصْلٰٮهَاۤ اِلَّا الْاَشْقَىۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) None shall enter it but the most unhappy,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back.</b></font>
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْاَتْقَىۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) And away from it shall be kept the one who guards most (against evil),</b></font>
الَّذِىْ يُؤْتِىْ مَالَهٗ يَتَزَكّٰىۚ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) Who gives away his wealth, purifying himself</b></font>
وَمَا لِاَحَدٍ عِنْدَهٗ مِنْ نِّعْمَةٍ تُجْزٰٓىۙ(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded,</b></font>
اِلَّا ابْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْاَعْلٰىۚ(20)
<font color="000000"><b>(20) Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High.</b></font>
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضٰى(21)
<font color="000000"><b>(21) And he shall soon be well-pleased.</b></font>
SURAH ADH-DHUHA ( THE BRIGHTNESS)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالضُّحٰىۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the early hours of the day,</b></font>
وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا سَجٰىۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And the night when it covers with darkness.</b></font>
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلٰىؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased,</b></font>
وَلَلْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْاُوْلٰىؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before.</b></font>
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيْكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضٰىؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased.</b></font>
اَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيْمًا فَاٰوٰى(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter?</b></font>
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآ لًّا فَهَدٰى(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)?</b></font>
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَاَغْنٰىؕ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And find you in want and make you to be free from want?</b></font>
فَاَمَّا الْيَتِيْمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him).</b></font>
وَاَمَّا السَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And as for him who asks, do not chide (him),</b></font>
وَاَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it).</b></font>
SURAH AL-INSHIRAH (THE EXPANSION)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Have We not expanded for you your breast,</b></font>
وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And taken off from you your burden,</b></font>
الَّذِىْۤ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Which pressed heavily upon your back,</b></font>
وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And exalted for you your esteem?</b></font>
فَاِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Surely with difficulty is ease.</b></font>
اِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) With difficulty is surely ease.</b></font>
فَاِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) So when you are free, nominate.</b></font>
وَاِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَب(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And make your Lord your exclusive object.</b></font>
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالتِّيْنِ وَالزَّيْتُوْنِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the fig and the olive,</b></font>
وَطُوْرِ سِيْنِيْنَۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And mount Sinai,</b></font>
وَهٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْاَمِيْنِۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And this city made secure,</b></font>
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْاِنْسَانَ فِىْۤ اَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيْمٍ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Certainly We created man in the best make.</b></font>
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنٰهُ اَسْفَلَ سَافِلِيْنَۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then We render him the lowest of the low.</b></font>
اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ فَلَهُمْ اَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Except those who believe and do good, so they shall have a reward never to be cut off.</b></font>
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّيْنِ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Then who can give you the lie after (this) about the Judgement?</b></font>
اَلَيْسَ اللّٰهُ بِاَحْكَمِ الْحٰكِمِيْنَ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Is not Allah the best of the Judges?</b></font>
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِقْرَاْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِىْ خَلَقَۚ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Read in the name of your Lord Who created.</b></font>
خَلَقَ الْاِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍۚ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) He created man from a clot.</b></font>
اِقْرَاْ وَرَبُّكَ الْاَكْرَمُۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Read and your Lord is Most Honorable,</b></font>
الَّذِىْ عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Who taught (to write) with the pen</b></font>
عَلَّمَ الْاِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Taught man what he knew not.</b></font>
كَلَّاۤ اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغٰٓىۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Nay! man is most surely inordinate,</b></font>
اَنْ رَّاٰهُ اسْتَغْنٰىؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Because he sees himself free from want.</b></font>
اِنَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعٰىؕ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Surely to your Lord is the return.</b></font>
اَرَءَيْتَ الَّذِىْ يَنْهٰىؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Have you seen him who forbids</b></font>
عَبْدًا اِذَا صَلّٰىؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) A servant when he prays?</b></font>
اَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدٰٓىۙ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Have you considered if he were on the right way,</b></font>
اَوْ اَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوٰىۙ(12)
<font color="000000"><b>(12) Or enjoined guarding (against evil)?</b></font>
اَرَءَيْتَ اِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّٰىؕ(13)
<font color="000000"><b>(13) Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back?</b></font>
اَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرٰىؕ(14)
<font color="000000"><b>(14) Does he not know that Allah does see?</b></font>
كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَّمْ يَنْتَهِ ۙ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِالنَّاصِيَةِۙ(15)
<font color="000000"><b>(15) Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead,</b></font>
نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ۚ(16)
<font color="000000"><b>(16) A lying, sinful forehead.</b></font>
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهٗ ۙ(17)
<font color="000000"><b>(17) Then let him summon his council,</b></font>
سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ ۙ(18)
<font color="000000"><b>(18) We too would summon the braves of the army.</b></font>
كَلَّا ؕ لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ۩(19)
<font color="000000"><b>(19) Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah).</b></font>
SURAH AL-QADR (THE MAJESTY)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِنَّاۤ اَنْزَلْنٰهُ فِىْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ۖ ۚ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Surely We revealed it on the grand night.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِؕ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And what will make you comprehend what the grand night</b></font>
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ ۙ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) The grand night is better than a thousand months.</b></font>
تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ وَالرُّوْحُ فِيْهَا بِاِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْۚ مِّنْ كُلِّ اَمْرٍ ۛۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) The angels and Jibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair,</b></font>
سَلٰمٌ ۛهِىَ حَتّٰى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Peace! it is till the break of the morning.</b></font>
SURAH AL-BAYYINAH (THE CLEAR EVIDENCE)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ مُنْفَكِّيْنَ حَتّٰى تَاْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ ۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Those who disbelieved from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists could not have separated (from the faithful) until there had come to them the clear evidence:</b></font>
رَسُوْلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ يَتْلُوْا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) An apostle from Allah, reciting pure pages,</b></font>
فِيْهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Wherein are all the right ordinances.</b></font>
وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ ؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence had come to them.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اُمِرُوْۤا اِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصِيْنَ لَهُ الدِّيْنَ ۙ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَذٰلِكَ دِيْنُ الْقَيِّمَةِ ؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion.</b></font>
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ وَ الْمُشْرِكِيْنَ فِىْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا ؕ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ ؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of men.</b></font>
اِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۙ اُولٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) (As for) those who believe and do good, surely they are the -best of men.</b></font>
جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِىْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِيْنَ فِيْهَاۤ اَبَدًا ؕ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوْا عَنْهُ ؕ ذٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِىَ رَبَّهٗ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord.</b></font>
SURAH AL-ZILZAAL (THE EARTHQUAKE)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking,</b></font>
وَاَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَا ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And the earth brings forth her burdens,</b></font>
وَقَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا ۚ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And man says: What has befallen her?</b></font>
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَا ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) On that day she shall tell her news,</b></font>
بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰى لَهَا ؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Because your Lord had inspired her.</b></font>
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًا ۙ لِّيُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْؕ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works.</b></font>
فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it</b></font>
وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it.</b></font>
SURAH AL-‘AADIYAAT (THE ASSAULTERS)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالْعٰدِيٰتِ ضَبْحًا ۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the runners breathing pantingly,</b></font>
فَالْمُوْرِيٰتِ قَدْحًا ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Then those that produce fire striking,</b></font>
فَالْمُغِيْرٰتِ صُبْحًا ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Then those that make raids at morn,</b></font>
فَاَثَرْنَ بِهٖ نَقْعًا ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Then thereby raise dust,</b></font>
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهٖ جَمْعًا ۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Then rush thereby upon an assembly:</b></font>
اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّهٖ لَكَنُوْدٌ ۚ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord.</b></font>
وَاِنَّهٗ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَهِيْدٌ ۚ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And most surely he is a witness of that.</b></font>
وَاِنَّهٗ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيْدٌ ؕ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.</b></font>
اَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ اِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى الْقُبُوْرِۙ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised,</b></font>
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى الصُّدُوْرِۙ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And what is in the breasts is made apparent?</b></font>
اِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيْرٌ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them.</b></font>
SURAH AL-QARI’AH (THE TERRIBLE CALAMITY)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَلْقَارِعَةُ ۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) The terrible calamity!</b></font>
مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ۚ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) What is the terrible calamity!</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ ؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is?</b></font>
يَوْمَ يَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) The day on which men shall be as scattered moths,</b></font>
وَتَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوْشِؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And the mountains shall be as loosened wool.</b></font>
فَاَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ ۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy,</b></font>
فَهُوَ فِىْ عِيْشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) He shall live a pleasant life.</b></font>
وَاَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِيْنُهٗ ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) And as for him whose measure of good deeds is light,</b></font>
فَاُمُّهٗ هَاوِيَةٌ ؕ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) His abode shall be the abyss.</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا هِيَهْ ؕ(10)
<font color="000000"><b>(10) And what will make you know what it is?</b></font>
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ(11)
<font color="000000"><b>(11) A burning fire.</b></font>
SURAH AT-TAKATHUR (THE MULTIPLICATION OF WEALTH)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَلْهٰٮكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Abundance diverts you,</b></font>
حَتّٰى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَؕ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Until you come to the graves.</b></font>
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Nay! you shall soon know,</b></font>
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَؕ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Nay! Nay! you shall soon know.</b></font>
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِيْنِؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge,</b></font>
لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيْمَۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) You should most certainly have seen the hell;</b></font>
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِيْنِۙ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty;</b></font>
ثُمَّ لَتُسْئَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons.</b></font>
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَالْعَصْرِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) I swear by the time,</b></font>
اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لَفِىْ خُسْرٍۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Most surely man is in loss,</b></font>
اِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ ۙ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on each other patience.</b></font>
SURAH AL-HUMAZAH (THE SLANDERER)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةِ ۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Woe to every slanderer, defamer,</b></font>
۟الَّذِىْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗ ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap);</b></font>
يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخْلَدَهٗ ۚ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.</b></font>
كَلَّا لَيُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِى الْحُطَمَةِ ۖ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster,</b></font>
وَمَاۤ اَدْرٰٮكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is?</b></font>
نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُ ۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) It is the fire kindled by Allah,</b></font>
الَّتِىْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْئِدَةِ ؕ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) Which rises above the hearts.</b></font>
اِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌ ۙ(8)
<font color="000000"><b>(8) Surely it shall be closed over upon them,</b></font>
فِىْ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ(9)
<font color="000000"><b>(9) In extended columns.</b></font>
SURAH AL-FEEL (THE ELEPHANT)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِاَصْحٰبِ الْفِيْلِؕ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?</b></font>
اَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِىْ تَضْلِيْلٍۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Did He not cause their war to end in confusion,</b></font>
وَّاَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا اَبَابِيْلَۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks,</b></font>
تَرْمِيْهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّنْ سِجِّيْلٍۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Casting against them stones of baked clay,</b></font>
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّاْكُوْلٍ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) So He rendered them like straw eaten up?</b></font>
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
لِاِيْلٰفِ قُرَيْشٍۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) For the protection of the Qureaish--</b></font>
اٖلٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَآءِ وَالصَّيْفِۚ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Their protection during their trading caravans in the winter and the summer--</b></font>
فَلْيَعْبُدُوْا رَبَّ هٰذَا الْبَيْتِۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) So let them serve the Lord of this House</b></font>
الَّذِىْۤ اَطْعَمَهُمْ مِّنْ جُوْعٍ ۙ وَّاٰمَنَهُمْ مِّنْ خَوْفٍ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Who feeds them against hunger and gives them security against fear.</b></font>
SURAH AL-MAA’UN (THE DAILY NECESSITIES)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اَرَءَيْتَ الَّذِىْ يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّيْنِؕ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Have you considered him who calls the Judgement a lie?</b></font>
فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِىْ يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيْمَۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,</b></font>
وَ لَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِيْنِؕ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.</b></font>
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّيْنَۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) So woe to the praying ones,</b></font>
الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُوْنَۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Who are unmindful of their prayers,</b></font>
الَّذِيْنَ هُمْ يُرَآءُوْنَۙ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) Who do (good) to be seen,</b></font>
وَيَمْنَعُوْنَ الْمَاعُوْنَ(7)
<font color="000000"><b>(7) And withhold the necessaries of life.</b></font>
SURAH AL-KAWTHAR (THE HEAVENLY SPRING)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِنَّاۤ اَعْطَيْنٰكَ الْكَوْثَرَؕ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Surely We have given you Kausar,</b></font>
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ ؕ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.</b></font>
اِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْاَبْتَرُ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Surely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity,</b></font>
SURAH AL-KAAFIRUN (THE DISBELIEVERS)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
قُلْ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الْكٰفِرُوْنَۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Say: O unbelievers!</b></font>
لَاۤ اَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُوْنَۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) I do not serve that which you serve,</b></font>
وَلَاۤ اَنْتُمْ عٰبِدُوْنَ مَاۤ اَعْبُدُ ۚ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Nor do you serve Him Whom I serve:</b></font>
وَلَاۤ اَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدْتُّمْۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) Nor am I going to serve that which you serve,</b></font>
وَ لَاۤ اَنْتُمْ عٰبِدُوْنَ مَاۤ اَعْبُدُ ؕ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Nor are you going to serve Him Whom I serve:</b></font>
لَكُمْ دِيْنُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِيْنِ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) You shall have your religion and I shall have my religion.</b></font>
SURAH AN-NASR (THE ASSISTANCE)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
اِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ اللّٰهِ وَالْفَتْحُۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) When there comes the help of Allah and the victory,</b></font>
وَرَاَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُوْنَ فِىْ دِيْنِ اللّٰهِ اَفْوَاجًا ۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) And you see men entering the religion of Allah in companies,</b></font>
فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ ؔؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ تَوَّابًا(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) Then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and ask His forgiveness; surely He is oft-returning (to mercy).</b></font>
SURAH AL-LAHAB (THE FLAME)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
تَبَّتْ يَدَاۤ اَبِىْ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّؕ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish.</b></font>
مَاۤ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَؕ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) His wealth and what he earns will not avail him.</b></font>
سَيَصْلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ۖۚ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) He shall soon burn in fire that flames,</b></font>
وَّامْرَاَ تُهٗ ؕ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِۚ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And his wife, the bearer of fuel,</b></font>
فِىْ جِيْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope.</b></font>
SURAH AT-TAWHID (THE UNITY)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدٌ ۚ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Say: He, Allah, is One.</b></font>
اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ ۚ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) Allah is He on Whom all depend.</b></font>
لَمْ يَلِدْ ۙ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْ ۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) He begets not, nor is He begotten.</b></font>
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ (4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And none is like Him.</b></font>
SURAH AL-FALAQ (THE DAWN)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn,</b></font>
مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) From the evil of what He has created,</b></font>
وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) And from the evil of the utterly dark night when it comes,</b></font>
وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِى الْعُقَدِۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) And from the evil of those who blow on knots,</b></font>
وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) And from the evil of the envious when he envies</b></font>
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِۙ(1)
<font color="000000"><b>(1) Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men,</b></font>
مَلِكِ النَّاسِۙ(2)
<font color="000000"><b>(2) The King of men,</b></font>
اِلٰهِ النَّاسِۙ(3)
<font color="000000"><b>(3) The god of men,</b></font>
مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ ۙ الْخَنَّاسِ ۙ(4)
<font color="000000"><b>(4) From the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan),</b></font>
الَّذِىْ يُوَسْوِسُ فِىْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِۙ(5)
<font color="000000"><b>(5) Who whispers into the hearts of men,</b></font>
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ(6)
<font color="000000"><b>(6) From among the jinn and the men.</b></font>
